The comfort is ok. Back heel always collapse when putting on which is frustrating. Fabric has torn on opening by laces on one shoe. I walk in them 3-4 times a week. I would have thought they would have lasted longer for the price. Purchased in August 2021.

I have been wearing the Brooks Ariel for many years.
They are the only shoes that I wear, because of problems with my feet, and also because of sizing.
I do not like this 2020 model as well as the 2016 models. I also have the 2018 model. The 2016 Brooks Ariel model was excellent, and I hope that you can return to that. It had better support and looked nicer, too.
It was sturdier and more comfortable.
I do like the Brooks Ariel, and appreciate the motion control.
I also miss the shoe laces having 2 tones. This model has just a solid black shoelace, which isn't as nice or interesting.

I always wear a 10 in Brooks shoes, except for the Ariel '20, which is too big for even my big foot. My foot slides around inside them and my big toes smash against the front of the shoes all day long and really hurt at the end of the day. I tried thicker socks and bigger inserts, but they're still too big. Unfortunately have to return and get Hokas instead. As usual, the Ariels are not cute at all, though I was excited to finally have a color besides navy, black, white, or beige.

I've been running in Ariels for years and loved themuntil I ran in the squeaky 20s. Support is still decent, but lacks the cushion solid feel of the 18s. I still have two pairs of my old 18s and prefer running in them to the newer 20s

Loved the way the shoe looked on my feet, but my toes were right against the edge, therefore it would not be a good fit for me.

I still recommend the addiction over ariel. They always fit well.

I've owned lots of other Brooks sneakers but I had a very hard time inserting my customer orthotics into these. The shoes seemed more narrow and possibly a bit shorter in length than other medium-width Brooks styles.

WHY would anyone put flat laces (vs. rounded) that are black on light gray shoes?! Makes them look cheap. And ugly. I had to cough up $7.99 to get round, light gray laces on Amazon. Just could stand those crappy looking black ones.

I have been wearing Brooks Ariel sneakers for at least 15 years. I have loved every model except this one. I have noticed that they are not as supportive especially around the toe bed. Fabric is tearing near the left toe, I thought it was from my toe but it is due to the design of the sneaker. There is a piece of plastic that is pushing through. Another issue is that the back of the sneaker folds down when you put it on no matter how much I loosen the laces. I am trying to find new previous models because I will not purchase Ariel 20 again. Any idea when the 22 are coming? I might have to change brands.

Like style and fit. Returned because heal would get sore. Harder than other Ariels I wore.

They are very cute. I wish they would have worked. I tried several sizes and widths, but none worked out to meet my needs.

i love ariel 20- when it fits. i had to buy three pairs till i found one that fit right. i loved it for about 8 months when it wore out. then ordered 3 pairs because i saw everyone was running out of them . all the same size. one was too short. pne was too long. one just hurt my legs but i couldn't figure out what was wrong with them. also all felt weirdly wobbly and unstable (I think what's left might be what was returned) that's why three stars - 5 stars when it fits right. 0 stars when it doesn't. It's a potentially great but unpredictable shoe which i have finally given up on

The fit was good. This is the second pair I purchased of this style. I was a little disappointed with the comfort level. I did not have the wow factor like I did with my first pair. They are just okay :(.

This pair of Ariel 20, is my 3rd pair of Brooks, the last pair was Ariel 18. My first two pairs were excellent. My current pair is about 6 months old, and there are holes over my toes. I'm not running in them. I walk in them only 15 miles per week. I don't think this is hard use. I gave three stars because they were comfortable in the beginning and supported my feet well. For the price, they haven't lasted very long.

This is actually a review for the Ariel 19 and feedback on the 20. The 19s have done a great job reducing the pain I was experiencing in the bottom of my foot. However, the material around the heel and toes started to started to show serious signs of wear after only a few months. The thin, webby texture does not hold up well. I've dealt with it for awhile because they are comfortable and supportive. I came here hoping they had updated the material. Not only does it look like they have not, I'm disappointed to see they are only available in two color combinations, both of which I find to be very unattractive. For this much money, I should be able to choose a shoe that is both attractive and comfortable. Hope the next model has more options.

I was disappointed that these sneakers did not fit my feet as Brooks usually do. My big toe was right at the very end of the shoe, and the toe box felt like it was pressing down on top of my toes, especially towards the end of the shoe. For this reason, I decided to return instead of just sizing up. I ordered wide width, and they did feel true to a wide fit. They seemed very cushy and supportive with good arch support and stability. I’ve worn Brooks for years, many models, but this is my first time trying the Ariel. I’ll stick with the adrenaline GTS for now.

Shoes weren't made right. Left shoe had a high arch and you couldn't even feel the arch in the right shoe. I returned them

I've worn Brooks Ariel's for over 10 years and have always been very happy and a satisfied customer. I am not satisfied with this recent pair. The feel is not the fit I depend on Brooks to provide. Specifically the right shoe. Something just feels off about the fit and the way the shoe performs when I am running or walking fast. It does not feel as supportive as any of my past Ariel's have been. It almost feels like the toe bed is too small which causes discomfort and I feel the need to compensate my stride. Honestly my old Ariel 18's feel more supportive than this new pair. I am very disappointed in these new shoes.

My Dr recommended Brooks Ariel to help with foot issues. The shoes themselves are very comfortable right out of the box and they helped instantly with my foot pain. I use them for daily walking and the gym. I do rotate shoes but love how comfortable these are. Unfortunately, the material around the toe area is cheap and falls apart fast. After a few days of wear, the right side of the left foot started to fray. I thought this was my getting used to the shoes. Bought a second pair and within days I noticed the same thing. I compared with my other shoe brands and do not have any signs of wear in this area. For the price, I am highly disappointed in the construction and how fast they wear out. I need to get another pair after only 2 months, not sure if I will continue to purchase until the design has better reinforcement.
