I live in sneakers due to a foot issue, and own multiple pairs of the Gel-Nimbus 20. The 21s didn’t feel right, but I’m happy to report I just bought my second pair of the 22s. They required no breaking in, and I’m thrilled to finally own a true navy sneaker. I read many online articles about them after I purchased them, and it seems the running community agrees that this is one terrific shoe.

Zappos recommended 11 D in this shoe when I typically wear a 10.5 or 11 wide. This Asics was the perfect size and look but the heel was too wide so my heel moved up and down with every step which would lead to blisters or discomfort long-term. The Asics Nimbus 22 had about the same level of cushioning as the Brooks Ghost but both had less cushioning than the New Balance 1080v10. Overall the Brooks Ghost (11 wide) was the best fit for me with narrow heel so my foot did not move around inside the shoe. Brooks runs 1/2 size small so I always need an 11 wid, while New Balance I almost always need the 10.5 wide. Trying to find a wide shoe that accomidates a higher arch while still having a narrow enough heel is the key for me.

I had plantar fasciitis and heel pain in the past and my feet have been hurting since I’ve been wearing my sneakers (an older version of the Nimbus, which are now several years old) all day at work and running in them since the pandemic started. Once I got these shoes, it’s made a huge difference! The pain is subsiding, and I think about my feet a whole lot less. It feels like I’m waking on clouds. I’ve been an ASICS wearer for 13 years now, and these do not disappoint.

I already owned one pair of the Nimbus 22, which I bought from Asics, but went ahead and bought another pair from Zappos is another color to save for another month or so. Well, I received the shoes in the new color, and they fit very differently from the first pair I bought directly from Asics. I held onto to them for a couple of weeks, and kept trying them on, but they are rubbing my foot in a way I just don't think will get better. They feel narrower. Sadly, they had to go back.

Length - I wear a 6 in most shoes but size up for running. The 6.5 was out of the question, but the 7 left a nice amount of room for running. Width - I recently learned that my foot is on the wider side compared to most, but I found that these had enough width and were comfortable in the toe box for my size foot. Comfort - I bought these because they were recommended for peroneal tendinitis, and they might have been good for that but I never ran in them to be sure. There was a ton of cushioning in the heel and under the ball of my foot with moderate arch support. Ultimately I’m sending these back because the heel was quite snug (probably would have improved with actual use) and the overall fit for my foot wasn’t as good as a the New Balance 1080s that I also tried.

These are very comfortable for trainers but the fit has changed quite a bit since the nimbus 18. I really love the cushy supportive feel of the nimbus shoe. This is my third pair and I’ve been hooked since my first. I have never wanted to try another brand/style. The nimbus 22 is very supportive but the heel wrap I find to be a bit low. In years past the heel wrap seemed to grab my heel better and the cushioning there hit the right spot between the healbone and the Achilles’ tendon. This version although cushioned and comfortable kind of feels like it could slip off if not tied well. Overall I’m happy with them but questioning why the fit change?

I had informed Zappos immediately upon receipt of these shoes that I was going to return them- as I did not quite like the style (I found them to be a little too flashy). When my teenage son then contradicted my belief that shoes were not so pretty AND Zappos informed me then that I was allowed to try them for 30 days and still be able to return and get my money back, I decided to give them a try ?. They are wonderful: VERY comfortable and great to run in. They are keepers after all! ( I got used to the bright colors of the shoe ?). Thank you Zappos! I highly recommend this shoe. (PS I also had bought a pair of the more expensive ASICS-Tiger Gel- Kinsei-OG from a different provider- however returned those as the Gel Nimbus22 is SO much more comfortable!)

Held on to these for quite a while, trying them around the house from time to time. They just don't have the nice cushy feel of all my past Asics. I have been a fan for many years. Also, they do look a little clunky, but that may be due to the color. In any case, I later ordered a pair of Merrells and am much more please with them so I will give them a try.

Good support for flat feet. The Safety Yellow is SUPER bright. No need to worry about not being seen when wearing these. Run/Walk in these 25 miles a week and they have helped my knee and ankle pain.

This shoe was recommended to me by a friend. It did not disappoint, besides the price. They would be perfect if they had better arch support.

Asics was my go to shoe brand for years, but I can't seem to find the one that gives me fit and function. The Asics arch support feels great at the heel and arch when I am not moving. With movement however, the shoe slaps down instead of feeling smooth. The fit is also too short, my usual size does not fit and the next size is definitely too big. My foot tingles when I am done running or walking. I love Zappos' policy of being allowed to run in the shoe for 30 days, so I am hoping to break it in, but no luck so far.

Fit great in the same larger size as my old Asics. But they felt really heavy. I will miss the Nimbus Arch support which is fabulous. And no doubt could run in them right out of the box. But for spring/summer felt like lead sneakers on my feet. I would buy them again next winter.

Color is not the same in person, it looks dirty. Also, the fit was off on these - I actually preferred the GEL-Kayano 26.

I really wanted to like this shoe that was recommended among others on a list from my physical therapist. I'm usually a 9.5 in my sneakers but I realize my feet are changing with age and weight. The 9.5 wasn't long enough for the toes, really, and my left pinky toe was going to rub, I could tell. I exchanged for the 10, and although that improved the toe box, suddenly my big toe on the right foot was running up against the front. I could also tell that the ankle interior was a bit hard on the inside and outside of the ankle and were going to end up rubbing (based on years of experience). I considered going another half size up, but I'm wearing my daughter's Nikes in a size 10 right now and they're fine. I'm experiencing plantar fasciitis in my left foot, which is the same foot where I broke three bones 20 years ago, but I'm not sure I want to keep going through the exchange process (like, up to a 10.5) in this shoe. Especially since they're making me call in order to exchange or return this time around, which is not convenient hours for me.

I purposely bought these because the description said they are good for plantar fasciitis. I do not find that to be true.

I really wanted to keep these shoes. They look GREAT for running shoes, and probably won't find another I like this much. But this was a size 9.5 (regular shoe size is 8.5) and was very tight in the opening and could already tell there would be chaffing on my small toe if worn for any short run. I don't think it makes sense to order a size 10. Size 10 may be what I need in this shoe, but too weird and confusing to even bother such exchange. Asics, please figure out your size problem! I know I've seen this comment in other reviews (should have listened).

Wow did this version change, sorry to have to return and start looking again for a good fitting shoe, loved my last pair but it was the previous version. The arch was lower and more to the inside and back by the heal.

I really loved ASICS but over the years they have changed. I read so many reviews claiming the sizing is back to normal, but I disagree. They are still too narrow and I have to order a half size larger. The cushion and support is there if they could get the sizing right. If anyone is a first time ASICS buyer order half size larger and a wide if you don’t have narrow feet. As much as I wanted to go back to ASICS, I returned these shoes since I would still be taking a gamble if I ordered half size up and wide just to get a normal fit.

I really like the look and fit of this shoe; it provides good support and cushioning. Note: I replaced the insoles with one that has a higher arch support, which I need. Unfortunately, I needed a shoe that would work for my Jazzercise classes, and this one does not have the traction for quick side to side motion, or the stability for squats - they consistently slipped both side to side and front to back. The toes were also curved upward too much (I realize it is a running shoe and that’s probably a positive for running, but not for me). I loved my Nimbus-20 and have worn out 2 pairs of those, but these don’t have the same traction and stability.

Really disappointed that this is my second pair of ASICS to get tears in side on both shoes after less than 3 months of wear. Even went up to a wide to prevent it. ASICS has changed their materials for the worse.

These shoes are padded nicely and seem like they will be comfy and a great choice - however...all that padding means you'll need to size up a full size larger than normal which seems crazy. Then even when you have the right fit - its extremely painful to walk or just stand in line in these. I couldn't make it work and had to return. Wish Asics would go back to old sizing and makes of shoes as others have noted.

I loved this shoe, but less than two months into wearing the weaving on the top of the shoe is coming apart. I am really disappointed, as the shoe is comfortable for walking. This should not happen on this expensive of a shoe! I think it is a defect of ASICS!

I have been buying basics for at least 10 years and have always been a size 8.5. These were too small and I did not like they way they looked once I saw them up close and I returned them. I then ordered Gel Kayano's which is the style shave worn most recently. Ordered size 8.5 and they were too small - I held they up to my current pair of Kayano's and they are clearly smaller. I have returned those and ordered them in a size 9.
