These are not Gore-Tex. I contacted New Balance and they said they are not waterproof.

Shoes fit fine. They were very light and a joy to run in. Not too much support and the first time I wore them I thought the left shoe felt like the arch support was on the outside of foot. I actually had some knee discomfort that night from the lump I felt on the outside middle of the left shoe. But next time I wore them they were fine and have been fine since. I like them.

This shoe is incredibly light— the shoes barely feel like I’m wearing them. The reasons I did not like these shoes is that the 4Es are pinching the sides of my absurd feet (it feels fine when I lift them off the ground propped up, but standing the cloth stretches tight across the metatarsals), and because the back of the shoe rises high, pushing up against my ankle. Otherwise, I think these are brilliant shoes. I do not know how they will feel after 12 hours on my feet, given they are so light and it’s unclear how much cushioning there actually exists.

This is only day 2, but I love these Fresh Foam Arishi Trail shoes. I have weird feet, they are fat, wide, and have a very high instep. I also supinate when I walk or run. (Not that I have done any running lately, but I used to run 10K 3x's a week when I was half my present weight of 370 lbs.) These shoes seem to help correct for my supination. The soles are light and flexible, but still absorb shock. They allow my foot to flex from heel strike to big toe. I also love Zappos' fast delivery and easy returns. I had to return a pair of Asics because of my high instep. Their tongue was so narrow my sock showed on either side. The return was simple, fast, and free. Thanks!

Fit is great! Good traction from the knobby sole. Forgot just how much I like a trail shoe.

I like the shoes. I have shoe inserts for my running shoes that created the perfect fit. Can’t wait to hit the trails.

Bought these for my husband. Although, he likes the feel and look of the shoe, these are not waterproof. I wish that these were not advertised as such. Returning.
