The fit is good. It’s a wide wide that fits my 4 EEEE foot. Love the mesh upper, rubber reinforced heels. Outsole is sturdy, yet offers nice cushion. Arch support is perfect for my high arch. The 940 model is perfect for my foot.

From the first day, these felt like my older worn-in shoes. Very nice! I have large, extra-wide feet and was very pleased that these fit exactly as I needed them to. I was going to just wear them around the house a while but they were so comfortable that I ended up wearing them out and was surprised when I got home and saw I had the new shoes on.

I feel these were not size correctly. Purchased similar model size 10 and they fit perfect, these must be at least a 10 1/2 they do not fit.

The shoes fit perfectly and as expected based on previous New Balance I have owned. I put them on as soon as I received them and wore them for 12 plus hours straight. I had worn New Balance for years but the last two pair I had bought were a different brand. I regretted not buying these instead. I have problems with both feet and a really bad right ankle. I require a shoe with excellent support and these shoes do that for me. I will never buy anything else but New Balance again. Don’t be fooled by others claims only New Balance gives you the wide toe box with the narrower heal bed and arch support.

These are light, and very roomy, allowing for custom orthotic and thin additional footbed cushion. Been wearing these for a while and very satisfied.

Plastic piece starting protruding into my toe on first use. Not comfortable and had to return them.

Love the NB products because I can get the width I need. I have very wide feet and high arches. Also at 70+ YO my feet are less durable than they once were and finding comfortable shoes is a challenge. These are a good fit and meet my "dress code" as well.

ive ordered new balance before for the past 10 years always a size 11 . these didnt fit right

A very stable shoe with pretty wide toe box. My feet do not feel cramped. Good cushioning.

The shoes fit very well for wide feet. The soft mesh on top made it easy for my bunion to be comfortable.

The only positive reviews I've seen for this shoe are from people who have issues with their feet (orthopedics and such). So, as a person with 'normal' feet, I thought I'd chime in - this is a great shoe, fits well and seems good quality. I have worn nothing but Nikes my entire adult life, but with the recent marketing and sponsorship decisions they've made, they have lost a life long customer in me. After some research, I decided to try this shoe and it's great. I used to wear size 11.5 Nikes, so I ordered these in size 11.5 Wide and they fit great. A touch bit wider than the Nikes, but I like it as the Nikes would squeeze my toes until broken in. Great shoes overall.

Everything was just perfect

Bought these for my son to wear to school--and the tops completely ripped within 30 days! These weren't even his sports shoes--just his everyday shoes. Completely unacceptable for this price--ripping open like this shouldn't happen within a year, let alone a month. We've had several NB running shoes in the past that haven't done this.

I loved the version 3 of the 940s, and also had prior versions that were fine. I don’t have a whole lot of options in a size 17 with enough support and room for orthotics. The problem with these v4 is that the material around the toe box is hard and quickly became dented and rubbed very uncomfortably again my feet. The prior model has a soft material around the toe box that doesn’t become misshapen.

I have not worn "shoes" since 2017 due to numerous spine surgeries and becoming disabled. My right lower leg and foot are paralyzed, my toes curled under my foot and walking was only inside with the help of a walker. My Podiatrist recommended these New Balance shoes among others, I wear a 4E now with a wide toe box. I just had a triple Tenotomy, the tendons in 3 toes were cut to allow them to straighten out. The New Balance 940v4 shoes fit perfectly even with my toes in splints. I am learning to walk again and I am doing it in comfortable and very light shoes. As I become stronger and can walk more I have a "go to" shoe that I know will fit and be comfortable. I've come a long way from wearing pull-on water shoes since 2017, I never gave up hope on walking again. I've dealt with Zappos since 2004, I am thrilled to be dealing with them again!!!

Look good and fit well

The shoe was wider than normal wide, but that was not a problem. The problem is a manufacturing defect on the toe area of the left shoe…its dented in and always rubs the big toe. I hope they will exchange them.

This is a great shoe with good support. And we love the color. I bought them for my son who normally always wears a size 12. Size 12 in this shoe was too large, so we exchanged for size 11.5 which were still a bit big. I think we could have gone down another half size for the best fit. But my son was impatient and loved the shoes so much he was out running and walking in them before I was aware.

A more narrow sneaker, I have to order the Wide, and I am usually a Medium. The outer sole is a bit marshmallow-looking. It's basically a stylish sneaker on an orthopedic sole. If you are looking for some cool kicks, these aren't them.
