I have been wearing the Brooks Ariel shoes for years. Matter of fact when I worked 12 hour shifts, these shoes were a life saver, but not these new soft sole Ariel shoes. I DO NOT LIKE the soft sole Ariel's, they are not as supportive as the harder sole shoes were. We are not all runners, some of us work long shifts at our jobs and that is why I need a more supportive shoe. I also had to order a larger size, because this shoe runs too small and they wear down much faster, like a memory foam shoe. BRING BACK THE HARD SOLE ARIEL SHOE.

Lately the Ariel's hurt my toes. I don't know what has changed but they hurt a lot. I'll have to try another style. I've loved them for years and years. Oh well, things change.

I wish I'd never wasted my money on these shoes. They literally cripple me. I usually love Brooks but I will never buy Ariels again.

Not a good fit even though I ordered a half size larger than my usual shoe size.

although these Brooks sneakers are very attractive, the fit was 1/2 size too small. Width was fine as I need extra wide. Arch support was adequate. Will order next size up

I've bought this sneaker; the sole materia are peeling off and the back of the heel cushion ; its uncomfortable. I owned a least 20 pairs of brooks so far this one's a the least that I've wear, 7or 10 times ; they re wearing the most, compare with rest models.

I really, really wanted to like these shoes. I went by reviews that said to go a half size bigger. It should have been a full size bigger. These were too short in the toes. And why do shoe companies not have a better selection of colors just because someone needs a wide width?

New colors would be nice!! Was told by your staff I would have more colors to pick from during the holidays.... there was 1 new color. After all the other brands have several color choices

As I told you before, I am 92 years old and don't run, but I have been wearing Brooks Shoes for over 10 years, and I can not get a shoe today that is comfortable. The new ones I have now, make my feet hurt all the time. It feels like all my weight is on the ball of my foot. I had to go back to my older shoes because of the discomfort. I think you have changed manufacturers, or materials in your shoes, and I have gotten the same info, from friends I know who are not happy anymore with your styles. I suppose I have to start to look for another brand. I have worn your shoes for many years, but have decided that these new styles are just not for me.

I bought these because of the extra width. The width was perfect but there was barely any cushioning under my foot I work 12 hr shifts and my feet would be hurting after an hour. I liked the color. It would be great if these shoes had the cushioning of the ON running shoes and the wide width.

The shoe felt great except on my right foot. The back of the shoe kept rubbing up against my heel leaving a blister and bruising

I'm a walker not a runner and have fat, flat, sensitive feet. I used to cry after trying on shoes because my feet would hurt for days after trying on 3-5 pair of shoes that didn't fit right. My hubby took me to a Fleet Feet store many years ago and they put me in a pair of Ariels. They were heaven! I have purchased the same size Ariel shoe over and over for probably about 15 years and my feet have LOVED every pair....until this year. My feet measure a 7.75 and I have always worn a 9D - perfect, no pain fit. I bought the 20 Ariel on 9/12/22 and am so disappointed with them. The toe box was changed and my regular 9D was "biting" my toes, so the fitter put me into a 9.5D. At first I thought they were okay because the 9.5 didn't bite my toes. After getting them home, I haven't worn them much because I feel like I'm about to stumble in them. They also seem to make my feet very HOT.... none of my other Ariels felt like that. It's like there is no air circulation. I've gone back to wearing my old (worn out) Ariels because they feel soooo much better than the new ones. I just checked today to see about maybe returning them, but it looks like I'm a few days past the date of no return. :/ Expensive mistake! The Ariel was my PERFECT shoe...until they changed it. Whatever was changed in the toe box with the 20 model does not work with my feet. I'm so sad!! :*(

I was expecting the same comfort as the Ariel 18 and 19. These are not as cushy and actually hurt my feel and legs after a couple hours. I thought if they were broken in they would get better, nope. Now I'm stuck with very expensive shoes that I can use for yard work. I'm waiting for Ariel 21 and hoping they will be comfortable again.

The width of the Ariel 20 is inconsistent from color to color. I bought a pair in Grey (Alloy with Green) in size 7.5 2E width and the fit was perfect. I wanted them in black and ordered them from 3 different retailers (one of which was Zappos and one of which was directly from Brooks). The width on the 2 pair I ordered from other retailers felt like a wide at best not an extra wide (2E). On the black pair from Zappos, the left shoe felt like a wide while the right shoe was an extra wide. I returned all 3 pairs I ordered in black and have given up on that color. I'm happy that they grey pair fit and hope they last long.

Not as comfortable as the Ariel 18. Ariel 18 was the perfect shoe. Please return to the way that you made those. Ariel 18 was perfect for the over pronator. Ariel 20 is not. I had to order a half size up to fit. I gave these to my neighbor as they fit her. These run very small.

Not enough arch support, stiff sole, and not enough cushioning for my liking.

Not a big fan. I usually wear the Ghost and these seem too cushy and big for me to run in. I don't really find them that comfortable to walk in. Was an expensive mistake to make but I'm glad I tried something different. Will definitely stick with my Ghosts from now on!

These shoes are like walking on wood planks. Zero flexibility. The look of them is nice, but wearing them hurts my feet, ankles and hips.

This shoe was recommended to me by someone from Brooks as a replacement for the Brooks Addiction line. The Addiction shoes have been mostly out of stock and have not been expanded as most of the other lines have. Sadly, the Arial '20 did not provide enough support for my feet. I wore them in my house for a short time twice and then wore them all day and they hurt my feet. I have severe pronation and use orthotics. It's difficult for me to find comfortable shoes.

Used to love brooks shoes. The past few yeas they have started using a really cheap looking fabric on the top. Not crazy about the look, longevity or price and do not like the light color. Sustainability is also about how long an item lasts before it hits the landfill.
