I have had these shoes now for about a month. Generally, I like them very much. I would give the fit, comfort an A+. The soles are flexible and well cushioned. My feet stay nice and dry when I step in puddles. The rocker soles are why I bought these boots as that is the best type of boot for my chronic plantar fasciitis. I was hoping that my plantar fasciitis would get better after a month of wearing them, but to this point it hasn't improved. I will be satisfied if the boots just don't make it worse. I would give the boots a D- for the terrible eyelets used for the top 2 pairs of eyelets. If you are not careful when you pull the laces tight, or when you are loosening the laces, you can easily disconnect the lace from the eyelet. Why they didn't use a simple D-ring eyelet here as you find on most boots is beyond me. I spend 3 times as long carefully lacing or loosening the laces on these boots and often have to re-thread the lace back into the eyelet which is very difficult to do. Not sure I would buy these boots again with these kinds of eyelets. If they changed to regular D-ring eyelets, I would definitely buy them again.

This is my husbands 4th pair of these. He works on concrete floors and has back pain. I finally talked him into trying them. He loves them. First boots that absorb the impact and reduce his back pain. As long as they continue to make them, he will be wearing them.

This boot is unrivaled in comfort and stability. I climbed all over Yosemite in these things and they were great! But - noticeable tears in the foam and back pull loop fell off. Would buy again, but - not the most durable. GoreTex is amazing on these - waterproof, keeps feet warm.

This one is actually black. Ones from past purchases always grey with black accents. The finish is suede. Not crazy about that.

I keep getting emails from Hoka asking for feedback and it's annoying. My Hokas are comfortable but still new. I cannot recommend them yet as I have not owned them long enough to know if they are durable or if they will be comfortable long term.

Very comfortable out of the box with no break in needed. Gave it four out of five for two reasons: I don't particularly like the 'speed' lace system. It's more like a slow lace system. I developed a hot spot and subsequent blister from the edge of the insole on the inside of my heel.

I've only worn them twice while cutting lawns, but they are very comfortable and seem to keep the moisture of the wet grass off my feet. The light weight I think will keep my legs and feet from getting fatigued so quickly. The boot lace hooks at the top are a little difficult to get the lace in and out of.

I bought this boot due to plantar fasciitis in my right foot and I needed a boot for trail walks. The boot is well cushioned at the heel and has great support. However the upper speed lace eyelets are plastic and their small, constrictive size makes lacing up unduly difficult.

Very comfortable for non-technical hikes (no vibram); also very hot because they have Goretex. Only a winter shoe for me. Really the big downside is an awful lacing system. Every time I put them on I struggle to lace up the uppers. It is almost impossible to get the lace through the top two eyelets. An awful design!

The good news: the late meta rocker and full cushion will spring you along, and will save your feet and ankles and all your other joints.
The bad news: the toe box is oddly low ceilinged, something which I noticed immediately, but didn't think would be significant, until I developed black first toenails on mile 30 of a 50 mile back pack trip. I have never had a black toenail before, so it surprised me, and the consequences last a long time. The width and length were generous, so I don't think they were too short.
The "it depends" news: I wish Hoka would make a not-waterproof high top hiker, because these boots are hotter than fire in temps over 80 degrees. I suppose the Gore-Tex is nice in cold wet weather but that is not when I go backpacking.

this is my ninth pair of hokas ... really the only brand of shoe that i have been wearing for the past four years now ... however i am very disappointed in this particular shoe ... note i was more excited about these particular hokas arriving than any other shoe to date mostly because they were grey and not pink or green or blue or orange lol ... anyway the tongue is too short ... so short in fact that the laces once tied rise above the tongue and set on the front of my ankle ... sad ... very sad.

I was satisfied with my purchase, but wished that the shoe had also more cushion for my long walks, such as the Bondi have.

Have metatarsalgia in one foot and this shoe has been the most comfortable so far. But the color representation on the website is misleading, as it shows as a brown tone but it's strictly gray. Nice and roomy toe box. I've also tried the Bondi 6, but it bothers my bad foot some, depending on how long I've been on my feet and the time of day. I'm going to try the Stinson ATR 6 and see if it feels as good as the Mid Gortex version. Hope so.

By far the most comfortable boot I've ever owned. I own two sets of hunting boots, one for late season cold weather and one for the other three seasons. The first day I wore these boots, we worked all day in pouring rain and stomping through red Georgia clay. When clay gets wet and you sink your foot into a hole that goes up to your ankle, boots will actually separate from the sole just from the suction of pulling your foot out. These boots performed flawlessly for 8 hours that day with no separation, no leaks, and no blisters or raw are as that usually accompany breaking in a pair of new boots. I'm excited about hunting in these this year. I'll try and update after the season to let everyone know how they held up. That's the only reason I didn't give a five star review. Just waiting to see how durable they are.

This is light, comfortable day-hiker with LOTS of cushioning. There's just a couple of tweaks I would like to see: 1. The tongue needs to come up a little higher. If you use the top eyelet on the boot, the laces almost go over the top of the tongue. 2. I would like to have just a touch more stability under the arch. Other than those 2 things this is a nice comfortable boot. It's not a boot made for backpacking, but going out on a day hike (as well as wearing around town), this has been a comfortable boot.
