Khaki color is see through. I bought a size up and fit was ok, but unfortunately I will be returning due to the sheerness of the fabric.

Was odd in the crotch area, bunched up. Bummer, because in all other respects fit well.

I ordered these shorts because they looked nice and practical and I have had very good experiences with Columbia pants and shorts in the past. I was very excited for them to come in and tried them on but found out they are completely see through. I kept the tag tucked into the pocket as I tried them on and you could read the tag through the material. If you're wanting to wear something like spandex under these in this color then you'll be fine, but I will be returning mine.

Either the waist need to be larger or the stride needs more material

I usually have a very good fit with Columbia products however, this not so true. My best recommend fit from Columbia was a 14 and it ran small. I wish they would have noted that the hand pockets are in fact netted mesh. I would not have bought. They appear to be swim trucks, not just a sunny day or pool side. Mesh pockets are huge disappointment.

These shorts are outstanding in fit, comfort, and stitch quality...but they are completely transparent in White. Toss modesty out the window completely because white or neutral underpants still stick out like they are the only thing you're wearing.

I always wear a 10, but these shorts were probably 2 sizes too small

VERY see through..... otherwise nice shorts.

I ordered these based on similar Columbia shorts I purchased a couple years ago and adore. Fit is slightly smaller. The material scratchy, seems to wrinkle easily, snaps hard to open. Not what I expected. I returned.

Fabric is see through. Liners of pockets completely visible.

These shorts were poor construction.and extremely thin material.

I had a previous pair of these in size 4; ordered the 4's and they are basically 2 sizes too small! Sizing must have changed. I still fit in the original 4's....these were my favorite pants for everyday. Didn't reorder in diff size because I just get tired of online shopping ;)

I purchased these shorts in the light khaki color and they are completely see through, so they are going back. Why would Columbia use such a thin material for shorts?

Completely see through. I just ordered multiple colors and will be returning all of them all. If you are comfortable running around with no underwear you might be ok but you can see everything. Worthless shorts.

I have this pair of shorts in navy blue and liked them. I thought this would be a nice color but unfortunately they are completely see through. Even the netting in the front pockets is visible when worn. I can't imagine who thought that nearly shear shorts would be a good idea. Normally, I love Columbia shorts as they can be worn hiking or dressed up with a nicer top, but these were not wearable.

The cut is good and the fabric is great. However, the light fossil color is see through!

The shorts themselves are very comfortable and fit well, but the tan colour "fossil" is completely see through. No matter what underwear I put on you could see EVERYTHING. Ended up having to return this colour because there is no way it could be worn.

These are so thin you can see through them. A huge downgrade from the previous ones.

Size 12 fit true to size. The white fabric is so thin anything will show through. Returned

In the picture these shorts do NOT look see through, except where the pockets are at, very very see through.

Shorts are see through, would not recommend unless you want see through shorts.

The back side of the shorts is sheer and you can clearly see everything I am wearing under them. Inappropriate for any situation.

These shorts have no give in the waist and run small besides. I ordered a size up from my normal size 10 but they were still too small. Sent back for a refund... less the shipping.
