Brookes Ariel can be magic, OR it can be slow-working torture device. I think Brookes/Ariel have a consistency problem and recommend that anyone try on multiple pairs in the exact same size to make sure you find the great fit. 3/5 years of buying them I have been extremely happy (managing plantar fasciitis with moderate running/walking, custom orthotics), 2/5 years I had very slight pressure around toes that over time gave me ingrown toenail and pain (a kind of splayed toe feeling). They are worth the $$ if you buy exactly the right pair.... don't keep them if you think there is light pressure somewhere that shouldn't be, even if you think it's not too much or will go away with time. The laces have been lengthened, so thanks Brookes for that!

The only shoe with the support I needthe Ariel has kept my knees happy (and me running) for decades. Also feels more comfortable than prior models.

I NEED these shoes because since my Podiatrist prescribed them for me several years ago, my feet are cured. I suffered from plantar fasciitis and tarsal tunnel syndrome. I need a new pair. I don't understand why I can't find them in my size even on your site. Are they being discontinued? I would like them in more neutral colors since I wear them everywhere, work, church... everywhere.

These are the best sneakers/shoes I have ever owned. I had plantar fasciitis in the past and now one foot is flat and I really overpronate. I have been wearing Addictions and Adrenalines and they were OK but I decided to try a pair of these. They are the most comfortable and supportive athletic shoes I have ever owned. Good cushioning and I don't overpronate at all, and that is without custom orthotics. I use it for walking, running, and hiking on smooth trails. Highly recommend.

I've tried other brands and other Brooks styles, but I can only wear the Ariels or i have problems. Never need breaking in. I wish they were less expensive, though. I'm almost 79 and on a tight budget.

I have been wearing arial shoes for many years. I have bad feet and these shoes fit perfectly!!! I am upset/disappointed that the 2E will no longer be made. Any chance Brooks would reconsider would be fantastic!!!!! Again Love this shoe ?

Very stable shoe. I started to use this shoe when I had found out I had a tear in my fascia, behind my toes. This shoe is good because it doesn't overflex where your foot naturally flexes, which is hard and bad for feet like mine with bunions and arthritis in the joints. If you need stability and support, this is a great shoe.

I love the fit and feel. Great combo of stability and cushion. And it's a simple thing but I really like the material of the laces.

This is my 4th pair of the Arial running shoe. I am not a runner but wear these doing high aerobic exercise classes. I have bunions so I need the support and the cushion as well and these shoes deliver both of them. I have been waiting for some new colors but don't want the shoe itself to change. Best shoe ever.

Got these for my daughter who dramatically hyper-pronates when she runs. She reports that has alleviated her leg pain that she was getting from other shoes. able to run harder and longer with these wonderful shoes. Please don't change them.

These are the only shoes I have used for the past couple years. I LOVE THEM. I bought extra pairs to last me a year because they are discontinued. I don?t know what I?m going to do without them.

This is the ONLY shoe that fits me comfortably. I wear size 101/2 (usually) extra wide and it is so hard to find shoes that fit. I SO WISH that you made more of your shoes in that size

The Brooks Ariel '20 - Best fit for my wide width flat feet with bunion. Now Brooks could you PLEASE make these with a little more COLOR or jazzy. That's why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

Brooks Ariel has been my shoe for years. I walk about 3-6 miles per day. I have flat feet and very weak ankles with a history of multiple ankle sprains. This shoe provides the stability and support that my feet need. This shoe also has more cushion than other shoes and weighs more than many other shoes, but for me, the increased cushion is worth the heavier shoe. This shoe is very comfortable.

These shoes have good arch support as well as more than adequate cushioning. The cushioning makes them more comfortable than my New Balance shoes. I need to go up a 1/2 size and unfortunately Zappos is out of my size in the medium width.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance
