Not any type of protection against the against the lightest of of elements. It is a rain jacket that costs way too much...

I LOVE this jacket except for the fact that the velcro sticks to EVERYTHING. For example, the jacket lining, your hair, car seat, bedding, etc....

I can't believe the horrible quality of this jacket. I expected so much more from northface. I had a house full of people around when I opened it up and everyone agreed it looks like it came from the dollar store and took 50 cents to make.

I bought this jacket on box day last December for my mother.
she only wears occasionally, however, when she went outside last week in a small rain wearing this jacket, the whole area surrounding her shoulders and chest are all WET!!! She tested it once again another day in small rain, the same thing happen.. This is UNBELIEVEABLE, we brought this jacket solely for the purpose of waterproof, as advertised per the the item description on the website but this is NOT WATERPROOF AT ALL, not even in small rain, severally doubting North Face's quality control, and utterly disappointed in the product... North face could not keep up with its reputation and quality promises

I purchased this jacket and after the first wash with cold water it literally ripped! The lining was separated from the jacket and chipped! I was excited to have this jacket this spring but it's completely ruined.

Jacket had size label that said small, but was actually a size large (due to manufacturing sewing on wrong size label). The company refused to exchange for one in correct proper size.

Runs small, cheap material, over priced. Disappointed in the direction The North Face is going!

specifically bought this jacket in a larger size.. the waist cinches in and makes you look like a bell. very unhappy with how it looks on. would definitely not recommend if you want it to fit like any of the photos provided. not sure how they expect you to wear a fleece or insulated layer underneath. for reference I am 5'2'' 125lbs and athletic and bought a size medium.

I bought this jacket as a waterproof layer when hiking, fishing, camping, etc. However, after about 2 hours fishing in a light drizzle my jacket underneath was wet, and I was starting to shiver. It repels water for about 30 minutes, but if you're planning on being in the rain longer than that, I would pick a different brand or product.

There is nothing great about this jacket. I would get more protection from the elements wearing a jacket made from paper.

This is quite possibly the worst rain jacket I've ever owned. I've had it a little under a year now. It was lightweight, the cut was good, and it was not too expensive. But I have yet to take a walk in it and stay dry. It is SOOO not breathable--even with the pit zips undone--that moisture condenses on the inside. If I wear it with a t-shirt, my arms stick to the inside of the sleeves from the wetness. If I wear it with long sleeves, the shirt sleeves are completely damp by the end of my walk. The insides of the jacket sleeves literally glisten with moisture. Frankly shocked that North Face would produce such a poor product. On returning from today's dog walk soaked (again), I resolved to just donate the thing.

I wore this jacket on a walk in extremely light rain and was supremely disappointed to find that when I walked past a tree the jacket was torn. The quality was so horrible that it ripped when brushing against leaves. The worst product I have ever received from this brand. What a waste of money.

I bought this jacket to protect against the rain while hiking the Camino de Santiago. I needed a compact jacket that would be rain proof for the days it might rain. I've wore this jacket 4 days on the Camino including rain and thunderstorms and it doesn't hold up. After the first hour it leaks rain and I'm not sure how. At first I thought it was sweat but two days in a row I wore it and it drenched my shirt. The lifetime guarantee only works for the first 60 days so unfortunately I can't return it. I just hope there will be no rain on the horizon the rest of my trip.

This was the second version of the coat I have purchased. I loved the first one but it didn't survive a scooter accident in Asia. This was not as good as the first version at all. The white layer near the hood has rapidly started to peel away leaving the inside of the coat patchy. Very disappointed with this coat :(

The jacket itself was nice. I liked the color and the material appeared high quality. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to wear it and returned it. It was just way too big on me. It looked like I was wearing a tent. However, for someone larger than me the jacket would probably be great!

I bought this in 3XL thinking that it would give me extra room, I usually purchase 2XL but when I received it, it felt more like an XL. I couldn't even close the jacket. I was very disappointed because I have been waiting to purchase a northface jacket but could never get one in the right size. I tried on a men's 2XL and it fit just the arms are too long but otherwise comfortable.

I have purchased countless North Face jackets, sweatshirts and pull overs in the past.. this jacket however, I had to return. The length was fine but the jacket itself ran very big/wide. It was loud, stiff, bulky and felt cheap. I am still an avid North Face customer but I would not recommend this particular product.

The heather green windbreaker was a nice color, but it fit poorly and material felt like paper. I returned it.
