After trying five different " wide" waterproof hikers, I tried the Challenger low. Great fit, great all-day comfort.

Very comfortable as all my other (three pairs) Hoka shoes

These shoes are very comfortable and durable. I've been hiking in them daily for a week without any foot issues. I'm impressed with the traction they provide while hiking in the wet leaves and mud. I have a wide foot and purchased the wide size. They fit perfectly. I highly recommend these shoes.

Try for at least 2 weeks. I felt something unfamiliar when I tried it on at the first time but as I wear day over day, it has truly becomes comfortable. You might be uncomfortable at first but I strongly recommend you to try several more times and you would love it soon.

These are great shoes. Gore-tex works great. Very comfortable for all day standing or walking.

The boots were not wide enough even ordered the wide

Very good fitting hiking shoes

I have hiked dozens of miles of backcountry trails during the past month in the Rocky Mountains. These shoes are lightweight but very durable, fit well and are comfortable right out of the box. I am normally prone to heel and toe blisters from my hiking shoes/boots, but even after a 10 mile hike over rocky trails, my feet remain comfortable with no blisters. If you like hiking in low cut shoes, these would be a good choice.

I have a bad back and feet. These shoes enable me to walk comfortably. I'm very glad they come in wide and wish Hoka would make their boots in wide.

Best shoe ive ever worn. I wald approx. 10 miles everyday. Im on my feet in a retail environment all day and needed the waterproof capabilities of the gortex outer. These shoes are a homerun.

Hikng

I've been wearing these daily for about 3 weeks. They are super comfortable and supportive. I first ordered regular width but they were too tight. Replaced with the wide width and they are perfect.

I'm walk allot during the day. Mostly asphalt and concrete floors. My heels don't hurt anymore and I no longer have an issue with pain. This is a awesome shoe.

So, my wife bought the mid top for me. I loved them so much, I had to purchase the Low tops.

I am crazily persnickety about my foot gear, so when I find something I like I try to stay with a manufacturer/style/model as much as I can. I came to Hoka a few years ago and have worn their shoes almost daily since. This Challenger is a new model for me and I'm very happy with them on short acquaintance. I've worn them almost exclusively since I got them a few weeks ago and like them a great deal. Hoping these last as long as every other model of Hoka shoes have to this point and look forward to purchasing the next pair many months down the line.

I am a frontline first responder, these shoes are extremely comfortable. I'm on my feet all day and when I get home my feet, knees, and back all don't hurt!!

I find the shoe excellent especially for cold and wet weather, as it keeps my feet warm (provided I wear socks for cold weather) and dry. I do find the gaviatta better for my lower back arthritic condition, which I have. I do wish the gaviatta were made of vortex as well, personally.
