I have been running in Brooks shoes (Launch) for years and they've always held up. I needed more support so I switched to the Ravenna 11. Unfortunately the Ravenna 11 have been extremely disappointing. There is absolutely no traction on the bottom of these shoes. Since the first day I tried out these shoes, I have been slipping and sliding on the pavement when it's damp from a drizzle. When it rains really hard, I have to walk instead of run to avoid my feet coming out from under me. I love the fit and the support but I wish they had better traction. I never had this problem with the Launch series.

I agree with other reviewers that the newest model just isn't the same. The material is less durable than older versions of the Ravenna and the fit is different. The heels are wearing out and I'm only on 100 miles. I'm hoping these will at least get me through my marathon training then I'll be trying Hoka's. It's so disappointing after loving the Ravennas for years!

I am super disappointed in the shoes. I have loved my Ravennas in the past, but the design has completely changed. This shoe is much more light weight, with very little support. I feel the impact much more wearing these. They would not last nearly as long as my other Ravennas, either. Definitely going back. Brooks, please bring back the old Ravenna 8 or 9 design.

I am so disappointed. I have been buying Brooks Ravenna shoes every year since Ravenna 5s. I know my size, how they will fit, and how they will wear. I was BEYOND excited when this season they were in my favorite color (the cornflower blue). I almost bought 2 pairs so I could keep them as a backup pair. I am glad I didn't. Shortly after I started running/jogging/walking in these, I started getting blisters, 1 on my toe, and on both heels. I don't know if they are smaller and rubbing or too big and I am sliding in them creating friction. I went back and checked one of my previous pair of shoes and noticed how much more cushioning was provided around the heel. I still can't figure out what has changed in the toe box but something. Ugh. Now, these will just be a cute pair of shoes to wear when I won't be walking much. #fitnessfail #whathappenedtoravenna

I have been buying Ravennas for years. My first pair were the 7s, followed by the 8s...I loved the 9s so much I purchased two pairs. I held off on the 10s based on reviews, but purchased the 11s in hopes that some of the issues with the 10s had been resolved. Since running with the 11s, I have been having issues with blisters on my heals (which I haven't had in years) and knee pain (which I attribute to zero cushion/spring). I really wanted to like these shoes, but sadly am disappointed.

Ravennas were my go-to shoes for YEARS because of the stability & cushion they offered. However, over the years they have changed to where they are no longer recognizable. They have become lighter & smaller, stripping them of the stability they had for so long. Now they are just like any other minimalist shoe anywhere else, super disappointing!

I'm sure these are great shoes, but they didn't work for me. I bought an older version of this model years ago and LOVED them but this current version wasn't comfortable.

I have been a big fan of the prior Ravenna styles. Got the Ravenna 11 mid-marathon training to replace my 10s (loved the 10s and the 9s!). The toe box feels much more constricted, and the heel tab is very stiff and angles inward and rubs leaving blisters on my achilles which I never had problems with before this shoe. Additionally the general feel does not feel like the previous versions of the 'same shoe'. I didn't give up on the 11 and tried to keep wearing them on runs to hopefully break them in (never had to break in any other Brooks shoes) but it hasn't worked thus far. I wish I had saved the money and just ordered the 10's.

Loved the style and color. I have the Ravenna 10 model and loved them, but the 11 is way shorter, narrower and pinched my feet. I couldn't even lace up the shoe on my left foot even though I ordered in a Wide width. Going back to Zappos and I'll start looking for another shoe style.

I love Brooks and have worn only Brooks for the last 5 plus years, but this model is very poor and cheap compared with the other models I had. The back side of the shoes bends every time I wear it. The laces are cheap. I see where it wasnt glued properly on the front of the sneaker. Please go back to the quality you had previously as I only wear your sneakers. Thank you

I lived in my Ravenna 9s and bought these based on the good reviews but unfortunately had to send them back. Colour was fab and they look nice but fit and comfort wasn't right for me. The tongue design has changed and it's much narrower and smaller meaning my foot and ankle did not feel supported. The cushioning of the soles are as good as the 9s though. The upper mesh of the trainer is really thin compared to the 9s which I guess some people want but combined with the lack of support made these feel more like a workout or fashion trainer. Hated the laces - they were really stretchy and thin and I felt like they would snap easily when trying to fasten the trainers securely. I really wanted to like these but was disappointed.

This shoe an epic disappointment. This is my 7th pair of Ravenna and I've been wearing them a little over a week now. This Ravenna is markedly different from the supportive, roomy, comfortable Ravenna that first got me hooked on this shoe. As another reviewer noted, the toe box is smaller and narrower. Yesterday I put 6 miles on this shoe and I am left with blisters and painful pressure points on my toes. The insoles are like concrete and offer little comfort and left the ball of my foot sore and my arch tight. I could not wait to get my feet out of the shoes! This shoe is nothing like the Ravenna I've purchased in the past and it's left me looking for a new running shoe. Brooks changed this shoe for the worse.

I love Ravennas and have worn them for years... since the 6 at least. These 11's do not fit the same way at all! I've got a giant blister on the bak of my heel after wearing them for 2 miles because the back is soo much higher that the older Ravenna. I'm so bummed!!

I have worn these shoes twice. The result is two pairs of bloody socks and several used band-aids. I expect a little break-in time, but these shoes are unwearable.

I've been running in size 9.5 ravennas since 2011. I've run a few marathons and half marathons in previous models and have always loved them. Unfortunately the 11s aren't quite right. These run small, toe box more narrow and the sneaker is much stiffer. I even returned, re-ordered half size up and in the D width but still didn't fit right. I miss the 10s and am trying to find them online somewhere!

Unfortunately these shoes are not comfortable. I love the way they look but my feet hurt after wearing them a short period of time. I have been trying to get used to them but they are still painful to wear. I'm not sure if it is because they are not the right style for my foot or it is just the shoe.

I've worn Ravennas since the 2 or 3. They've been my go to for thousands of miles. The 11 causes me so much pain! I have bruising on the sides and top of my feet any distance over 3 miles! I have never gotten blisters before (other than a half in standing water once) but this heel is like cardboard covered with a bit of felt and I get blisters walking a block. I thought maybe they'd break in or some miracle, but no luck. I guess I'll be shopping for a new shoe for the first time in a decade. :-(

They changed the design of the back heel and tongue. I have blisters from these shoes. Why can't you leave well enough alone...now I need to find a new shoe for running.

I have been running in Ravenna sneakers for 3 years. When they discontinued the Ravenna 10 I thought they must have upgraded the design and purchased the Ravenna 11. What a mistake. Hey Brooks, women have toes! Why would you make the toe box smaller on a pair of running shoes? They are so uncomfortable that I found an old pair of Ravenna 10 on a discount site and ordered them. These are useless for running. I wish I could return them.

The fabric seems lighter and not as sturdy as previous models. The tongue isn't long enough. My toes go numb when I run. It's lacking supper.

I tried multiple sizes. After 9 versions, I had to move to a different style shoe. The blisters on my heels and overly snuck feel were awful. Terrible show

Very uncomfortable shoe. I loved the 9s and was very excited to try these. They fit right around the middle of the foot but feel big in the heel and toes. It's so bad I can't even run in them. I wish they would bring back the 9s.
