I use these shoes for my everyday fitness walking. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever had! I will use Hoka shoes until they stop making them. Hopefully that won't ever happen.

Love the shoe. I wear them at work because I have plantar fasciitis and they help so much. What I don't like is that they don't hold their dye long. The shows aren't black because the suede is fading. That is all.

Keep trying various makes and models of trail runners but I walk off the outside of all but the widest New Balance.

Love the shoe, comfortable, with no hot spots. Long-lasting and rugged, it is not. If you are a serious hiker, these may not be for you.
I put in 40-50 miles a week, I don't this that's excessive. The shoe does not hold up, primarly the back sole detaches from the shoe and the front upper lip of the shoe peels away.
If you're a casual hiker, go for it, if you want a rugged long-lasting shoe I would look at another brand or a different Hoka.

Very happy with shoes. Actually felt a little small, especially in the width (prior to running). Used shoe stretching tool and they are only a little tight in the width.
The shoes are wearing okay and have maintained their cushioning fairly well (over a few months now).

Easy purchasing from this site. Quick shipping. Don't like the plastic for the laces, because it makes it hard to adjust them. Otherwise, they're really nice shoes.

I like the fit and feel of these shoes. The shoe has a good bit of volume to accommodate thicker socks. I would prefer some more cushion which os why I took off one star.

After falling in love with two pairs of Hokas (I mean, seriously, between plantar fasciitis, sciatica in my right leg, and weird hyperextension in my left knee from wearing runners with too much of a heel-to-toe rise differential, life has much more pleasant), I was geeked to learn of Goretex/waterproof Hokas and hoped for the same comfort and benefits. The Challenger Lows are definitely a bit more stiff, including the way the underfoot feels, and I've found the traction on wet pavement, especially blacktop, to be a bit less 'sticky' than I'd prefer (even a bit slick more often than not). Overall these are well-made shoes, but I'm missing the out-of-the-box comfort, extra soft cushion, and overall dreamy wearability of my other pairs. Also, enhanced grip on the tread for multiple types of surfaces would be a very noticeable improvement.

My favorite shoe to work out in is the Hoya Clifton 8's and I was looking for a shoe that would perform like the Clifton's and handle the weather in the Pacific Northwest. They come pretty close.

Would have give this a "5" but haven't had a chance to get it into wet weather conditions yet; ordered the 46 wide and fits perfectly. Did replace the laces with the elastic "sinch style" Lok Laces (as I do with all sports shoes) and they work great. Love the ability to adjust tension on the upper ankle area. Looking forward to getting these wet!

This is the first time I purchased Hokas or any expensive walking/hiking shoe. They did better than my Sketcher walking shoes but still got blisters and sore feet. I even replaced the insole for more cushion. As I'm not an experienced hiker, I'm not sure what I should expect from a shoe in this price range.

Needed to mold to my feet. At first they were a little uncomfortable, but they feel better after two weeks.

Unfortunately I had to return the product due to it not being wide enough. I was so looking forward to rocking these to my new job. For a Gore Tex boot these were very stylish and durable. I will try a different Hoka boot at a later date when needed.

When I reviewed the Challenger Mid, I noted that it's not really suited for hiking due to absence of a strong bumper in the front. I bought toe protectors to fix that, but they're ugly for sure. I bought a challenger low so that I could use them for city walking and light hiking on established trails without rocks. For this purpose, the challenger is super and I can get away with wearing them with blue jeans when traveling. Wish that Hoka would upgrade the Kaha for wides and reinforce the toe box on the challenger mid.

The initial fit was ok but after a few days of use, the pads in the shoe were totally inadequate, it almost felt I was walking on little pebbles. I had to buy inserts to replace the existing ones. With the new pads in the shoes are feeling good

Shoes are never a joy for me to buy. These are reasonably comfortable and well fitting. I still rely on my ortho inserts to enhance the comfort.

Bought these at my foot doctors recommendation due to my very high arches causing pain in the front of my feet. They definitely did the trick, my only complaint is the lacing system is hard to use, very tight
