I have been wearing Brooks Ariel shoes for many years. I pronate, have bunions, and have wide feet. They have given me comfort and support and room for my orthotics. When I received my recent shipment of Ariel shoes, I was immediately taken aback by the seemingly less sturdy construction, change in the sole, and lack of reinforcement layers on the outside of the shoe over the mesh fabric. I will keep them because I need them but I hope the next model goes back to the more sturdy design of the model 18.

Disappointed. I'm a nurse and work long hours. I bought these Ariel 18's by brooks and my feet never felt better. I had terrible plantar fasciitis and with the Ariel 18's it was gone within a few days. I kept them for as long as possible, until I needed a new pair. I ordered the new version and my feet and hips are back to aching like crazy. Where can I buy another put if 18's and get my life back.

I was really sad when they updated the aerial. I really thought the aerial 18 was the perfect shoe. As a nurse who works long hours on her feet, I really need a good shoe that has good support and is light weight. I don't know what you guys did to change the shoe but it was perfect the way it was. I really do not like the aerial 20.

Very disappointed in this model of the Ariel. I have owned several previous Ariel models and had come to expect excellent cushioning and support. This model lacks arch support and cushioning. I should have sent these back. Brooks have continued to make unfortunate adjustments to other models like Glycerin and Adrenaline that I had also come to love. Brooks have been the only athletic shoe I have purchased for the last 12 years and I may have to search for a new reliable shoe company. Please stop making "adjustments" that change the reliability of your shoe models and listen to your loyal customers.

The shoe was comfortable but too much shoe and felt like for a man, I need a wide toe box which it has but the whole shoe just did not work well I keep looking, trying a Torin 4 Plush hoping with all its cushion and wide toe it will. But zero drop I will have to try. Thank you Zappos for helping me with all my foot problems and the military discount. It really helps.

Disappointed in the changes in Ariel 20. The Ariel 18 had a firmer more supportive and wider in the heal area sole. It was much superior in support for planter facitis and pronation.

I don't care for the outside design. I believe the look of 18 & 19 are better. The new outside of toe of the shoe is cheap. You need to take the price down because the toe of the shoe won't last long.

I was disappointed in the quality. The shoelaces were long and flimsy, and the inner sole was not as cushiony

I wanted to like them, but the design isn't ideal for me; I need a shoe with more arch support.

I totally agree with Jan W. from Moline, Il. I have worn the Ariel running shoe 100% as my "go to" for comfort, support, and everyday wear and exercise for over 10 years. The Ariel 20 feels like a totally different shoe. My inserts don't fit and if I squeeze them into the shoe, they squeak. The shoe is too soft and doesn't have the support for pronation that I've become accustom to. As a result, I have more low back, knee, and foot pain. And, even more frustrating, I can't find another shoe to replace the Ariel 20. I've tried the Addiction walker which is better, but not the same. Please bring back the support and fit that Ariel had for over 10 years! Thank you from a big supporter of Brooks Ariel!

I have worn Brooks Ariels for years and always thought they were the best. I ordered the Ariel 20, but am returning them. They are not the same quality. The fit was the same, but they are now made of inferior materials and the cushioning is almost gone. I am so disappointed.

Use to be great for over pronation. These are totally different. Dissapointed. Not as stable.

This shoe did not compare to the 2018 Brooks Ariel. Had no toe rubber and the heal was in comfortable. The heal did not have just one piece of Fabric padding. It had three seams. Would not buy again.

These shoes maybe great for some people but for me they were not. The fit is off. I wear a 10 W and they are too short. They also do not have enough support for my feet. I wear orthotics and I have bone spurs in both my big toes. I have been wearing the Ariel 18 and that was a pretty sufficient shoe for my foot problems but the 20 is not. The 18 has more support and a lot more cushioning. The 20 has very little support and the cushioning is not great. They definitely do not feel as well made as the 18, kind of cheap. Sorry Brooks, your shoes have up til now been great!!!!! Had to send these back.

At first I thought these sneakers were great. They felt wonderful. After two months, they had a whole in them and the material is wearing away. Sneakers should last more than two months.

I?m on my feet all day in an Oral surgeon office. I have bought a new pair of the Ariel every 6 months for years. It?s the only shoe that gives me the support I need. I have always been happy except for the Ariel 20. It feels like they are flat with no arch support whatsoever. I have always loved the extra support I get from the Roll bar on previous models. I?ve worn these for 3 days giving them a chance and my feet can?t take it. Please bring back the added support we have all come to love from Brooks. I?m currently trying to find the Ariel 18 to see if there is any left to buy them up! Not having any luck. ?

After wearing Ariel 18s I was very disappointed in the Ariel 20. They are not as comfortable, not as much cushioning especially in toe box. Had to go up a half size so does not fit as well. Overall quality not the same. Will not purchase again.

Hurts my feet. Working 14 hour shifts. Thought I would try Ariel 20. My feet fatigued. I have wide feet and high arches. I'm going back to Glycerin and Ghost shoes.

I don't understand how a shoe can go from great to lousy so fast!!!! Brooks, you really have made good shoes. The ariel was great years ago. It had a wide skirt in the sole and really had good cushioning in the ball of the foot. The support was excellent and it felt like a well made shoe. This edition is really subpar. The ball of the foot has nothing in terms of cushioning. The shoe is sized wrong, definitely down a half size. Support is totally lacking. I do not get how anyone says it is better than even the 18 and the 18 wasn't as good as its predecessors. I'm really unhappy as I need a good all around supportive shoe to wear everyday and now I have none. Maybe you can start listening to your customers????? Make a better shoe!!!
