Wow, great shoe! Impressed with the true to size width for a Wide shoe. Unlike the foam shoes, it has great support, and like any other shoe in the world you have to buy your own shoe inserts, because well everyone's foot is different, right?! Removed the 940v4 insert and placed mine and it's now perfect. This shoe has a slight lower heel coverage compared to my NB 990v5. I like how light they feel, perfect for my home video exercises.

I am 86 years old and wanted these shoes for daily wear. I have purchased NB shoes for the past several years. These shoes ran smaller than the other NB styles of shoes I have purchased. Then next size was too wide, so this style is not for me.

I am a walker and like to have a good looking as well as comfortable sneaker. I wear a 9 1/2 AA narrow and they are great except the toe box is bigger than I want for my narrow feet. I'm wearing them and I like them a lot.

I walk often, long distances. I have used NB shoes for a long time now!

Used for my walking everyday about 4-5 miles. Could use more arch support and softer inserts.

Overall I love the New Balance sneakers. It has helped with my flat feet and some with my back and knee issues. My major complaint is that the sneakers are hard to keep clean. I have both colors now, and prefer the black because of all the dirt/stains that get on these cloth sneakers. I wish these sneakers were in leather. I wore white leather Hush Puppies for many many years and the sneakers never ever looked dirty. I have cleaned the sneakers several times with Dawn detergent and cannot get all the marks out. I wear these running sneakers all day long.

I like the shoe. It's comfortable. I wear extra wide and it looks very wide compared to the 1250 version which appears less wide on the foot. I'm disappointed that the 1250 shoe is no longer being produced.

I've been buying the 860 for a long time and wanted the new 860V10. I've waited and waited for it to become available in narrow sizes (the 860V9 was and previousl versions, I believe, too. Regrettably, it's only available in black sometimes. I do NOT want a black shoe. Either of the other two colors it's available in would be great but not black. I'm very disappointed. This shoe feels good, probably will be okay, but I settled in purchasing it because it was the only shoe available in narrow widths that isn't black. This might be the catalyst to shop other brands, my "go to" shoe isn't to be.

I've ordered narrow shoes from New Balance in the past with much success. The last two pair said "narrow", but we're definitely not. I'll order from somewhere else in the future.

I have many issues with my feet and knees. Worn out from 26 years of up and down extreme walking. Plus born with pronation and thin, weak, flat feet. These shoes were comfortable from the start. But for the price I'd expect them to last longer. They lost their cushion comfort in about 3-4 months. I added padding with more arch support. Then then the toes wore through. I relined and mended them. The pair I have are light gray so it's hard to look clean after working outside. I'm in need of new ones but I'm not sure I should spend so much on another pair.

I normally wear 840's and I didn't realize the toe box was so narrow in comparison to the 840's sizing is slightly longer in length between the two also, to where sizing down isn't an option.

This running shoe is the only one I will wear. However, the price tag is a bit ridiculous.

I bought these a year ago. They were okay at first, but after a while they start to get uncomfortable and there are holes in the end of the toes.. I only got them because my podiatrist recommended them for me since I am on my feet everyday. I don't fins myself reaching for these daily anymore just because they are not comfortable anymore. I gave it three stars because they were comfortable for about 6 months which was nice.

This is my favorite shoe. I really did not want black but that was the only option. I dearly hope they are not discontinuing this shoe because fresh foam does not work for me. I love the stability.

I am standing on concrete for 8 hours in a retail environment. These new 940's are not as comfortable as the old pair purchased last year.

I've bought quite a few of these sneakers through different series of designs to help me with my pronation and need for stability when I run outside and workout at the gym. I found this 940v4 style to be a little bigger and bulkier. I usually wear a 8.5W and ordered the same size but found too much space in the heel area. I have to tighten the laces to keep them on, which then hurt the top of my foot after awhile. Wish I had known. Would have orders a 1/2 size down at least.
