As a family we've had 30+ pairs of Altras. Super excited for the kids to finally fit in them. The exterior has held up for a solid 8 months of daily use, trails and biking. The inside has been an issue. The inserts that are meant to be removed when you grow out, slide out to easily so we ditched those in the first month. That lead to the shoe lining getting torn and rolling into the toe box, had to eventually cut that out so that our son would wear them. Loved the idea of the shoe "growing" some but it seems the liner needs to be re-enforced if that is intended to have constant contact with the foot. Honestly though we will be buying two more pairs for Christmas this year.

I am an adult woman with small feet. I love Altra shoes, but the women's 5.5 (the smallest size) is just too large, and I get massive blisters. I tried these as a size down, but the quality is just so much poorer. The liner is slippery and slides out the heel and bunches under the arch when running or walking. Without the liner, the cushioning level is too low for me and the shoe is bigger, so I'm back to massive blisters. I was hoping the kids line would be a work around for me and others with small feet, but if that is you, don't waste your money.

Thus is our 2nd pair of these. My son loves the style, comfort, and weight. There are a couple of major issues...The Kid insole insert immediately bunches up and becomes useless. And, the durability is poor. My son is on his 2nd pair in 4 months, the new ones are 1 month old and looking very warn with holes in the fabric around the ankle. Unlikely we but these again.
