My son has a wide foot. We always bought NB Extra Wide. This style although we bought the correct size and width, it was tight and the arch was not high enough to comfortably fit his foot.

My son loves them he has a very thick foot and it’s hard to find footwear that will fit him properly. These he said feel great!

My son loves these! They are so great to help with walking, and support!

New Balance seems to be the only kid's shoe brand where "wide" is actually wide enough for my son's feet- fit true to size and width. straps could be slightly longer to cover more of the Velcro closure, but they stay secured. Very very bold blue color.

The XW are easy on/off for my little one who has wide feet - And they're cute, too!

Its hard to find quality toddler sneakers available in XW width, but these fit my toddler perfectly! The strap goes all the way across his foot which does typically happen even with with an XW width. And he loves wearing them!

My son has big, extremely wide and thick (top to bottom) feet. We’ve tried so many different shoes and at age 1 we’re putting him in toddler 10s just to get his foot in. A lot of people recommended NB for a wide shoe. I got 7 XW and I got hit foot in(!!) but they’re still too narrow and not deep enough for him to be comfy, but it’s the best fit we’ve found so far. We just ordered an 8 XW and have our fingers crossed that they work for him.

Lasted 1 month with regular wearing. My son loved the colors so it’s such a shame. They were wide enough for his thick feet and very comfortable but didn’t last. By now his socks are showing clearly.

I like New Balance shoes as their wide width fit my kid great. However, after 2 months of wear, they’re breaking down far more than I would think they should. I know kids are rough on shoes, but other pairs he has have held up longer. It’s very disappointing to the lack of quality I’m used to with New Balance.

The shoe was as pictured and seem to be of good quality. Our toddler has wide feet and we had no trouble putting on the 6W. He did not seem squished into the shoe at all. He is currently wearing a 5W and probably could have worn a 5.5W but these will work fine.

Love the extra wide option

Great fit, the wide size was definitely what my son needed. They didn’t leave any red marks and seem to be well made

He loves them. They fit him perfectly and he enjoyed letting us know, by stomping through the house. Love New Balance!

My son likes the shoes

I bought these for my 3 year old son who has down syndrome and wears SMOs. It is difficult to find shoes that are the right length (not too long), but provide enough space at the ankle for the SMOs and still close. Usually this means getting the widest width available, and the shoes having extra long velcro straps, or laces (which are hard to find). The velcro straps could stand to be a bit longer, but they do provide about 1/2 inch that connects the velcro, which is enough. I tried some Stride Rite shoes as well, but the same size and width, they weren't big enough. I'd probably have to go a size bigger with the Stride Rites, but since these worked, we're just keeping them. His prior shoes were also New Balance, and quite frankly they work well, and they've held up well as well, and I'm hoping the same for these.

The wide was not wide enough.

Excellent for kids with wide or thick feet! We have a hard time finding XW shoes that both look good and feel good for him… these are extremely flexible and breathable. I’ve bought more expensive brands and had to modify them to fit comfortably. These are great right out of the box. Adorable on him!

Fits perfect. The extra wide is perfect for my fluffy boys feet! Well made. Good price point.

Great fit and looks.

My son (almost 4yrs-old) loves these! They're comfortable and easy for him to take on and off.

I like them based on my superior knowledge and experience with shoes.

I am really impressed with the outsole of these shoes. Unlike many other brands whose shoes wear out easily, these shoes do last. I bought a pair for my older one when he was three and now my younger one is wearing them.
