I’ve worn ASICS for several years and love the previous version of the Nimbus. Have a pair of the 18 and 19 that I absolutely love. Tried on some 21s at an ASIC outlet store and could immediately tell they were not as spongy as previous models so I didn’t purchase them. Took a chance and ordered the 22. More cushioning than the 20 or 21 but not as much as the older versions. ASIC - listen to what your customers are telling you - bring back the cushioning! That’s why I switched to ASIC in the first place - to eliminate knee pain after running.

The shoes fit length wise was okay, but toe box was a tad tight. What I especially did not like with these Asics was it felt like there was absolutely NO padding in the front/toe box area of the shoe. I have two pairs of Gel-Numbus 17 and they both feel like bedroom slipppers, the Gel-Nimbus 22 do not.

I don't understand a shoe company being so inconsistent with sizing? I have worn Asics for about 10 years (I'm in mid 50's now so my size shouldn't have changed) and used to wear a 7- but at some point had to go to a 7.5 then later to an 8! The last pair was back to a 7.5 but this shoe, the Gel Nimbus 22 was too long in 7.5 so I exchanged for 7 and they seem perfect. I feel bad bc I don't want to have to return a pair of shoes I've worn but with a company changing the exact same model/version of shoe all of the time it really makes it impossible as a customer to get it right! I'm just grateful ZAPPOS is so awesome when it comes to returns and exchanges!!!!

First of all Zappos is the best! They indulged my exchanges/returns etc. Thank you! Unfortunately, I could not keep my Asics Gel Nimbus 22. Asics needs to improve more on the toe box it still needs more room & the fabric in that area is way too stiff! The instep area is low ! Comfort level is not the same. For over 18 years, I always purchased Asics Nimbus. When I would have them on I would be in heaven (a cloud nine experience) Now their comfort level is gone. And I did try....I ordered two sizes 9.5 W and 10 W. I felt like someone was stepping on my toes! And my orthodontics did not fit proper in them. They didn't line up. I did try to size up. The 10 W was too big in length. (My feet size (9.5 Wide) has not changed )Please Asics bring back our original Nimbus 17's. I use to recommend to everyone that Asics was the best...now I cant!! So upset...I want the original Asics back! Please!

In the ASICS Nimbus I typically wear an 8 however with the last three models had to go up 8 1/2 . This show feels cushioned like the ole Nimbus 18 . The toe box has plenty of room for toes etc . Fabric breathes well . I ran a 10 mile race with mine straight out of box . Very nice springy ride. I already bought next pair .

Very comfortable sneaker. I have plantar fasciitis so bought these after much research on best sneaker to wear with this condition. I walk 3 miles a day. After wearing these for a week I am definitely seeing an improvement. Only complaint is I am not a fan of loud colors or funky looking sneakers. Their color options are not so great for a plain look that I like. Best color option for me was the navy but still not a fan. Comfort trumps color so I am keeping these and am quite happy. I normally wear a 9.5 in shoes and I got the 10 which is perfect. Plenty of room in the toe area too which I like.

I've worn a size 10 in New Balance shoes for probably 20 years. Recently I've felt less support in NB than I was used to, so I branched out and ordered a pair of Brooks in size 10. They were too small and had to be returned. I then went back to an NB shoe (1080) in size 10, and it was also too small, both in length and width - thoroughly uncomfortable. I finally decided to try a different brand of shoe recommended for supinators, the Asics Gel Nimbus 22, in a size 10 1/2, and I'm delighted with it. The shoes are a perfect fit and feel wonderful. (I'm not a runner. I'm 76 years old but wear athletic shoes all day, every day, because I need the support.)

I had the 20 and prior models and I’m back for the 22. Color: the grey blue is solidly a very blue shoe. From the pictures on Zappos and the color name, I thought grey was dispersed throughout the shoe fabric, but only the accents around the laces are grey. There is zero grey in the fabric. I’ve tried to share images against my black 20. It still looks more grey in the pictures than it is. It’s almost shiny mid and dark bright navy blue. I don’t like the color options. Pink, white or blue... I’d like a moreso black or grey base. Maybe more colors are on the way? Comfort: it’s nice and cushy as I wanted with a stable somewhat firm footbed I like. I really like that about this shoe and it’s why I’m back for it. I add my orthotics for my chronic plantar fasciitis and I’m set. The footbed seems wide enough in the toes like my 20’s. Design: I don’t like the back of the shoe at the achilles at all. The 20 went up in that area with a niche at the tendon so it didn’t touch. This was great to keep the back padding I never noticed from crushing down when I put my foot in. The 22 doesn’t have that. It’s just curved with cushion under that edge. I had to wiggle my foot up to pull it back up. I think the cushioning will be pushed down with minimal wear like my Brooks did. In the Brooks, the padding slid down over time and hit my heel on making the shoe useless. I’ll need a shoe horn here every time which isn’t convenient sometimes, like at the gym. I keep going back to this shoe VS. others so I’m conflicted between not loving the blue and the back design. It’s got a stable, sure footed feeling other brands I have tried just don’t deliver over time. So, comfort yes, cushion design of back is no, color if you like a lot of blue is good, but if you thought it would be more grey mixed, no.

I have worn Asics for many years, but in the last couple of years I have worn a different brand. I tried to return to Asics this year with no luck. My favorite shoe was the Gel Nimbus 17! Unreal comfort and cushion and fit. I have moderate bunions and the newer versions became too narrow. After reading tons of reviews that indicated Asics had returned to their wider toe box in their shoes this season, I recently ordered the Gel Nimbus 22 in a wide and went up a 1/2 size (because feedback on the adjustment to the toe box was varied). I am so disappointed!! They are not even as wide as my standard width Gel Nimbus 17! Also, the shoe feels completely different and in no way has the same cushion and comfort as the Gel Nimbus 17. I am really hoping that Asics will look at all the feedback on their shoes and go back to the proven designs that everyone loved!

The material (fabric portion )of these sneakers -the uppers are already showing small tears in the fabric in several spots on both sneakers. I only wear them for walking and purchased in May. Very disappointed .

I have very high arches and plantar fasciitis and Asics recommends these. I recently also purchased the Cumulus 21 so I will be doing a little comparison. The Nimbus was much better for my heel while on my treadmill for my daily 4 mile power walk than the Cumulus. I have narrow feet so, for me, the toe bed for both were perfect. The Nimbus has the fabric on the whole front of the shoe and does not have a layer of reinforcement (rubber or whatever they use ????) across the front of the toes likes the Cumulus. For both shoes I went up a half size.

I have a slender foot with high arches and am extremely happy with the GEL-Nimbus fit and support. I've been having knee problems, and decided on ASICS after doing a bit of homework and reading positive reviews regarding the arch support. The cushioning is exceptional and the arches are high enough I don't need orthotics. I run on pavement, and am so far really enjoying the bouncy feel. I also purchases the same size in ASICS Cumulus, but they did not fit as well, felt like there was less room in the toe box. The support was good, but the cushioning not quite the marshmallow vibe I get from the Nimbus. Great shoe!

I have been a loyal Asics Gel Nimbus fan for years - I've trained for and run marathons in these shoes and I've always trusted them to be cushy pillows for my feet - no blisters, no pain after hundreds of miles. HOWEVER, this Asics Gel Nimbus 22 has been the WORST running shoe I've ever owned. I've consistently had heel pain and large blisters form on my heels after running or walking in these shoes. There is no cushioning like the past Asics Gel Nimbus styles. I don't know what Asics did with this 'upgrade' but I would strongly advise you to not purchase these shoes. I am really disappointed

I normally wear a 10.5 and have narrow feet/long toes (think skis...). Ordered an 11B and just perfect! So comfortable, lighter weight and look great. For me, perfect amount of cushioning for my bad knee, good arch support for foot with plantar fasciitis (PF) and don't roll ankles given that I supinate (roll feet out). Other brands good for some, but not all of these issues at once. For example, Hokas great for knee but not PF or supination (roll ankles like crazy in those); Vionics good for PF but not cushioned enough for knee. This is my 3rd pair of the Gel-Nimbus and I ordered another for the closet as I either rotate 2 pairs or get them around every 6-9 months to fully reap the benefits, given that I wear them hours almost daily. Highly recommend for those looking for an all around great walking or running shoe for any aging former athlete with the orthopedic issues noted above.

The most beautiful ASICS I ever owned. but they are also the most painful. There is NO padding in the ball area of the shoe. The heel is fantastic--I did not even need my orthotic to level out the difference in length between my legs due to arthritis. But nothing, nada in the ball area. The arch was fine and the shoe fit great but again, there is no padding. Cut my usual 30 minute run into 15 minutes and got off the treadmill limping. Sending these back as fast as I can. Asics--why are you doing this to your customers? I don't think any of us have liked a version of these since maybe 15 or so? Listen to the feedback!

These are great, just like the old Gel-Nimbus 18's. I was worried (since I buy running shoes a few pairs at a time, been awhile since I bought shoes) these wouldn't be as good, since last year's model didn't seem to make ppl happy from reviews. Don't worry, these are the Asics you know & love. The toe box is roomy, the heel is fitted & just right. (I buy wide width & these are true to size for us wide foot folks). Plenty of cushion, but not too soft (I'm like Goldilocks). Plantar Fasciitis sufferers, you're covered with these.

These shoes are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I have ever worn and have excellent flexibility. I have been looking for a good cardio dance shoe and these are perfect. They are also an excellent running shoe but I tend to do more trail running than road running so my fav trail runners are Saucony Guide 13 TR (I don't love Sauconys normally, but I love those). I am so happy with my purchase of the Asics Gel Nimbus 22 that I'm thinking about replacing my Hokas with the Gel Nimbus 22 for work. I am an RN on my feet all day. These shoes are bouncy but supportive. My feet don't hurt or get tired in them. They have good ventilation and from a very superficial point of view, they are super cute and styly!

I have had recent versions of this shoe, and I believed the positive reviews about this version having extra cushioning and a wider toe box. The shoe, however, seems skimpy. I ordered a half size up from my usual size and a wide width. These JUST fit...no extra room anywhere. I could not wear them with wide socks. The cushioning seems better that the 21, but is not what I would have wished. The wide width did not come in fun colors, so these are just okay...both in style and fit. Disappointing.

These ASICS Gel Nimbus 22 were great right out of the box. I have a medium width foot and normal arches, usually wear size 8.5 but went with Zappos recommended size 9 and they fit perfectly. I'm not a runner but like running shoes for walking. Each day begins with a 2+ mile walk on a paved road and these shoes were incredibly comfortable from the start, no rubbing, pinching - about the most comfortable running shoes I've worn. I did a bunch of research before ordering both these and also Brooks Ghost 13. The ASICS beat hands down and I returned the Brooks. After wearing my new ASICS for a couple of weeks I decided to order an additional pair because shoe manufacturers are notorious for "improving" the shoe with the next model which in my experience sometimes makes it worse. My first pair is Grey floss/peacoat, and the second is Watershed Rose - very happy with both colors.
I'd also recommend:

I have gone through a LOT of Zappos sneakers to find Asics - Nimbus and Venture so far are by far the best for me. I have plantar fascia issues and a lot of sneakers with the arch bar feel like a metal bar in my arch, after about 15-30 min. of wearing them. These Nimbus are great! has good heel to toe movement, good fit, cool looking styling and cushioning and comfort. I am probably going to order another one!
