Great traction but for wide width, they are very narrow, they also run 1/2 size small and are not even a little splash resistant. The cushion is great and the only reason they aren't 2 stars.

My toes feel trapped other that'll that great cushion super comfortable and light weight.....the grip is phenomenal. I wear a 13 1/2 and the 13s fit just right.

Fit was much smaller than I expected from a EE shoe. I have a a really high arch and wide foot. Was really hoping they would fit.

I wore these for my Georgia section of the AT and a few trails around that area, the shoes are very comfortable, I had no blisters at all using the shoe for 7 days and Over 90 miles of mountainous terrain, I guess I was pretty hard on the shoes because the toe box area wore fast and tread slightly pealed up at the front, besides that, my feet loved them.

I bought this shoe so I can have a cushioned run for longer distances. I love the looks and the cushioning. The traction is incredible. The problem is that they move around on my foot which in the long run causes pain in my arches. Perhaps I should have gotten a half size smaller? While l I probably won't be buying another pair, I would definately recommend for others. Awesome shoe, just doesn't fit my foot well and we're not all the same. I really wished they had worked out.

These shoes were very comfortable though I was not a fan of the color combination. After 3 months, the sole is starting to separate from the upper. Very disappointing!

I used the shoe for hiking in Sun Valley. The shoes were too narrow at the tips and it cut 4 toes right away. No room at the tips

not for me. Despite ordering a wide, after trying on regular within the store, these tend to bunch near the toebox, and cause a chronic pinching.

This is my 3rd pair of Hokas but first pair of Speedgoats. I need a wide shoe and my first two pair of Hoka road shoes fit perfectly. For some reason, the Speedgoat is more narrow than my last "wide" Hokas and pretty uncomfortable to wear. Too bad.I was really looking forward to using my Speedgoats on the many running trails here in the mountains of Washington State.

I have owned 8 pairs of Hoka shoes and if I based it on this shoe, I would not buy them any longer. This shoe is stiff, narrow and in fact causes pain in my feet. I am really surprised as I had the Speed Goat 3's and they were a great shoe.

Best hiking shoes I've ever owned as far as comfort, support and stabilization. The weight is good. I would prefer lighter, but they're made for ultra running, so the weight is actually quite impressive. Aesthetically they're a disaster, but they're Hokas.
I'd also recommend:

Best hiking shoes I've ever worn. Extremely comfortable with a lot of support and somehow very light.
They are ugly as sin but most hokas are ugly.

These were truly great shoes, the height took a little getting used to but it feels like you're walking on a cloud.

They look & feel great! I probably should have bought half a size up but they were sold out. I will wear them as long as I can each day, I like them that much! LoL

I love this brand. This is my go to from now on. I currently have 3 different pairs. I am around 250 pounds and these shoes make me feel like i am walking on air, my feet and back don't hurt at work anymore.

I used a pair of Spead Goat 4 with a 60lb vest to train for Philmont 80 mile hike. Bought a second pair just for the hike. Great shoes and highly recommend them. They held up well, very comfortable and lighter than boots. I did wear Solomon waterproof boots on trails that were extremely wet and rocky.

I use these shoes anytime I must be on shoes a lot of hours. I have bought 2 pairs exactly alike so that one pair stays nice and I am not shy about wearing the older pair when doing dirty projects

This sneaker fit me well, especially due to my wide feet. It has a nice tapered front portion which helps hold my feet in place better. Really liked the wider lacing system. Allows to fit feet better. Also has a unique tongue that is thinner than normal. This allowed a better fit as well but was still comfortable.
I use these sneakers on sloped dirt trails that include rocks of many sizes and tree roots. Very Stable!
