I have a previous model of Arahi in size 9 and this new version in size 9 fit great. Hoka have very generous toe box, which I like, so if you are new to hoka they may feel a little big initially. (I recently tried the Hoka Clifton which I have in size 9.....got the same thing size 9 but the new one felt so much bigger that I couldn't wear it, and the 8 was too tight). For a walk around shoe this has been great and very comfortable. Still not 100% for running....have done a few runs and the bottom does feel a little stiff despite all the cushioning. But overall good. (for the record, I am extremely picky about running shoes).

The arahis are fantastic but please please make them more true to size. I'm a size 5 in running shoes but the size 5 arahis are at least a half size bigger and I feel as though I've tried on size 6 shoes that are comparable in size to the size 5 arahi. If I wanted a longer shoe, I'd simply buy a larger size. Unfortunately, I can't size down because the size 5 is the smallest offering. Will be holding on to these although I currently dislike the excess of extra room in front of my toes.

I love these shoes, they make my runs so much smoother, they are comfortable and I feel like they have changed mi life!!! I only wish they had more colors available, I don't really wear pastels much.

Getting back to running after many years, had shin splints and these are a DREAM. Supportive without being too clunky. Sizing runs a little big though.

The Hoka Arahi 4 fitted fine. However, I did not find it a great shoe for walking. I would not recommend this style shoe for a person who enjoys walking. Hoka Hoka One shoes that I have purchased since this style have been more comfortable to me. I have really enjoyed the Clifton 7 & 8s.

These shoes fit very well and are extremely comfortable to walk in. I highly recommend Hoka One One in general for issues like plantar fasciitis. However, these shoes squeak sooooo badly! It's like I'm walking on squeaky toys. It's so distracting, especially because I like to go for walks in quiet areas. Which just allow my squeaky shoes to speak up. I have owned 3 pairs of Hokas; the first pair had one shoe that was squeaky. The second pair were silent. And these are very very squeaky :(

I’ve only owned these shoes since October 2020 and the fabric on the inside of the heel has worn down to the point where there is plastic or something stabbing me in the back of the heel. I only wear the shoes an hour a day or so when I workout 3-5x a week. This is really disappointing. The previous Hokas I had had similar issue but not as bad and I owned those almost two years. The shoes were great when brand new but the quality is not great. When buying shoes this ugly it is for comfort and quality and these just didn’t hit the mark for me. Wish I could get a refund.

I have never had a shoe that comes up so far up the back of my heel. It gave me blisters just walking, let alone running. I have not been able to use them for running. I need to heal for days as I try to break them/me in.

I'm Struggling to adjust to this shoe brand
They are way too big for me and I followed the suggestion as comparing to the brand I'm

Wish the shoe would have worked but the wide was a little too narrow.

This is the third pair of Arahi's I purchased, but the other 2 were Arahi 3s. This pair is at least 1/2" longer! I ordered another pair 1/2 size down to see if they fit.

They are as advertised, but I was disappointed with aspects of the quality. These were my first pair of HOKA's and I've heard great things about the brand, but when they arrived in the mail I was confused because they backs, where your heal rubs, seemed really thin and lacking quality. I've never had running shoes seem that cheap and was concerned they wouldn't hold up. I've had the shoe for less than a year and am a casual jogger, maybe running a couple miles 4 times a week, and a few months into using them the heal area was developing holes and the cardboard material protruding. The shoes are now only wearable with socks that have a lip in the back, otherwise the cardboard cuts into my skin. Never have had this happen with running shoes before.

I was hoping to love theses shoes but they were not cushiony or comfortable enough. I returned them after one run.

These shoes are very well made, very comfortable footbed. Unfortunately, they were too wide for my heel and a little too flat for my arch. Wish they had worked!

I bought a different type of Hoka and this one has rubbed a blister on the inside upper right side where my ankle and heal meet, I'm not sure if it is the style or just this particular shoe. I've certainly never had a shoe rubber blister in this location before. I'm hoping it goes away in time. It seems to be where the inside soul is raised up to the sidewall of the shoe.

I don't have wide feet, but had to buy these in wide, and 1/2 size smaller. Loved them for comfort, color...but..got them in May, and at the end of the summer they were falling apart at the back, inside...that's not a good quality shoe for this price. I love Hoka brand, I own several pairs, and will keep buying Hoka shoes, but not this model...

These are definitely more narrow than other Hoka shoes. The problem is, I didn't notice it until I wore them all day. I think they aren't as cushy as they've been in the past. Not the perfect shoe, but I can where them for a couple hours.

I ordered two pairs of the Arahi 4, a size 8.5 and a size 9, both wide. I have pretty wide feet, so it's difficult to find shoes that fit. I intended to return whichever size didn't fit as well. For starters, I receive a box with one pair (the size 8.5). The size is perfect, but they're still too narrow in the midsole. I felt foot pain after wearing them around the house for a few minutes. I was disappointed, and I knew the size 9 wouldn't be wider, so I looked up my order to see when it would come so I could plan on when I could return both pairs and likely purchase a Bondi pair. Come to find out, both pairs are shown as having been "delivered". The box I received was not big enough to hold two shoe boxes, so I would assume the package would have been split, but there was no additional tracking number for a second package. I spent two days trying to get into contact with Hoka. I held on the support line, for a half an hour and another time for 20 minutes. I sent an email, only to receive an automated response that customer service was only available through chat at that time. When I tried to "Chat" it would either a) bounce me to the FAQ page, or b) show a message that "I was reaching them outside of their service hours/therefore they were unavailable"which, of course, was not true. I also used the "text" option, to which I received another automated response saying that I needed to wait "24 hours". After 24 hours had passed, I still hadn't received a response. I sent another text message, and finally received a response. The person I texted with was friendly and helpful, helping me to figure out how to get refunded for the pair I did not receive, and set me up with a return for the pair I had. But, when I went to download the return label, there was an error and it would not appear. Yet again, I've had to contact customer service. I haven't heard back yet, and I still plan to try the Bondi style, but this has all felt almost more trouble than it's worth.

I like the shoe a lot but my foot slides around to much. I was hoping to find a new shoe I could use for teaching my cardio classes and this one will not be it. The arch support and cushioning seem right, however I tightened the laces so much the tongue was actually folded a little and my foot still slides side to side. I almost wonder if they might be mis labeled. I do not have a narrow foot at all and typically wear Brooks because I do like a wider toe box.

I do very much wanted to love these. They hurt the top of my feet. I have arthritis in my feet so it’s tough for me to find shoes that work. Very stylish but grabbed the big toe on width.
I'd also recommend:

I developed sudden severe knee pain after switching to this shoe. Happened to me several years ago too when trying out a Hoka. I have only run in it twice but now I am in a knee brace after developing that pain mid run . I am not sure if it is the shoes fault per se but .... They are comfortable as new shoes go.
