I really like these shoes for what I bought them for - hiking. I generally use the same shoes for walking in town as I do for hiking. These are not as soft coushionie as my running shoes but will do for both purposes. They seem to run at least a half size big. I had a lot of room and bought a Dr. Scholls insert for more coushion which helped with them being slightly too loose. I love the look and they are super light weight. Overall I am pleased with these shoes.

I love the Merrell brand, and the shoe fit was great. I typically get a 7.5 B width, but I had read a review that these run a bit narrow, so I ordered the 7.5 wide. I also have Merrell high top hiking boots, so I knew I needed a wide. Perfect fit. Walked 3 miles the first day. I was looking for a walking shoe that was not the stretchy material, as I go through those shoes very quickly, and also wear the bottom with walking a few miles daily. I also use orthodic inserts, and the liner is removable, and inserts fit well. I noticed they are a harder hit on the pavement (stiff sole), obviously, than the spongy New Balance walking shoes I had been using. However, I feel like these will last much longer as the sole is more of a trail walking/hiking shoe. They also do not breathe as well as the fabric shoe, but this is what I was looking for, going into the cooler months. Highly recommend if you're tough on walking shoes or want to use for hiking.

This is my second pair of these. I loved the first pair so much that I wore down the treads in less than four months of daily 5 mile COVID-era walks. Not only do they feel good on my feet, they improve my posture.

I wear an 11, have a narrow heel, and like a little toe room. Always have difficulty finding comfortable shoes. Ordered the 11M and it fits perfectly. Attractive shoe (slate color), good arch support and very comfortable. The color is nice with everything--jeans, slacks.

Runs size bigger. Great style and color. Comfortable.

I bought these for hiking the Hiawatha National Forest in the UP MI. They fit me perfectly. I did not even need to break them in. They are very comfortable and are ideal for forest hikes. I recommend them.

Hiking in Colorado, rock climbing and simply walking around have all been very comfortable and sturdy.

This is my 3rd pair In last year because they aren't bulky and colors are pretty.
