Good fit and size for a size 10 and just the look I wanted.

The shoes are very comfortable and supportive. I immediately bought a thicker insole, as usual. New Balance shoes designs are the best, but the insoles are less comfortable than separately sold ones.

They felt good from the moment I put them on. Very pleased with them.

As someone with narrow feet, these shoes hug my arches perfectly. On day one of wearing them I received three compliments on the style and color. They are a beautiful deep lavender~ unique and sophisticated.

I have been trying to find the correct size for a longtime. Finally realizing I’m a narrow. Ugh 13 narrow but if fits perfectly and I feel like I’m walking in the clouds. No more feet pain. Thank you Zappos for sticking w me as I kept trying shoes now that I found some that fit I purchased 3 pairs.

Firm fit for foot which is good for exercise walking, etc. WIsh the foot pad had just a touch mor cushioning.

My podiatrist always recommended the New Balance 990 for extra arch support and stability for my flat feet. I found them heavy, clumsy, and not attractive. I tried the 940 because the 990 was not available in my size, and I love them. They are lightweight, flexible, and way more attractive. They also accommodate my orthotics as well as the 990. Switching for life!

Close call on sizing. You might order these shoes 1/2 size larger. They are just snug enough in the toebox that some wearers may benefit from the up-half-size suggestion. But it is a close call, try them on and see how they fit your own feet, may agree or maybe not. Width sizing seems to be okay, though.

great shoes - will buy again!

Very comfortable with a wide toe bed and excellent but moderate arch support. I purchased a Women's 11 wide with a typical 10.5 W in a shoe. These worked very well---no rubbing or slipping. I ordered the Gray with peach accent- pretty.

I wear a 10 AAA and these are the only running shoes that are narrow enough for my feet. Also have room for my orthotics so the arch support is great.

These shoes are fantastic! They provide great support and stability for my funky feet. I love them. My feet don't slide in and my back and hips feel so much better when wearing these.

I LIKE these shoes. This is my 5th or 6th pair of 9.5AA New Balance shoes. A few days ago I bought 9.5AA New Balance W840v4 running shoes and they did not fit at all—tight and uncomfortable—this despite them being the identical model I bought 2 years ago and still comfortably wear occasionally. It definitely made me question the brand and I returned them immediately. There are not a lot of narrow shoes offered/available from other manufacturers so I crossed my fingers and ordered in the 940’s. These ones are good—comfortable and the fit is what I expected. Much better!
