My son seems comfortable in these shoes. They felt a bit big, but still ok and more comfortable than the other shoes we bought at the same time. Would reccomend.

Love that these come in 1/2 sizes. My son loves them & they were comfortable from the first wear. They are also Less babyish because they have laces and Velcro at the top. Great purchase!

Awesome shoes, more narrow than I expected, even for a wide. Especially with New Balances you would think it would be a good wider fit. Might have returned but my son loved them so I kept them. But it definitely Runs small and narrow. But my son loves them, hoping they hold up well! Also the box they came in was really torn up, I have never experienced this before with Zappos.

My 8 year old said they are comfortable and he can run fast. They look supportive but a little difficult to get on. The tongue doesn’t stay in place when putting on and even seems to slip down during wear.

I bought these for my 4yr old grandson. I read the reviews and should have paid attention to the review stating the tops were tight. in regular thickness socks the sneakers were SO HARD to put on I nearly threw them across the room. My little grandson was trying to get his foot in but the elasticated tops were limiting his ability to push his foot all the way in. Finally I took his socks off and they worked fine. The next day I found some very thin socks, put those on him, then put his feet in the sneakers. Worked fine. But really. For this kind of money, PLEASE New Balance, do something about this problem. Other than that issue he loves them, they look great on, and he chooses to wear them over other sneakers he has.

MY son has a higher arch and could hardly get his foot into this shoe.

My kid loves these shoes a lot. They are tight even with the adjustable strap. Hoping we can break them in a little, but he struggled to get them on and refused to let me send them back. We even ordered up a half size. He does not have abnormally wide feet either.

My son had a size 4 Wide New Balance Kids 515 Sport (Little Kid/Big Kid) (https://www.zappos.com/p/new-balance-kids-515-sport-little-kid-big-kid-neo-flame-black/product/9244546/color/847403) that he outgrew. He's borderline W (a few M that run big will fit him), but he said these were too tight on the sides in front of the ankle where they tie. We ended up with another New Balance shoe, the New Balance Kids Fresh Foam Tempo (Big Kid) because he wanted a blue shoe and this is the pair that fit after trying multiple styles.

After 7 pairs I think these are it. My son wears AFOs and we are looking to add a lift onto one of the shoes. These fit perfect, enough tounge to cover feet/AFO but is a little snug with velcro strap. Lucky for us, the company adding the lift asked if we wanted to extend the velcro. Of course!!

We had to return a pair in my daughter's regular size in normal width and go up 1/2 a size and get a wider version. We've ordered several NB shoes for her and haven't had this issue before, so it was just with this particular shoe. There wasn't a lot of give to them where I felt that they'd even stretch out a bit. They were just too tight and small. The replacement size fits perfectly though.
