I bought these for a plantar fasciitis condition. These shoes were comfy but really made my foot supinate. Had to return them.

I have been buying Brooks beast/ariel for 25=30 years. They are getting worse every generation.

Brooks Folks, I will continue to purchase new Ariel's because of their arch support. HOWEVER, my old Brooks 18's with a worn out tread offer significantly superior arch support. Overall, it has made me frustrated and disappointed that the quality and support offered by this model has gone steadily downhill since made my first purchase so many years ago that I cannot remember. Additionally, the shoe top has gotten thinner and thinner, thus providing inferior protection again the cold weather. Do you have another model with more aggressive arch support? thanks

This is the third pair of Brooks shoes I have ordered online, size 8 (US). I loved my first two pairs...fit perfectly; comfortable wearing them all day. I was able to walk my daily 5 miles with them from the moment I put them on. The recent pair of shoes (size 8, US) is about 1/2 inch shorter than the other pairs. My legs feel tired if I wear them for more than a few hours. I have worn them about four times, hoping that this will change. So far, no change. Disappointed as they were pricey.

So glad you asked about this shoe as I have been thinking of writing to you, This was my first Brook purchase. Originally I thought it would just take some time to get them "broken in". After the third try, still wasn't convinced that this was the shoe for me. I checked some of the reviews of other shoes and came across Brooks Addiction. Lots of good feedback. Many cautioned to order a half size larger so I did that to be fair. Well I love them. I even purchased the same shoe in black. So now I have two out of three that I wear. Janice

No colors to choose never have them in my size. Need to make more. Not happy getting same colors over & over. Disappointing new ones never come out. Seriously you need to make more of these shoes and more colors. I can?t wear ghost and those are all over the place and lots of colors.

I started having difficulty with plantar fasciitis after wearing these for several weeks. I wasn?t aware that it was the lack of support in the shoe which exacerbated the issue. The Ariel 18 was a superior shoe. I had 5 pairs. Loved them. No problems with feet or knees. Please bring back the 18?s!!

Doesn't feel/fit like previous Brooks I've worn. Heels rub. So disappointed. I've been wearing Brooks Ariel for years but will be searching for another supportive tennis shoe.

I’m a runner and I’ve been wearing this style of Brooks running shoes for over 15 years. This is the first time these running sneakers are designed too short. I can understand changing up the style or tweaking the width, but you can’t make size 8 into a size 7.5. Shoe length are standard sizes! That just doesn’t work. I’m going to send them back and try a half size larger. What a pain.

Heals are awful. No support and crush down every time I put these on.. if it wasn't for the bad quality of the heal this would have gotten five stars.. price point high for quality.

Not the same as years past. My podiatrist recommended Ariels but now I don't think he would. They removed all the support fir heel spur sufferers. There's no "cage" on back heel for added support. They feel cheap now.

What happened to these sneakers??? I've been wearing Brooks Ariels for many years. I wear them constantly and typically replace every six months. This pair immediately felt off to me. Not as much support, flimsy and just not right. I still have older models that I wear for gardening and there is a big difference. Now I need to find a new brand.

I ordered because I loved my Ariel 18s. These have the cheapest backs ever!! I have to pry my foot in every time because the backs would bend down. Very disappointed because they were very expensive & quality was not there. They have a great appearance though & once they are on your feet they are good.

I have been wearing Brooks Addiction and Adrenaline running shoes in size 7 for 16 years. They fit me perfectly. I decided to try Ariel '20. I am very disappointed. My toes touch the end of the shoes. They are at least 1/2 to a full size smaller than any other Brooks I have worn. Sadly, they are going back. Maybe I'll try a 7 1/2, but still not sure.

I buy Brooks 99% of the time for support, consistency and style. However, the Ariel 20 is a pale sister to the Ariel 19. I never had a problem with my walks in the 19, but every time I try even half the distance in the 20, my knees are killing me. Today, I decided why. Unlike the 19, there is less support overall. And the design of the shoe is pushing my feet into overpronation, a problem I have never had. I think it is due to a lack of arch support in the shoe. My 19s have much better arch support, hence I don't put my weight on the inside of my foot/knees. Even my hip is hurting. So these will be very expensive slippers.

It was suggested last Fall after seeing a physical therapist to go to a certain store in town that carried your shoes. I did really like how they felt on my feet except the material around the left shoe big toe area was coming apart after a month. The place I went to was great and they called me in January once a new pair arrived. I noticed the same thing going on with the 2nd pair but I didn't want to " complain" again so here it is in June and the cloth on the left shoe again is coming apart so bad that I will need to look for another shoe. The shoe itself was comfortable but I'm thinking that it shouldn't be falling apart like that especially with the cost of it. I noticed problems with the wear after about a month which would've been in February. I just looked on here to see if anyone else had similar issues so I didn't think it was just me. Sounds like the previous styles were sturdier. Thank you!

My previous Brooks shoes was the Ariel '18. They were out of stock everywhere and I realized, Brooks had replaced it with the updated Ariel '20 so I ordered a pair as my '18s were getting worn. My left foot has pad atrophy. That's when the fat pad starts to thin. This is painful if not supported suffient padding, by a shoe. I got that support with the Ariel '18. I put on the Ariel '20 and when out for my walk. I could feel the lack of padding with every step I took. Something had changed. I packed up the '20s and sent them back. Zappos has a great return policy and I appreciate that. Thank you for making it easy to return what doesn't work for your customers. For those with pad atrophy HOKA BRAND does the job. The shoe is wider and had more depth but does the job. I don't think about my foot when I go out now I just enjoy the walk.
