I have overpronation/ankle/knee issues and need a motion control shoe for walking. However, most of the walking shoes I would normally order are sold out in my size, so I tried this running shoe. It doesn't have quite the stability of a shoe made for walking (hence the overall rating of 4), but I really like it. It's comfortable, fits perfectly, and looks cool. I ordered the blue color and since the shoes I normally buy typically only come in white, it's nice to have a bit of a "fashion" shoe. A bit nervous about how the mesh-ish toe area will hold up; I haven't had a shoe with this material before, but it seems to be almost all you can find these days....

I need better arch support

Initially, the fit is great, but immediately walking across the room, there is a LOT of extra room in the heel, even when tightening up the laces. Surely to cause blisters. Unfortunately, returning.

I went online to order my 5th pair of 940s and saw that asics again offered the gel kayanos in a narrow! Woo hoo! I had worn asics for years before they suddenly dropped the narrows from their line. I went ahead and ordered both and found that while the 940s are still comfortable the asics are narrower through the mid foot and give better support. So the 940s are going back.

I normally wear a 10.5 in a regular loafer or dress shoe, but have to order an 11 in New Balance. This model runs at least a half size too small so I exchanged for an 11.5.

They were too short for me

My heel kept slipping a bit.

I felt like the fit of these shoes was true to size and was very happy with the comfort of the arch support. The only drawback I've noticed so far is that the back of the shoes "eat" my footie-type socks as I walk along. (especially uphill) I'm hoping that when i start wearing regular socks with cooler weather that this problem will not happen.

I wear a size 8 Medium and ordered size 8 and they fit pretty good. I just like Bigger toe box and those are hard to find now a days. I have narrow heels , but I like my toes to spread out and have breathing room. SO they kinda was hurting my big toe, and getting them tight to not have the heel flop is always a challenge. I put my own Orthotics in them - which helps. I ordered a shoe stretcher to see if I could stretch the areas that was bothering my Big toes and see if I could make the toe area a bit taller, wider. I had a pair of Fresh Foam NB, (no longer make/offer) that I have lived in for years, but they are falling apart and trying to find a replacement like those has been challenging. Looking for wide toe box , narrow heel has been difficult. I wish Zappos could work with shoe makers and I could put in "Wide toe box, narrow heel" and all the shoes that match that criteria would pop up. NB use to do that years ago , to help me always choose the right shoe for the needs of my foot. So not sure why they stopped doing that. So it is hit and miss and try, try, try. Then knowing if you can get thru a month of "Break in" your good to go. Just that first few weeks, is rough on the feet to get tennis shoe stretched out to the shape of your foot. But I love the color, style and fit is fairly good.

These shoes are the closest to a NB 1080 that I have and love. I don't know why they did away with the 1080. This shoe rubs just a little below the right ankle - I hope they get better with time. If they came out with another 1080 I would buy all the colors. Do shoe makers ever listen to their customers?

The shoes seemed wide and the overall feel was kind of clunky. Not a fan of they styling

Too heavy

I like this shoe but it only lasts 90 days.

These fit true to size. I have knee issues and these provided ample arch support and cushioning - no knee pain. However, after just an hour wearing around the house my hips began to hurt and i do not have any hip issues. I tried again the next day and had the same problem. not sure what is going on with the alignment, but not worth it so had to go back.

These are wide and have a lot of cushion; they just didn't fit me quite right. Maybe they are not the right shoe - I may not be oversupinating.

This is my second pair, they fit nice especially with my own orthotic inserts.

i would like to exchange NB 940v4 for size 10

The shoe was to big in the toe box. I do wear a wide and this was just too big.

I have really bad feet with bunions and have had many surgeries to correct problem that didn't get corrected. Brooks has changed their shoes so much that I can find any that fit me anymore. So, I tried NB. I ordered size I wear in Brooks and they were way too wide. I ordered the 7.5 EE. It was too wide and too long. A 7 E would do perfect but put of stock. I did have issues with the back of the shoe being very low. Heel slipped. I didn't realized it when purchased them. Had to send back.

This shoe was a little too big and when I tried sizing down, the smaller size was too small.

The look & color of the shoe is great! But, the shoe was wider than expected especially in the toe box for a Narrow width. My heel slipped unless laced in the 2nd to last hole. The 2nd to last hole was too far from the 3rd hole which made it uncomfortable and dug into my ankle.

I ordered two pair the Black and the Blue, it’s strange because the black felt true to size but the Blue while marked 81/2 m fit like a size 9 it was huge and loose in the heel. I thought maybe they sent me the wrong size but more then likely it was miss marked because it said 81/2 on the inside of the shoe..I returned the Blue pair and kept the Black.
