I rarely write reviews but feel compelled in large part to dispute/disagree with previous reviews that suggest the sizing is off. Does the Arahi 4 run big? Compared to your normal street shoe, maybe slightly. Compared to other running shoe brands, yes. Compared to previous Arahi versions, no. Did you get all that? The sizing is unchanged from previous models. I wear an 8 in everyday shoes, a 9 or 9.5 in Asics, Brooks, New Balance, and an 8.5 in Hoka. Sizing tirade behind us, the comfort and cushioning is phenomenal. I have wide feet and a Morton's neuroma in my left foot and these shoes are like gold. The combination of toe box width, forefoot cushioning, and low drop work perfectly for me. Hoka folks, if you are reading, don't change a thing. These are stability shoe perfection and I love the new colors. Thank you!

Wow, these shoes exceeded my expectations. I've been a Brooks wearer since 2011, but these Hoka are amazing. I put my first 4 miles on today, and it was my best run in months. My feet, knees, and hips did not feel fatigued during the run and I didn't feel like I was pounding pavement. Very cushiony! I've had bunion surgery which increased sensitivity in my forefoot, so I'm particularly impressed by the cushion in that area.

On the recommendation of my podiatrist I went to a running shoe store. My diagnosis was arthritis / hallux rigidus. I cannot move my great toe.. It had become impossible for me to find any type of shoe on my own, that was comfortable. I could not imagine a running shoe store could help me. I was wrong! I told them my podiatrist recommended a stiff sole with a rocker bottom. In minutes I was fitted with this HOKA and I could walk pain free! A dramatic difference ! Very Grateful for the expertise of the fitter for this non-runner who just wanted to go for walks. I am checking this site for the new colors to arrive.

I worried that these would be too big because of other reviews but they fit just like my other Hokas. They are also more attractive- less blocky - than my others. They aren’t as cushy feeling as my previous Hokas but seem to prevent pain from plantar fasciitis and neuropathy as well or better. So far I am very pleased.

I ordered Arahi 4 for running not for walking. It felt like a good walking shoe, but definitely not a good running shoe at least for me. My size 8.5 medium width for running shoes, Arahi 4 felt a little bit bigger and wider.

These sneakers are everything I’ve been looking for in a running shoe for ten years. As a runner with cerebral palsy and a serial overpronator, I’ve been through my fair share of stability shoes. Most of them are heavy which does little for those of us on the slower side. I have a heavy foot fall and the overly-firm outsoles really jarred my knees and ankles on impact. I’ve been wearing neutral shoes because I just about gave up on the stability market. These guys, however, are light with a little bit of speed while still providing the cushion and support I need! So happy. I will likely also purchase the blue. Definitely go a half size down in terms of running shoes (I wear a 6 in brooks ghost 11s and GTS adrenaline) but 5.5s with the arahis are just right.

Bought these in a 7W, which is what I usually order in New Balance as I wear thorlo super thick socks when running. These run larger than New Balance. I'm not saying they don't run true to size as I believe they do. I wear a 6-6 1/2 regular shoe or sneaker. I've always done all my running on a treadmill at the gym, but now with Covid-19, all gyms are closed so I'm left to pound the pavement. My New Balance sneakers just were not cutting it outdoors; I'd have exhausted legs which is something I've never experienced on a treadmill. Read the reviews for this Hoka running shoe and decided to try it. I ran in them this morning up some REALLY steep hills (something I never do on a treadmill) and was amazed at how good my legs felt. These are quite roomy and are a bit orthopaedic-shoe looking, but you can't beat them for comfort. Super cushioned, great shock absorption, wish I had ordered a 6.5 but too late now as I wore them outdoors. This is a game changer for me. Cannot afford a treadmill and don't know when I'll feel comfortable enough to enter a gym once this pandemic is over, but in the meantime these shoes are a lifesaver. I'm in my mid-60s and am very conscious of my joints. These running shoes absorb more impact than anything I've ever worn.

I usually wear a 10.5 W in Merrill, Saucony or Asic. These were WAY big! I could probably go down to a 10B. I'm ordering that size now. These shoes are SO cush!! I hope I can find a size that fits .

These shoes are fabulous I am on my feet all day with work and I walk my dog twice a day and the concrete roads were killing my back. These have been a tremendous help my back no longer hurts and my walks with my dog or more enjoyable.

I have been battling plantar fasciitis and have one nasty wide right bunion foot. I also over pronate on the right foot. After much research, I bought these shoes - 8 1/2 wide- preparing for a run when I am ready to try again. I wore them to work, (in a hospital and on my feet a lot), just to try them out and now I wear them every day and don’t want to take them off. No kidding. I have a high arch and bony feet, I am putting my orthotics in but i’m doing that with all my shoes and none of them have been this comfortable. I also like the color which is a very light soft gray beige, have received several compliments not that that matters because they feel great. I plan to buy a second pair so that I can keep these for work and have another pair for getting dirty on runs. Highly recommend them if you need cushy comfy shoes.

This is my second pair of the Arahi style. Last one was a 3, this a 4. Very comfortable, break in time very short. Some minor changes to style, like on the 4’s the tongue is almost pointed, not rounded. Doesn’t affect anything, just different. Very happy with shoes.

This is my third pair of Arahi's. I walk every day, and have worn out my two previous pairs. I have never had a pair of shoes fit me as well as these do. I need a wide shoe because the front of my foot is wide, and I have a narrow heel so the padded heel works perfectly. They have the perfect stability and comfort that I need. I will definitely be buying my fourth pair when I wear these out!

I really like these shoes for running. I over pronate and these seem to stabilize my feet without me really noticing it. I have the bondi style shoe for work, and the bottoms on these are not nearly as thick, which is what I was looking for in a running shoe. Still comfy and supportive, and the blue color is really cute too.

I generally love Hokas and have had at least 6 pairs but these were a disappointment. They were just not a cushiony as Hokas are known to be. I usually wear a 9 in regular shoes and the 9 in these fit fine. I typically don’t go up in size or go up by only 1/2 size for running shoes and I have worn Hokas exclusively for running for the last 4 years or so. My feet are fairly narrow especially at the heel and I have a high arch. Just not good feeling shoes.

These feel as good as the Arahi 2 did, if not better! I have narrow feet, with a Morton's neuroma, and these are the best shoe I have ever found for both issues. I run daily, and need both cushion and stability. The only con is how UGLY this latest version of Arahi is! Did they rob their great grandmother's knitting stash to find these awful pastels or WHAT?? Arahi's used to be both comfortable and appealing to the eye.

These are so comfortable and I will probably not wear any of my other sneakers now. I have plantar fasciitis and this shoe greatly helped me with true cushioning in the heel. My only complaint is having HOKA in such large letters on the shoe.

I bought these shoes for my mom who needed more support and she loves them. They are super comfy and make it easier to walk on difficult terrain. She loves to go on walks but has felt restricted due to her back pain. With these shoes, she is able to walk longer because they provide a lot of stability.

I bought these as a gift for my cousin. She works on hard floors all day. My cousin says her first pair of Hokas have helped IMMENSELY!!! She wears them nonstop, and then slips into her Hoka Recovery Slides the minute she gets home! We knew they'd help! We've been wearing Hokas for YEARS... for our dogs walks, jogs and everything in-between!

More colors please?!? Muted/not too flashy would be nice. Could use 3 more of these...but the colors are horrendous. Got the black one. This version seems slimmer and more lightweight and fits really well. I love it.

Bought this shoe to help with my plantars fasciitis. It is so comfortable and gives great support. I went up half size to allow for heel inserts. They were perfect. My shoe size is an 8, I usually wear a 9 in Brooks & Asics but 8.5 was perfect in Hokas. I highly recommend.

The coveted cloud cushion that Hoka is famous for but most of their shoes don't actually have. I usually wear a 7.5W-8W and these 7.5W were the correct size, but my toes are big and wide, and my big toes rub against the sides of the shoe very uncomfortably. Back to Altras... hopefully they will hire some designers from Hoka for aesthetics (but not fit).

I walk three to five miles daily and the Hoka shoe has been great for my feet over the last two years. I had terrible instep pain when my sister recommended this shoe and the pain lessened immediately. I will be ordering the Arahi 4 because I love the shoe, but the colors are absolutely awful!

My first pair of Hokas were the Arahi 3s in size 7.5 and I loved them. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any 3s on sale when I needed a new pair, so I ordered the 4s in size 7.5. They are about a half-size bigger than the 3s, but are ok when I tighten the laces up. I recommend trying them on for size even if you have experience with Hokas before purchasing. Otherwise, I love the roomy toe box and cushion of this shoe!

I wanted to try Hokas to see what the hype is about. I have moderate arches, and the shoe rubbed on my right side. I ended up getting inserts to see if that would help. The rubbing stopped, but my right knee hurt pretty badly after only two short runs with the shoes (4 mi and 5k). I supinate and found out that these weren’t the right shoes for supinators. I wear a size 7 shoe, size 8 in Brooks Ravena and Ghost 12, and the 7.5 fit perfectly in the Hoka. Too bad they didn’t work because I felt like I wasn’t working as hard as in my Brooks. I’m going to try the Bondi to see if that works better. If not, I’ll stick to Brooks.
