Decent shoe but not as fantastic as the Beast '18. Also, why are color choices so limited?

Good, sturdy shoe. Tight fit for wider feet. Not as comfortable as you would expect at this high price.

It was a comfortable shoe but a little on the small size and didn't seem to have as much support as another shoe I tried.

It's okay but the Beast 16 is still the best Beast ever made. The '16 was well balanced throughout the shoe and the cushioning was far superior. the '20 is not as cushioned in the heal and the front of the shoe is not as smooth. The '20 is lighter and the top is of shoe is great so far - I'll see how it holds up..

As someone who has religiously worn beasts for 20 years, I?m not happy about the new design. I like the support of the old beast. The heavier shoe doesn?t bother me. Bring back the old beast.

I like the support by they run very small. I typically wear a size 11 and needed to go up to a 12.5 2E to get the right fit.

Bring back the Beast 18 I purchased 2 pair of them. Beast 20 horrible it's like the Adrenaline 20. I started with Adrenaline back in 2013, then in went to the Beast 18 after major foot surgery. Please bring back the Beast 18

The Beast is a great shoe but really does not fit my foot well. It runs small and because I had to go 1/2 longer for toe room, other portions of the fit are too big. I still wear them a lot but limit that to light walking or normal weekend shopping. The Revel fits me much better and supports me with a good fit on the treadmill and pavement running.

I?m 6? and 200 lbs. 69 years old. I can?t run much anymore but like to walk 5-6 mile daily. I have big feet and common foot issues. My size is 14 2E. I bought the Beast in my size because I wore them several times in the past with no issues. The new pair was too narrow in instep and toe box. I sent them back and ordered 14 2E. They seemed to feel very comfortable. I wore them only in the house for 5 days to make sure. then took them for a spin. I did the same for several more days. My verdict is that they are a tad too wide/loose and the cushioning is too soft. I feel as if I sink down too much when walking or standing. It doesn?t go well with a loose-fitting shoe. The length of the shoe is fine. The mesh material seems to be good but I sure wish that larger shoes had some colors other than black or gray. The 14 2E would never work for me. So, I will work through what I have until it is time to replace them.

These shoes are the best ones I have worn. However, I give them three stars because the mesh around the top fronts always get holes in them, where my big toes are. Although I like these, I won't buy them any more, becasue of the holes in the mesh. They become unwearable after about eight months or so. Really a shame that the company can't do anything about the mesh covering which is probably too thin. This never happened with other walking shoes that I have purchased. It's too bad, because these shoes are very comfortable. Also know that the mesh is not waterproof, your feet will get wet in the rain. Size of shoes are 13 W (2E)

The 2018 version has far superior support compared to the 2020 version. The support in the heel and the arch of the 2020 has noticeable diminished. I'm really disappointed. The style of the 2020 is outstanding, and Brooks has caught up to the times. This is an excellent looking shoe. I only wish the support of the 2018 was carried over to the 2020. I've worn Brooks Beast since 2006, and this is one of their more disappointing versions in terms of support.

I've loved the Beast for at least 8 years, for walking (3-4 miles/day). The new '20 shoe is a disappointment. The sizing has changed: I've always worn a 10.5 before, with plenty of toe room, but now that size is too short. Also the laces used to be a nice stretchy round lace that was very easy to cinch up - the new laces are a lower quality flat lace that is really difficult to use. Also the shoe doesn't feel as supportive. I am really at a loss, since this was the only shoe I found that works for me. I may return it.

I believe if front toe enforcement is not there and height from lace area is increased a little bit, it will be a perfect fit

Ive had beed wearing the Beast 16 for a couple years. So decided to try the Beast 20. The fit slightly smaller and on the whole note quite as comfortable as the 20s I've owned.

They are not as comfortable as the older models. I wish they?d come in more vibrant colors. Kind of get tired of black and gray. But overall not a bad shoe. Just like the older style better, they fit and felt better.

Overall these are great shoes but I ordered a 4W for my son and he wore them for several days because he said they ran very narrow and really hurt his feet. Had to return. Not sure if they were mis marked or just ran very narrow.

Still great shoes, but they do not feel like $160 dollar shoes. My husband has been wearing beasts for several years. The quality has gone completely downhill. They feel very cheap now. I wear brooks and love them but have noticed a decrease in quality as well. If you want to charge brooks prices you should keep up with brooks quality.

I really miss the Beast 18. I have purchased three or four pairs per year since the shoe was first introduced. I only purchase and wear Brooks shoes, specifically the Beast line. I think the Beast 18 was of a more substantial construction. It was more supportive, more durable and more comfortable. I have already purchased three pairs of the Beast 20 for this season but may consider looking for other shoe options in the future which is difficult for me after so many faithful years with the Brooks Beast line. I think the Beast 20 is a lesser quality substitute for the Beast 18 right down to the cheaper shoe laces. Too bad.

Size and width are good, hurts ball of my foot, needs more cushion in fore foot area. Adrenaline gts 21 feel more comfortable to me and are a better choice for me

This model seems to have a shorter lifespan before breaking down support-wise. I?ve been running exclusively (and happily injury-free) in Brooks Beast for over 10 years, replacing them every 400-500 miles. I?m now on my second set of the 2020 model; by 200-300 miles they?re not holding up. As usual, the shoe is comfortable (as long as it lasts), and the toe-box is perfect... but I?ve come to expect more miles for the shoe than I?ve gotten from the last two pair.

These shoes are the most comfortable I have ever owned and very light also, huge improvement over the previous versions of the Beast I have owned. I am not at all happy with the quality, especially at $160 for a pair. Should last for more than a couple months before they start falling apart. The materials used are very fragile compared to previous versions.
