These are fantastic shoes. They look great. I'm not a fan of black shoes, but the white soles make them look nice. They perform as expected; amazing!

I have multiple pairs in black and gray. That speaks to what I think of the shoe. All fit well but buyers might want to know that the gray shoe is consistently a bit wider than the black shoe. If that matters you might want to consider that during your purchase.

Ok, so I'm not really a runner -- I'm old enough that my knees can't handle it anymore, but I do power walking at least 3 miles a day. The Beast '20 is absolutely the most comfortable shoe I've tried, and that includes my venerable (and VERY well used) Beast '16s. The fit is awesome, but I strongly recommend that you follow Brooks sizing advice & order 1/2 size larger than your normal size. I couldn't read the tag on my perfectly fitting 16s, so I guessed a 10. The shoe fit well, but toes are extremely close to the front of the toe box -- great for casual wearing, but not so good for exercise, so I ended up ordering a second pair 1/2 size bigger and they're perfect!

This has been my one and only running shoe since 1990. In the old days I'd go through 2-3 pair a year. Nowadays 1 pair lasts 2-3 years. Great running shoes, saved my knees.

This is my fourth pair and love them and will continue to buy them. However, I feel that the tongue is shorter on the 20 than it was on the 18. I am 71 so it may only impact older folks, but it is more difficult to put the shoe on on because the tongue really slides down as you put your foot into the shoe and it is not that easy to pull it up once your foot is in. This requires a bit more flexibility and effort. This probably is not an issue for younger people but I noticed it.

I am not a runner. i have had both knees and both hips replaced. These shoes are vital for my comfort and support. I am a PE teacher and I average over 20,000 steps a day. The Beast are a must for me.

These are the best pair of shoes I've ever bought. I've had problems with foot pain my whole life but these shoes allow me to get through an 8 hour workday where I'm on my feet the entire time.

I like the Beast 18's better. They are a bit stiffer and give me more support.
The 20's are a bit lighter at the cost of support, IMO.
I have need an EE and both shoes deliver a very comfortable fit.
The 18's are still my go-to.

Decent shoe but not as fantastic as the Beast '18. Also, why are color choices so limited?

Good, sturdy shoe. Tight fit for wider feet. Not as comfortable as you would expect at this high price.

People wear the Beast bc it's basically their only option for stability & width--not bc it's sexy (it's not). Flat-footed low-arch people buy this shoe religiously, without hesitation.
So WHY would you change the formula for less stability & width? If I wanted that, I could buy literally ANY other shoe in existence!! I haven't run in the '20, but tried them on in-store. Right away, I see that the base of the 2e Wide width is actually narrower than my old standard D width '18s. What the heck? On my feet, I immediately felt there was less firmness/support, and less arch support.
It is lighter, which I understand is a benefit on long multi-hour runs. But how many Beast-wearers are marathon runners? And the lightness also feels kinda "cheaper", which I assume is true after reading reviews about the '20s falling apart faster than older versions.

Love this shoe, it is the 3rd one I have ordered. I use them for my 5-7 mile walks with my dogs . They are comfortable and very supportive. I walk 3-5 times a week, so I do wear them out after 9 months or so. I hope they never stop making this one.

I wear a 4E and so the revision to the fit of the Beast 20 from past models didn't work with my feet so regretfully I returned this pair. Beast 14, 16 and 18 have been excellent shoes for me however,
