This is my first pair of Hoka's and so far I'm obsessed. These may be the best shoes I've ever bought. It's a challenge for me to find shoes for my wide feet due to bunions and high arches. These so far have protected my feet from cold, rain, light snow (while I wait for the true Chicago tundra to hit). I walk my lease reactive dog wearing them and feel stable. I run on sidewalks, roads and in a field on my runs and enjoy them. I'm a slower jogger, so I'm not sure how speedier runners would feel about the weight or high tops. They overall give me support. I have plenty of space in the toe box for the wide versions and went with my normal size in wide of 8.5. I'm not really a hiker but would like to have them when I visit other states and have the opportunity. I'm still adjusting to the lace locks and find them a challenge to stay on occasion when lacing up. I account this to user error. I'm excited for spring to buy a regular pair of running shoes to try out as well.

Whether you are walking or hiking, this boot is comfortable.

I use these for walking around the city and hiking on trails. They're nice and lightweight and not too bulky. My feet are narrow and low volume so I add a very thin flat insole to lift my foot a little higher.

Most comfortable hiking boots I've ever owned. I've been hiking for 30 years and these are the first pair that don't make my toes go numb. I've climbed hills and rocks though rain and mud and have stayed dry, cushy and warm.

My feet were good walking in the cold weather and shoveling snow.

So far I have been happy with the boots. I was shoveling snow and my feet were comfortable.

I followed the recommended sizing and read the reviews. I am so glad I got them!!! They are the most comfortable, stable pair of shoes I've ever had! I have no pain, no joint pain, and no instability as I walk! The soles grip well, my feet never hurt, and I am warm when I have to wait in the car for awhile without the heater running! I am so glad I bought these! You really do get what you pay for! Hoka One One has been such a blessing and I love my boots, and my other shoes. I never knew there could be an attractive, athletic shoe and sole design that feels so good. I put my inserts in and it was just heaven. I highly recommend these!

Once my foot fit inside this shoe I knew it was going to fit my hiking needs! So comfortable, hugs those rough rocky slops, and fits like a glove. I normally wear a 9 and it fit perfect. I have 2 other Hoka shoes for just walking around and they fit perfectly. Worth the price!!!

I am back to walking and getting my steps in, no more hurting!! And I have the tennis shoes too I will only wear Hoka from now on

I love my Challenger Mid Gore-tex hiking boots. Very comfortable and light as a feather. The only negative concerns the top two shoestrings loops. They are way too thin to easily loop in the strings. A bit frustrating in fact. But once in, all is fantastic.

I love the Challenger athletic shoe, and on to my 5th pair so I thought I would try the day hikers. They are perfect soooo comfortable. The only thing that could be improved on are the hooks at the top of the boot for lacing. They take a little getting used to as the lace easily slips off before you get the boot tied. However, once you get the hang of it, it isn't a big deal. Definitely would buy again.

Love em! Very comfortable and I can walk in them all day long and feet don't hurt.

Great pair of hiking boots

I first ordered a size 8 as I thought it would be better to have a half size larger to allow for thick hiking sock. I tried this and decided to order my normal size (7.5). That actually worked the best. I have done a few hikes since, including a 4 mile one this past weekend and these are perfect! I highly recommend these!

I tried many boots before finding a pair that worked with my new custom insoles. These are perfect, can't recommend them enough.

Hoka quality as expected which I Iove in my running shoes. Hiking shoe feels a little wide in the toe box while I would prefer a tighter fit on challenging hiking trails.

I knew these would give me the tread I need for winter walks and the warmth of solid leather uppers. Although the pair they first shipped was the wrong size, the exchange was easy and quick. I put them on as soon as they arrived and found them to be completely comfortable.

I walk/hike between 15-20 miles a week, especially these days, and having a shoe that handles, changing conditions is key. These are warm, comfortable, and the fit is great. Highly recommend.

This is by far the most comfortable hiking shoe/boot I've ever owned.

No break in period needed. My 1st hike in them was a moderately difficult 10 mile hike with a variety of terrain. My feet were well supported and cushy! At the end of the hike my friend scrambled to change out of her boots cause they were heavy and uncomfortable. I danced in circles in the parking lot and did not change my boots. They were so springy and light. Love them. Worth every penny. And I love the color!
