I was buying the Men's Kaha GTX as a replacement for my 2 year old Hoka Stinson Mid GTX hiking boots. Because of some foot problems, I require a very cushioned sole, as well as a very stiff sole, especially in the forefoot - the Stinson provided both. The size was perfect with the Kahas, but I could feel right away that the sole was not as cushioned as my Stinsons. Also, I found the sole to be less stiff than I needed - my 2 year old Stinsons are still more stiff than these brand new Kahas. I love Hoka, and I hope I can find a model that is comparable to my Stinsons. However, Hoka appears to have discontinued that model (always happens when I find a product that is exactly what I'm looking for - it gets replaced with "new and improved"). I'm giving these a 3-star rating, because I'm sure these are great hikers for most people = just not for me.

They feel true to size, and look good. They are quite heavy. My last hikers were Merrell all leather, and they were a lot lighter. I haven't hiked in these yet, but I might be looking for lighter boots to hike in.

So far these are the best boots I've ever put on my feet. We will see how they hold up to 16-18 hours a day. But my foot pain is gone. The boots fit true to size are light abs give excellent grip and stability. Worth every penny

Day to day wear, mostly seated. Found them difficult to get on and the lacing system is a problem. One of the pull loops on the back already broke. Not as comfortable as the Stinson half Gore Tex but the color options are better. (Stinson tread came off after a few months).

This boot is comfortable and gives great support. However the sole is coming apart after four days of wearing them.

I have made two small backpacking trips, wore these shoes both times, I am still working on how to get them laced to prevent foot movement. They are very comfortable, seem a little hot but not bad. I was carrying a 35 lb pack each trip, shoes held up great and seemed to have very good traction.

Love the boots. Came super quick. Comfortable as all get out. Only problem is the toe cap started peeling from the shoe within the first week of daily wear. Because of this, and this only, i'll be using their 30 day guarantee to exchange a pair and hope for the best.

I have two other Hoka shoes, Bondi 7 and the Toa. The Toa is great but is more like a sneaker so I thought I would try the Kaha. Because the womens' hikers are not wide enough, the salesperson recommended I try mens. The Bondi fit, so I thought the Kaha would as well. It fit, but I had blisters on the inside of my heels and my toes after my first 5 mile hike. I am very disappointed and will stick to my traditional hiking shoes.

These shoes are pretty sloppy in my opinion. They are wider than normal shoes/workboots and they have to be over-tightened on my feet, which makes my feet hurt. I usually wear a 10.5 D with almost every other brand.

These might be the most comfortable boot I've ever worked in but; they need a full vibrum sole! I'm a land surveyor in Arizona, I've only had my boot for about a month and I'm afraid the soft foam portion of the soles just aren't going to hold up. Had I known how the soles were constructed I would not have bought them. I am currently keeping my boots outside because after picking Choya Cactus out of the until my hand was cramping there is still an insane amount of thorns in them which I do not want in my house. I'm afraid the Ridiculous amount of Choya remaining in the soles will eventually destroy them. I would love to buy these boots again but I just can't logically do so if they do not redesign the soles.

The vibram and gortex is major plus. The cushion level alone makes this shoe incredible for intense long hikes(no break in period). The only complaint I have is the tongue length could be a 1/2 inch longer and the laces would never want to ride up over the top of the shoe.

I am a UPS driver in Illinois and I've had these a little over 3 weeks walking in the snow and ice. They have kept my feet which is great since I walk through a lot of snow but they are starting to come apart around the toe which is a little disappointing. They are comfortable and fit great.

Been using these boots this winter, about a month now. They are comfortable, lightweight and really cool colors. But, they are NOT WARM AND they are NOT VERY CUSHIONED, AS ADVERTISED. They feel like a rock walking in them, no cush for the feet.

I wish I had returned these. They are too roomy. The soles are an inch wider than my other hiking boots, which causes problems when hiking, because my feet end up seesawing from side to side on uneven terrain. I wrongly assumed that these would be really cushiony like the Hokas I've owned, but they are not.

I wear daily , for work, on 14 hr, pkg delivery route. Piping on upper cuff is rubbing blisters on achilles tendon. Have worn M-Tor hi for years, with no problem. However it appears you have discontinued them, as they no longer appear on site.

Love hiking in this boot, but I would say that gore Tex lining doesn't work that well. Water has seeped through the fabric a few times.

This boot looks good and comes in all black. It has a stiff sole and accepts my custom orthotics . If it had moderate stability and plush cushioning it would have the perfect combination . It is not as comfortable as the tor ultra high 2. Please ! Please ! Please ! Bring back the tor ultra hi 2 in all black they are good enough for Kanye !

I have two pairs This pair and another pair of the different boots. This pair I bought relying on the plush cushion rating and they fall very short on that, I have pain behind my toes and the others I have are truly plush, only problem is that I have to wear BLACK boots for work and the plush pair are grey.
