They are ok, not as soft as i thought they would be. They are kind of firm when walking. They fit decently comfortable.

Support is ok. Back is a little short. Bottom, being white, gets dirty quickly. Toe bed is not as roomy. I MUCH prefer the Beast 18.

not as supportive for foot pronation as previous years.

Definite cushion, but hard to keep feet centered in shoe or from sliding forward, even with lots of lace adjustments. Back to ghosts next time.

the quality of this shoe and comfort do not match up from previous pairs i have purchased. I have these shoes for support as i pronate from having flat arches and utilize orthotics. The fabric material is much more pliable than other material and allows my foot to pronate. Perhaps you have a more suitable model. Please advise.

I've been wearing Beasts for decades, and the designs keep changingoften for the worse. Please just keep one really nice classic design! Also, your survey is too long.

Seems to have less support than the beast 18.

I must like them, because I'm on my fifth pair in two years. On the other hand, the first four pair suffered from a split in the fabric near the strings - which in each case came without much wear to the show. I feel like after five pair I'm due a couple of free replacements.

I love the Beast and have been wearing them for decades. But this time I can't give it 5 stars because the sizing seems different. I ordered my usual size and my toes are cramped and burning after long runs. I would strongly recommend getting a fitting and trying on this year's shoe before you buy as, to me, it runs smaller than years past. I'll still be a Beast loyalist but this may be the last time I order without a fitting.

Feels like I'm walking on hard plastic, heel insole still rubs off causing discomfort at the heel. Sliding on tile with shoes , little traction. Going on my 6th pair and I am disappointed. It could be that shoe may be old when sold to me.

The shoe felt heavy on the feet and did not live up to expectations!

Your designers counted up the arch support. It used to be much better. For 15 years the beast has been my cute for plantar fasciitis. Now the arch area is not as rigid and the toe end of the sole breaks down in a couple of weeks. You have so many great running shoes, can't you have just 1 that is targeted at therapeutic needs?

These shoes do you have a great cushion. But I did find the sole rather in flexible. Not a lot of support in the upper part of the shoe, but if you’re only walking around town or running on flat surfaces in them that shouldn’t be a problem. I’m not going to buy them again.

It's a good shoe. Don't get me wrong. But I still feel like it's a step back from previous generation beasts. It doesn't have the weight/support previous generations have. I looks nice, but doesn't feel as quality and I hope that trend reverses down the line.

Maybe it's my changing body, but I found older models of the beast better at controlling my lower back pain.

The beast has been a staple in my closet for over a decade. However, this shoe doesn't live up to my past ones. Specifically, the padding under the ball of my foot feels much thinner and I have already noticed discomfort on both balls of my feet after using for 2 weeks. Typically the support is much better and I don't notice this symptom for months.

Very comfortable but they sure do squeak! I could never sneak up on anyone wearing these. I sure hope it goes away after they break in for a while.

Super comfortable, and the 4E width is as advertised. Ugly shoe design, but that doesn't bother me. I haven't had them long and will be interested to see how they hold up. The price is very high, so I expect them to last at least a year. 3x the cost of what my old sneakers cost. My feet still ache just like they do in other brands.

This is my 5th pain of Brooks Beasts and I am disappointed in the '20. The earlier versions just seemed better constructed. These seemed cheaper from the sides to the toe box.

I can't comment on how these shoes function while running, as I returned them as soon as I tried them on. They felt as if they would be comfortable and supportive, but the heel and instep were just way too sloppy for me (regular width). Because the toe box fit, a narrower width wouldn't have worked, so I had to return them. My rating is based only on the comfort and my best judgement of how they would function if they fit.
