The shoe is difficult to put on because the tongue is elastic. It doesn't allow you to just slip it on. I use a shoe horn but there is still a struggle. The shoe strings must be loosened and then they don't stay tied!Once it's on, it is comfortable but I would never buy it again!

Let me just first say, I love the HOKA Cliftons and have two pair of those. Wanted a lighter shoe just for kicking around town, so I thought these Cavus looked good. As has been said by other reviewers, however, the opening is super small so putting them on is a challenge. Once on, the soles felt so stiff to me, barely flexible, and too hard. These went back. Cute shoes visually, but not workable for me. I don't want to have to wrestle with my shoes just to get them on. LOL

I had to buy a shoe horn to get into this shoe. What a pain!

Loved the peach color and concept but had to return this shoe. Not good for my feet which are wide and I have high arches. The "tongue" with laces built into the shoe didn't work for me at all. Love my Bondi 7s.

I couldn't get these shoes on my feet. I have bought and worn this style (Cavu 1 and Cavu 2), but these shoes don't open wide enough for me to get my foot into the shoe. The other iterations I've worn were not sewn all the way up. They looked liked they had a tongue, but not so much with these shoes. Plus there is no good way - a loop, for example -to pull them on.

My big disappointment was the fabric at the toe wore through with a hole at the end. I keep my nails short! Just needed to be better quality fabric. I wore a black sock when it first started so you wouldn't notice - but it just got bigger so just quit wearing them. I'm a beach walker - not a runner.

On both sides on both shoes the stitching is coming apart :( happened on the first day I wore them. I'm honestly very upset. They are so comfy but they're falling apart. Made terrible

The sole of the shoe feels fabulous. However, there is no way to open the entrance to the shoe enough to get the shoe on without a shoe horn! The tongue is not a separate piece, so you can't open it wider.I wasn't able to keep them on longer than 5 minutes, because even once they were on, the opening pushed against my leg. Unless you've tried this on in person, I would NEVER recommend ordering them. Because I live in the middle of nowhere, I haven't tried to send them back.

This is a slip-on even though it has laces. It was very difficult for me to get my foot + sock into it, and I ended up tearing the opening. I wore it once then gave it to the thrift store.

Not recommended. You need a shoe spooner to put them on. Who designed them? I had to return them. The website doesn't show that this is a poor design. Didn't work for me anyway.

Shoes were comfortable to start. Now at 35 days from delivery the fabric is pulling apart from the sole on the side portion of the shoe. I have 4 pairs of shoes I rotate so they didn't receive that much wear and tear. For the price this shouldn't come apart after 30 days of occasional wear. The warranty process is a nightmare! This will be my last pair of Hoka's!

My orthopedist recommended this product for foot support; I would not buy this product again. It is not meant for 8 hour wear. It is a very uncomfortable & non- supportive shoe. It is too tightat the opening.

I love Hokas. They are one of the few running shoes that I can wear that accommodates my orthodics. My most recent purchase;however, is defective. The foam in the back of the right shoe is crushed making the shoe not fit right. I cannot run in them. I can't find a customer service number to talk with a human about this.

The tongue was sewed down on both sides so these were returned. I have a very high arch and there is no way to wear these without extreme discomfort.

I bought the cavu, thinking it was a lace up shoe. When I got it I realized it was a slip on. The problem was that the hole to put your foot in was too small and not expandable. I could not get my foot into the shoe. Hoka was very gracious it letting me return the shoes with a full refund. I don't recommend the Cavu style for anyone. I'm sure Hoka has very good shoes just not this style.

This shoe's design with the fixed laces made it extremely hard to get my foot inside the shoe. in fairness, it may have something to do with my high arches.

I was so excited after hearing great reviews. When I tried to put them on, I struggled so much to get my foot in the first shoe, I was worn out. I was never able to get the other shoes on due to the small openings. It was an easy return and my money was promptly refunded.

I'm a walker and want comfortable, light shoes with good arch support. These shoes are light, but are not comfortable to me at all. I don't feel like there is much support and the "sock" fitting around the top of my foot is tight, actually hurts my foot and tore at the edge the first day that I wore them! I gave them another try, but hurt just as much. I would not recommend or buy these shoes again. I guess I will go back to my Asics.
