The fabric is stiff and uncomfortable. Runs small.

I am 4'10" and 85lb. Even though I used their fit finder which recommended the XS, it was way too big on me. Although fine on the shoulders sleeves are too long and the width is large. It would be ok if wearing over a down jacket but the shape is not very flattering. Returning it asap. I guess need kiddies size.

This is a nice looking jacket. Great just for going for a walk in.
The jacket however, doesn't breath and it causes me to freeze because I get soaked in my own sweat.

I ordered it one size larger and I had to return it.
I didn't re-order it, though, because it "cracks" when worn. The fabric is thick and has a "carton" consistency, so it makes a cracking sound and the fabric is hard. Difficult to wear.

I was so so excited to get this jacket. I ordered it in Purdy pink. When I opened my package a huge rush of disappointment came over me. It looks beautiful online but it looks like a nasty faded eggshell with the faintest pink color. Be careful! Had to return immediately.

I've used this jacket every day its rained for the last year, and now it doesn't keep me dry at all. I have an older version of this jacket that I purchased a year ago. I loved it when I got it. Its stylish, a good weight for the summer/warmer months, and kept me dry whether I was biking, walking, or hiking. Now, every time it rains i still get wet. No holes, or wear or tear, just straight up stopped repelling water. Very disappointing after the amount paid.

I ordered this and when I got it and tried it on I liked the look of the jacket but it was very thin. Only a wind breaker. I was looking for something with a little more weight to it.

Dear The North Face,
Please stop lining your jacket pockets with mesh. Especially in stowable coats. Mesh rips so easily. When you are shoving your coat in the pocket to store it anything can catch the mesh and rip it.
Thanks.

I really wanted to love this jacket, but there were too many flaws. The color, however, was not one of them. I did like the "Budding Green" and would recommend especially with spring just around the corner. However, the fabric was the first challenge - I didn't care for the crinkly sound and feel. Next, I am 5'4" and short waisted. The sleeves were beyond long even with the adjustable tabs. The kicker was that the bottom of the jacket and my curvy build cannot co-exist. I wish I had an athletic build and could wear this jacket, but I think it is better suited for those women who do. Returning in hopes that it will delight someone else.

Unfortunately the jacket I received is marked as a "relaxed fit" rather than "active fit," which translates to "not fitted at all." The product pictures make it seem fitted, and I can't find anywhere on the product page that indicates that this would be the relaxed fit version. It's a really unflattering cut.

I bought this jacket because I needed a good-for-everything rain jacket, and I knew several people who loved their TNF rain jackets. I wanted the black jacket with the Kokomo Green logos, but instead had to settle for the Black Heather. The pictures of the Black Heather and just plain Black jackets online looked identical, so I ordered the Black Heather/Kokomo Green and couldn't wait for it to get here! When I received the jacket, the color was NOT what I was expecting. The color is Grey with an odd matte finish to it or something. I was so disappointed. Also, the jacket hits right below the hips, which is way too short for comfort. If you like room-to-move and coverage for your bottom, I suggest going up a size.

I thought it would be warmer. There's no installation, just a shell of a coat.

I bought this in Fall 2014. Since then I moved to an area that rains a lot and took it on a backpacking trip to the Sierras (where it rained/hailed/snowed for 4 days in July, despite the epic drought!). For walking around town and running errands in light rain, it's fine. But in anything more than a light rain, the outer material will get/stay wet. It does NOT bead water, like I expect a raincoat to do. The rubber coating on the interior of the jacket will keep you and your clothes dry, but you will feel the chill and dampness of the outer material. Otherwise, I like the cut and style of the jacket. It's just not my go to rain jacket in anything more than a light rain. If you live somewhere where it rains a lot, I do NOT recommend this jacket.

I purchased this jacket on the recommendation of my daughter, who was using it at college. I needed a lightweight waterproof jacket for occasional wear when traveling. The price was a bit steep for infrequent wear, but I loved all of the pockets and other features North Face included. It has been hanging in my closet for a couple of months and I pulled it out to wear to work today. Upon my arrival I discovered that the fabric was crumbling right along the edge of the seam sealing between the neck and hood of the jacket. NOT the quality and durability I expected from North Face and at this price point.

Love the color & design of the jacket but too much of an old/loud raincoat feel to it.

If it's barely sprinkling this jacket does the job, but if it's needed during a storm this jacket will leave you wet and cold.
