Im an avid Walker. 50 year old Cis Female. I typically walk 4 miles per day on street asphalt. I love these shoes. Great fit. Very supportive. Great shock absorption and that is whats most important to me: impact on my joints and back. This is my second pair of Brooks. I absolutely loved my first pair and when I wore down the tread I immediately bought another pair.

So far the shoes have been alright as far as fit and support. I think they were a little too cushioned for my feet and I had to add extra support for my toes but I really like how they dont crowd my toes and that has helped some with my toe pain. What really disappointed me with these shoes is that about a month in I had somehow already worn the outside to the point they almost have a home on the big toe. Im not sure how I did it but the fabric just hasnt held up. For the price I would have liked them to last longer than a couple months.

I love these sneakers. My only complaint is the top padded edge tends to dig into my ankle. But I need support there.

Love the color of these shoes. I have a high arch so the fit of these shoes did not work out. Bummer.....had to send them back.

Like most people (if other reviews are an indication), I do not run in Ariel; however, I have been wearing them daily for many years. I have almost all colors and rotate use to keep them for years. My shoe closet looks like a Brooks showroom. One criticism: I wish they would bring back the leather wraparound toe-piece, lacking in recent years. Without that extra bit of protective leather, the fabric toe is easily scuffed, gets dirty and wears out quicker. Other than that, this is the perfect shoe for me, recommended by a podiatrist many years ago.

Great shoe, but when putting on the heal keeps getting pushed down when I step into them. This is the 5th pair that I have bought.

I have been buying the Ariel (women's beast) since 2017. I am an RN on concrete floors for 12- 14 hours and these shoes saved my knees! Now, they are hard and flat I cannot figure out why Brooks cannot go back to the cozy, cushy, well-made, and structured shoe. Uggghhhh!

I've been but the same Brooks shoe for years. This pair is kinda weird. On one shoe, the laces are too shortand fine on the other shoe! And the tongue is noticeably too narrow. Narrower than on other pairs. I often kick up small rocks; a narrow tongue doesn't do the job of keeping them out! Thank you for the opportunity to share these observations. Best, Kathi

I have different types of Brooks and the Ariel 20 is one of my favorite. It has great support and cushion. One of my few tennis shoes where I don't need to also wear my orthotics. Because they are expensive I usually wait for them to go on sale or buy last year's model. I'm not a runner so can't rate it on that but I do the treadmill every day and on my feet all day at work.

Having horrible bunions and other issues I can vouch that this toe box (2E) works for me. I use orthotics, and there is room for those, too. There is not a lot of excess length in the toe box to get the width and height I need.

I really like this shoe, and chose this style several years ago after ordering several different brands and styles. It really works for my narrow, flat feet and bunions. Nice wide toe box. great support and pronation control. The fabric material is easy to adjust as loose or tight as I need. I really appreciate the variety of colors and love the navy/viola. Please keep coming out with more color choices! Areas for improvement - I wish the heel was a little narrower. And the downside of the fabric material is it wears out faster. Also, they can get pretty hot - maybe some added ventilation would be nice.

Ive always worn New Balance but Brooks was recommended to me by both the store employee and the podiatrist. The fit and support is superior to any shoe Ive worn. I wear this shoe for all activities.

I was introduced to the Brooks Ariel some years back due to my issues with pronation. I was told the Brooks Ariel was the best shoe on the market for my ankle turning issues.
I've found them to be very comfortable and keeping my ankle from turning. About the only slight con I have is with the limited and not so great colors they're offered in. It would be nice to see a white or at least a two tone with white, maybe a royal blue or some others colors besides gray and black all the time.
I don't know who chose the horrible greenish blue color of the Ariel 23's but I'd be surprised if that color has many sales. It doesn't match with anything. In the other models of Brooks shoes you have a good choice of colors but the Ariel's just always come up short on the colors. I'd love to see a navy that wasn't a 1/2 shade away from black.
I hope future Ariel's will have more and better color choices.
Thanks
Cathy Norris

I had been wanting to try this style for years due to needing the support. I like them but not sure they were worth the additional price over Adrenaline or other support styles. I only felt a slight difference. I still would definitely buy them again, only if on sale. I love Brooks shoes, I'm in Healthcare and on my feet most of the day. I was having foot pain until I started wearing Brooks years ago. Now I have about 8 pairs that I rotate with.

I use these for work and every day life as I have over pronation and need stability shoes for walking. These combined with custom doctor made inserts nearly stop my feet from rolling. I have been purchasing this shoe for years now and they last nearly a year. The cushioning does not seem to be as good as it used to be, or I would rate it 5 stars.

I love these shoes! I know theyre supposed to be for running, but I use them for Pickleball. Their construction is so sturdy. It really helps with my plantar fasciitis to wear these shoes.
