Originally bought these for my son, who is a competitive distance runner. He didn't like them since they felt heavy and gave him blisters. I happened to need a new pair for walking, and I wear the same size so I started using them. I like the sleeker, lower profile compared to other stability shoes that tend to be clunky. I struggle with inflammation in my ankles due to old injuries and flat feet. They provided great support and cushioning so I could handle longer workouts with less post-workout pain. The sock-like collar fits snuggly around my ankle, keeping out the gravel when I walk on limestone trails. The mesh allows for a little swelling, especially on hot days. Only gave four stars because the back of the shoe tends to dig into my achilles tendon.

Awesome shoes, love the look and feel but my right foot is bigger than my left by a bit and these hurt my right foot. I own 2 other pairs of brooks which are the same size and feel totally fine so I suppose something in the construction of these rubbed me the wrong way. Seriously great shoes though

Pros: Very responsive and one of the best combinations of durability and light weight. Fantastic for longer workouts.
Cons: Okay maybe this isn't really a con but something buyers should know. Before I purchased the 3's I bought the 2's from a local shoe store. I ended up getting the 2's a half size smaller than I normally wear. I ordered the 3's thinking they would fit the same but they were significantly bigger. For me, I need a full size smaller in the Levitate 3's than what I would wear in most other shoes. And a half size smaller than what I wore in the Levitate 2's.

I am not a runner. This is a comfortable and supportive shoe. I especially like the knit feel.

Good shoe. Very light. I think I still prefer the Glycerin, but I will definitely keep this as an alternate.

These were bought for daily wear, not athletic performance. As usual, I am liking the shoe a lot, but definitely not a fan of the new "sock liner" type construction. It's a bit harder to put on, and, despite having for the first time ordered Books socks to go with, the heel area does rub uncomfortably by end-of-day. Haven't quite broken them in width-wise yet either, but that will happen. If offered in a wider option, that would be the way to go for my foot, but still my favorite brand (by far) for comfortable daily wear. Color is great for wearing with dark outfits without being "all black". I have difficult feet, and greatly appreciate Brooks overall commitment to making durable and comfy shoes.

Like the shoe, one minor problem - I would prefer the shoe to be a lower cut. thankfully the soft elastic upper is helpful.

The shoes are good; fit is amazing, the back of the shoe is a little stiff rubbing blister on my left ankle Above the heel. Hoping with break in period it will go away

The shoes feel great but you have to use ankle socks with them. I get blisters on my achiles heel. But overall a great shoe!

I replaced my old Glycerins with the Levitates. The Levitates are a lot stiffer and I get a lot more punch out of them allowing me to drop my split times.

It's good no complaints yet, although my heels feel a little sore after runs.

These are sharp looking and have a good blend of support and shock absorption without being mushy. I am concerned about the back of achilles area irritating, so far so good.
My feet started hurting and I realized they seem too tight, 1/2 size small (despite my normal size ordered).
Zappos recommended 1/2 size up, will try that.

I like my new Levitate 3 LE's but not quite as comfortable as my previous, Ghost 12's. The Ghosts seemed to have a little more cushion between me and the road.

I noticed that other reviews mentioned that they rubbed their Achilles’ tendon, this happened with mine too. I cut the seam in back about 1/2 inch (see picture) and that took care of it.
They also seemed a bit snug, but I have been walking a great deal lately and as a 56 yr-old man it’s possible that my feet have gotten slightly bigger in past few months.
They did improve my knee and foot discomfort, however, so that is a positive outcome. I specifically got these because they had the “5” rating for cushioning.

Very comfortable sneakers that handled very well while running on the track and on the road.

My running days are over, however I work in a busy Chicago area level 1 trauma center. I am on my feet for about 9hrs of my 12hr shift. The Levitate 3 shoes make me feel like I'm working on one of the cushioned tracks I used to run on. Very pleased with my new shoes.

Good, secure feel on the foot. Section of pad near Achilles was noticeable at first while wearing no-show socks.

Felt clunkier than my last pair, but have grown into really liking them. Good side to side support and seem like they'll hold up well for long mileage. Anything wet feels crazy slippery though, so watch out for slick roads. Other than that I'm loving them!

i replaced a pair of glycerins with this shoe. With Covid etc I did not get to try them on prior to purchase. I do not like the on / off of this shoe, they perform well running but would not purchase again

This is my first pair of Brooks running shoes. I liked the quality construction. Initially they seemed heavy compared to what I was wearing and also on my first runs were a little stiff. Now that they are broken in a bit, they stabilize my running and are comfortable. The heel cup was a little high in the beginning rubbed up against my heel and it blistered. But, at this point, this problem has disappeared. I think it comes down to breaking in the sneakers. It did take me a couple weeks - I do only 15 miles/week at this point.

The Levitate 3 is as comfortable as the previous version; however, i have issues with skin rubbing on one of my toes and ankles. Now, i am using sport tape when i exercise.

Had to return these. The top rear of the shoe tapers to support your achilles but it tapers too far towards the front. I constantly felt the back of the shoe rub my ankle, and instead opted for a Brooks shoe with support that didn't jab me in the heel.

Bought as a 'fast' training runner to accompany my usual Ghost's for my 2-3x a week 3.5 runs. I don't feel any lighter or faster and it kind of runs with a little more slabby feel to the midsole than the Ghosts do. Great fit with the knit upper and overall very comfy. Does not crush my big toes like the newer Nike Pegasus' knit uppers do, which is a huge plus. Definitely more stylish than Brooks usual "dad-shoe" styling, per my teenage daughters
