As a walker prone to a lot of ankle sprains I was encouraged to buy the Elevon 1. It had A LOT of ankle stability (due to a support around the heel)and I was disheartened to see that the Elevon 2s were not as stable and did not have this support. After wearing them for several months I can say that the stability in the Elevon 2's doesn't compare to the original Elevons.

I like to alternate bicycling with walks of 6-7miles long. These shoes are highly cushioned, so even walking over stones or gravel is not uncomfortable. The big problem is that after about 30 minutes of walking my feet start to burn up. One hot summer day it got so bad I actually had to stop and remove my shoes for awhile to let my feet, which were bright red and hot, cool down. I considered returning them; however, living in Minnesota I decided that the warmth might be a plus when the weather turns cold. If you live in a warm climate, these may not be the shoes for you.

This shoe has great cushioning. I recommend HOKA brand shoes to everyone!! I previously owned the Elevon (1) and before that, the Vanquish. I like these better than the first Elevon but they still haven't made a shoe like the Vanquish. Taking a while to get used to Elevon 2's updated tongue, but it'll be OK. Context: I work in healthcare and am on my feet most of the day. I am heavy set athletic build with mild low back pain. The cushioning helps me float through the day unlike any other brand of shoe. I haven't run in these shoes but I can tell they would be amazing.

I find these shoes very comfortable and I've added a Mile to my daily run. The tongue is weird, I wish it was like the old elevon plushy tongue. It hasn't caused any issues but I have to be careful how I put the shoe on so no parts of the tongue tuck under. And after 2 weeks, the laces are starting to shred. The tongue and lacing system is so stiff. But aside from the lacing/tongue. These shoes are comfy with support. I had Clifton 6s before and they were so soft that I didn't feel any support. These are such a great balance. The back of the shoe does protrude a bit too much for me, as I round corners the shoe heel rubs my shin. I have a short stride and I wish the shoe wasn't so bulky in the heel. But overall I am very happy with this shoe. My arch started to blister in the Clifton 6, but its been great in the elevon 2.

Different from any shoe I have but very comfortable after I added my orthotic because the arch support left a lot to be desired. I recommend this shoe.

I just started running again and I had worn Cliftons in the past. After trying on several pairs and brands at a local running store, I decided on these this time. Overall - Great shoe. Very cushioned and much lighter than the Cliftons were. My only and biggest issue with these is similar to another reviewer - the tongue design works except it is made of thick unyielding fabric that causes abrasions on my ankles. I tried band-aids but the tongue would only push them away and still cause pain. I spent as much time running the other day as trying to find a way to prevent additional blisters and pain. Finally, use of bandage athletic tape, I was able to get through the remainder of my run. I suggest fixing this with the next version and for those that try them to way high socks or find a way to protect themselves from the tongue.

The shoes look great but have a design flaw. They have tongues that are far too long and stiff, as a consequence I get blisters in the front of my ankles unless I wear them with thick heavy socks. I even trimmed the tongues back to shorten them, but it is still a problem. This is never happened to me with a pair of Hokas or any other running shoe. It is really too bad, because otherwise I'd like the shoes.

Comfort isn't great. All shoes from Hoka are different. I have purchased many shoes from Hoka and it hasn't been a great experience. Some Hokas are bulky and some aren't. I wear a 9 and they look big on my feet. I'm 5"4 so a nine looks big on me but I will say I have big feet. I've owned some Hokas that have been so comfortable. I keep buying them hoping to get a great comfortable shoe every time but that's not always the case. I don't like having to return them just because it's to much of a hassle so I end up keeping them. I do recommend Hokas but it's about picking the right one. Like I said every Hoka fits different. Hoka needs a store where you can try on each make of Hoka but I know that's not possible. Ordering is a hassle unless your jobless and have all the time in the world to try on every make at home and be able to send back until you find the right fit. I know that's impossible for me. Good luck on finding the right shoe.

I always buy the same size in all your shoes but this one definitely feels bigger. It was not as cushioned as other styles labeled with the same cushioning status also.

I bought a pair in my normal size and couldn't even get them on. I returned them, and that process was very easy! I ordered a size 'wide' next and now I have numerous calluses after one shift :/

I wanted to love these but after a busy shift as a nurse my feet and legs hurt a little. My hips have hurt from the beginning but someone said they had the same problem and it got better after they got used to them. With my Brooks and Aasics I don't have this problem. Maybe I got the wrong ones for my feet.

I buy my shoes in pairs and will probably just buy two Bondi's next time. This was my first pair and I thought the tongue was not only weird, but I had problems getting it to stay in place and ofter times it rubbed my foot wrong.

I've been trying new Hoka's styles since the beginning of the year due to the suggestion of sales representatives. But I must say that this style of tennis shoes was the only one to develop blisters in both of my heels, I've been running since 2015 and never had a problem like this before. On another note the sole of this tennis style in less than a two weeks with interval use have started to wear off and feels narrow although it's true to my size

I bought these online and they feel too big to me. The front of my foot moves around a lot, but I have always worn a 9.5 in every other running shoe.

I recently started using hoka's after some foot pain but still wanted to stay active to complete my triathlon. Love the bondi 7, but could not get a good fit on this pair. I would have loved if this pair came in WIDE. Too small or too big, please make a wide version.

I wanted to replace my old Elevons and they came out with an updated Elevon 2 so I tried them. But they are so plush and squishy I don't care for them as much as the original pair.

I saw these shoes online and immediately loved the colors. I was so excited to receive them in the mail, but then became a little disappointed as soon as I put them on. Don't get me wrong, the main comfort and look is really nice. However, the shoe tongue has a rough edge that'll kind of cut into you. I had to go out and buy higher socks, otherwise I'd probably start to bleed or get blisters. I don't see the point in that type of tongue and I think they need to change it. If you want to buy these shoes, then I highly recommend having socks high enough to block the tongue from touching your skin.

I would not buy these shoes again. Based on the picture Advertised , I was under the impression the gym shoes were white when in fact they were beige. I was very disappointed
