Very nice fit and well made. Nice pockets. Only issue is that the fabric for white shorts is a bit thin.

The green shorts fit well like my other Coral Point III shorts, which I have in the Navy and gray but they are see through, like the white ones. I had to return them. You can see the pocket liners through the front of the shorts. This is a big defect with them and it's a shame because the size 10 shorts fit me well. I'm 5'8" and 143 lbs. Not a lot of give with that size but size 12 is too big.

The material is ok, I wish it had a bit more substance to it. The legs are very wide compared to the waist size. I always find that Columbia clothing runs very small compared to similar products

I recently bought a pair of these shorts at an outlet shop. I love their fit and everything about them. Unfortunately, they changed the fit as these are a little smaller and the pockets are mesh instead of actual pockets. I was disappointed to see the difference.

These shorts are ok. I like the color, and the stretchy waist is nice. From the side and back they look nice and the length is perfect. However, something about the crotch area fits tighter than everywhere else but still manages to pooch out strangely from the front.

These would be the perfect shorts if they got rid of the restrictive button waist band. These shorts are stretchy, best material, great pockets, you almost forget that they are flawed until you try to bend over and the waist band cuts into your gut. I wear these to fish and every time I regret it. Please add a sensible stretchy waist band that matches the great stretchy material the rest of the shorts are made of.

Originally ordered these shorts in a size 6 because the reviewers all mentioned they run small. I am normally a 4 in the shorts and thought a size up would do. In other Columbia gear, especially the tops, I am a medium and dont have to size up for that. These shorts were way too tight in a 6. Unfortunately I had to order a 10 because they were out of 8s. The 10 fits great in the waist but is loose everywhere else. I'm not sure how much better an 8 would be. I got these primarily for rafting and water activities because they dry super fast. I dont mind that the fit is off because I do get more movement and flexibility for what I need them. If you plan to use them for just day to day wear, the fit might be an issue.

I love these shorts! Have multiple pair in the darker colors. Unfortunately, these are too see through in the FOSSIL color :( REALLY disappointing....

Great shorts however the fossil colour is essentially SEE-THROUGH. There is absolutely no way I can wear these so they are going back. Super lightweight fabric and comfortable - would love to try them in another colour to see if the material holds up better.

Just purchased these for work in the Fossil color (the only tan/khaki option). They are basically see through which is a little upsetting. I have several older pairs of these shorts in a similar color and they are not like this. I worry with the thin material how they will hold up long term considering they are worn daily.

I am an Athletic Trainer and I rely on good quality shorts that are made for the outdoors, and still look professional. I bought these shorts in Black and Fossil (khaki color). The quality of the shorts is AMAZING, and I will definitely be buying more. My issues lies with the Fossil color shorts because they are soooooooo light colored and the material is thin, so they are VERY see through. I was bummed because I needed these shorts in a khaki color. If this was not the case these shorts would be 5 stars across the board.

I typically love columbia shorts, I've got several pair and they are comfortable and durable. I ordered the Coral Pint III in a light kaki color and to my disappointment they are very seeing through! If not for that I would not be returning them.

These shorts fit FANTASTIC. True to size, comfortable, perfect for those hot Florida days BUT beware that the fossil color is completely see through. You can see the color/pattern of your underwear perfectly and every dimple your body has. I wish I would've read the reviews before purchasing as some others have stated this as well. I would have gotten them in darker colors had I known!

I only rated these shorts 3stars only because I ordered the wrong style. I did not realize that they are partial elastic in waist. I need to pay more attention. Overall if you like that kind of waist, it looks like a great pair of shorts.

I really wanted to love these shorts because they were the perfect length and I liked the teal color. I followed the sizing chart measurements, which lead me to order the size of shorts that I typically wear in pants. These ended up being so tight in the waist band it gave me an awful muffin top and was honestly surprised the snaps stayed shut (so, I'd say the snaps are solid, ha!). Apart from that, the rest of the pants were snug across my darrier and I wouldn't say I have excessive junk in my trunk. You could see every lump, panty line, and pocket liner outlined in the material; and they were borderline snug on my thighs. So I ordered the next size up, one size larger than my normal pant size. Closed more comfortably, still muffin top, still see panty lines and outlines of pocket liners in the fabric (which also made me annoyed that there's only a back pocket on one side so it's not even symmetrical lines) BUT I felt there was enough room in the thighs. I wanted to love these so bad, I badly need a pair of summer shorts. The snaps and zippers, and the material and stitching appeared to be of good quality. I wish the fabric was a little more forgiving, and I would certainly recommend ordering at least one size larger than your normal pants size. After 2 tries I sent them both back and gave up.

These shorts are so comfortable! I love them...the fit, the Omni-Shade fabric and that they have 3 usable pockets. However, I bought the shorts in white and they are simply too transparent. I just can't wear them in public. Maybe they aren't so transparent in other colors(?) ...I'm not happy to return them because everything else is positive, but I must.

I'm 5'2, 140lb, big butt. Size 6 fits a little bit too tight around the legs, waist ok. I've purchased 5 different pairs of shorts and literally every single one of them give me camel toe. Looks like there's too much material in between the legs. My first time ordering from Columbia and this brand seems to be not working for my body type.

Got my normal size for this brand which is a 4. They were completely see through and were not the same length as my other 5in pfg shorts. These were about an inch shorter and were a bit tight.

I mean, maybe I put on a lot of pandemic weight, but I really thought I could wear a 12 comfortably (I'm normally an 8/10). These 12's cut off my circulation and have me rethinking my entire diet and exercise routine. :(
