It seemed tight width wise. Very noisy when walking on our kitchen floor.

The fit was not that of 4E in men's. I am female with wide feet and bought a men's sneaker to ensure a good wide fit. The sneaker offers no arch support and the sole is very thin, would offer no comfort to a worker standing for a 10hr shift in one place packing. I've returned them. I was so happy with the style, color and durability of the shoe but very disappointed that there was no comfort level. My toe hit the composite quite hard.

I feel that the comfort could be better by the toes area. Also it would be nice to have the other options that are available the selections are very slim this year

Shoes rubbed the sides of my feet causing discomfort, and they are not very comfortable after 3-5 hours. (Also kinda heavy) I thought these would be a good option considering they are New Balance brand name. I will be returning these or throwing them in the trash.

Really wanted to keep these great looking shoes, but the fit and toe area was extremely rigid and unforgiving. Needed something a lot more comfortable to withstand the 10 hour days on my feet. I understand the composite toe is going to be stiff, but the overall comfort of the shoe did not compensate for this.

It’s an ok shoe. But I’m very picky with bad feet. Either I’ll need to break it in more/select a different size or shoe. It’s ok if you don’t have foot problems, but your feet maybe ok. Good luck

While the shoes were great in the beginning, they started to deteriorate over the year. I still will wear them but less frequently

The shoes look good like with most New Balance lines. Highly durable construction, quite lightweight, and can survive a 70 lbs air-conditioning unit on its toes. I wish I could give it higher ratings on comfort, the shoes are uncomfortable after 6hours of working standing up. I would suggest additional arch support, but the manufacturer doesn't recommend such modifications due to the anti-static certification of the shoe. Also, the shoes are not the best driving shoes specially for those who drive a manual transmission vehicle, which kinda is the main reason I chose a New Balance. New Balances "usually" make excellent shoes for driving a manual transmission vehicle.

The composite toes were a bit uncomfortable. Nice shoe but not quite right for my needs.

The fit is nice and snug. Really good work shoes with style.

The shoes do fit true to size, they do however feel a bit narrow at the toe. Not sure what the solution without ordering a size up in width, and I believe that would allow too much wiggle room.

fells too hot

New Balance 10 1/2 Wide has always been my go-to shoe for a perfect fit. Unfortunately, the comp toe ruins this shoe. The outer side was narrow and not contoured for a wide foot, it’s sharp narrow exposed inner edge would cause too much pain if not a cut toe to walk in these as it digs into the side of my foot. Too bad, I liked the design other than this one dealbreaker flaw.

The toe box was a bit narrow, the composite toe was rubbing up against my little toe. Other than that the shoe was very comfortable.

I first ordered size 9 normal. After wearing them a few hours my toes felt smashed together. I exchanged them for 9 WIDE and was much better. The sole inside fells hard. I had to include insoles for more cushion.

Shoes bit heavy, but true to size. Had to return pair because of holes that development shortly after wearing them at work. Customer service handled return request without any hassle.

The medium width “D” was too narrow at the composite toe. If you wear a medium width shoe you may want to consider going to the next width up to allow for the toe cap.

The New Balance safety shoes look and fit well, but the comfort is not what you expect from New Balance. I don't understand why companies can't make a comfortable safety shoe. Arch support and memory foam insoles won't take away the safety of the shoe, why can't companies incorporate these comforts into safety shoes. I say companies because I have tried at least 3 different brands and they all have issues with comfort.

The overall shoe is very nice. I thought the toe cap would be ok, but it really cramped my toes and the whole shoe felt smaller. I have worn size 12 for many years with no problem and have purchased New Balance for years. Maybe the difference is usually I buy New Balance because they are made in America. I noticed these were made in China.

I have happily worn out many pairs New Balance shoes. Having difficult to fit feet, their 13EEs are usually my go to shoe. So when I needed safety toe shoes for work, I felt these were a safe choice. While the fit was as I expected the soles felt rock hard and made my knees hurt after working in them all day. I tried them two days, alternating between my Red Wings and the NBs... no knee pain in the Red Wings, NB's caused discomfort both days worn.
