As a runner, I've worn Mizuno for a very long time, after having been evaluated at a running store for the best shoe/fit. I've had various versions of the Wave Inspire in the past, always in my regular size, 6.5. So, I ordered this pair without a thought as to size. After wearing them for the last year, I can say that they are just way smaller than previous versions. I like a snug shoe, but when I wear this version, about 30 minutes into my work out, one of my feet actually falls asleep and I can't feel it anymore. I stopped wearing them for all but the lightest/shortest workouts. I went back to my old Mizunos and they're holding up. I want a new pair, but am afraid to get something like this again. The style is nice, though.

Mizuno had changed the design of the Wave sneakers. I should have listened to other reviewers, the tow box is cramped and my last 3 toes on each foot hurt or get numb. They have broken in a bit after wearing 7 times but still not great. I never had to do this with other Wave sneakers. Disappointed. Good ankle support though.

I have been wearing Muzuno for many years. Bought this new Waveknit version in my usual size and as others have said, they run at least a half size too small. The toe box is tight leaving my toes pinched together and with blisters. I can't even wear them walking. Too late to return them. I'm really disappointed that these weren't tested for continuity between products. I shouldn't have to guess my size just because I'm buying a slightly different style. Just bought my first pair of Asics.

Been ordering Mizuno Wave Inspire shoes for 8 years- same size and model bc my feet pronate when I run. I ordered these in a 9.5 which is my regular size for this shoe and they are super small. My toes hit the front of shoe on both sides. More than the size issue, I was most disappointed in the customer service. Had to call Customer Service several times to get instructions on returns firstly and secondly I was disappointed to hear that the customer has to pay for the return which was over $20.....it's more the principle of it that bothered me. Despite that, I did re-order the same shoe in 10.5 size- a whole size up from my regular mizuno fit. I paid for expedited shipping bc due to the customer service issues it took over 2 weeks to get my shoes returned and refunded so I have been running in old shoes and my feet are killing me :(. Disappointing Mizuno. We have many options these days for where we make costly purchases so I'd work on improving the experience for customers making returns. If you sell shoes for over 140 dollars make it worth it please.

...because my feet went numb a mile into my 4 mile loop. Tried loosening the laces, no luck. Had to stop 4 times to take these off and allow circulation to come back. The look of this show is great and it does feel good for the first mile. But after a couple of runs in them, there is something really off about the design and fit. I wish the Inspire 5 or 6 would come back. Those were the best iterations of this shoe in terms of fit and overall wear.

I have been a Mizuno wearer for running since 2009 and was super sad that these have been the most uncomfortable pair yet! My toes went completely numb on my 3 mile run about a mile into it. They felt different than all the other Mizuno Inspires have I purchased in the past. Super sad to send them back.

I don't care for the new WaveKnit. The inside sole cushion is not as soft as the original Wave Inspire and they seem to run smaller. I normally wear a 10 in the Inspire and the WaveKnit was too little. I returned it and went back to what I know.

Narrow at forefoot (got away with using thinner socks). Hard soles, no bounce, no give, no oomph. Fatiguing shoes; ran an entire 1 minute/mile slower than my usual pace. Felt like forefoot slamming against the asphalt during road run and my old metatarsalgia recurred. Previously loved Mizuno Hitogami (now discontinued) and only tried this because I read somewhere it was an ok replacement. Now can't return shoes and not even sure whether I want to donate or recycle.

I know I've waited too long to be able to return these, but I thought I would be able to "break them in". Now I am stuck with the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned. My top of my right foot is so bruised that I am in constant pain. I have always worn Mizunos and have never had this problem. Now I am stuck with $100 shoes and pain.

This shoe was much narrow in the front area. The shoe over time cuts off the circulation in the front portion of my foot no matter how loose I tie them. I bought them as running sneakers and had to stop several times to adjust during my runs. I finally gave up and started using them for walking and this too does not work. I can't even use them as walking shoes because after a 1-1/2 walk my foot is numb.

Toe area WAY too small. Wave inspire has been my go to running show for years BUT this new design is steering me away. Had to return.

Simply put, these are awful running shoes. I've worn Mizunos for about the last five years (although I've been a runner for more than two decades), because the heel is cut deep enough to accommodate Haglund Deformity, and the shoes are stable. I've always worn an 8.5 medium, never had any issues at all. But these are cut waaay too narrow through the forefoot. Ran two miles and my right foot was in agony. Tried to loosen the laces for subsequent attempts, but still, the shoes hurt after about one mile. Mizuno needs to go back and revisit this design. I blew my budget on these, thinking they would be incredible; so disappointed in them.

Size 10:5 of his shoe has been comfortable but when I received the same model but with wave net it was too small. Unfortunately I needed the sho to run a marathon soon after receiving them so I had to return them and purchase a size 10:5 without wavenet at a local store.

I have used this model of shoes for 10 years. I confidently bought them online. After waiting 13 days for them to be delivered, I found that they are now running a full size too small. Now, Mizuno is not covering the cost of the return! I repurchased the shoes locally. I still love them, but would never buy them online again.

I want to love these shoes. I do love how they look on my feet. I wear a 10 in US Women's shoes, and I appreciate that these shoes don't make my feet look huge. But, much more important is how the shoe performs when I'm logging miles, and these just didn't hit the mark for me. The shoe feels very clunky, with a rather thick outsole and I find myself rubbing my ankle with it from time to time on the run- an issue I've never had with any other shoe. I'm not usually a heel striker, but the thick outsoles almost force a heel strike. The toe-box feels tight, and even on short runs I've noticed some tingling in my toes, as if there isn't enough space for my feet to spread out. The shoe has a hot and heavy feel to it, and I'm not looking forward to running in these shoes as the summer weather brings more heat to the mix.

Didn't like the fit compared to other Inspires. Size was too small and very uncomfortable so item was returned.
