I have 2 pair of 17s that I alternated every other run (I run about 30 miles a week). They were great- comfortable and durable. I put 400 miles on each pair. I purchased 2 18s this summer. Still running about 30 miles a week. Still running 5 days a week. After about 250 miles on each pair, i need to replace them. The outsole is the least durable shoe I've ever owned. After 100 miles on each, they looked like the 17s after 400. For the price- which went up from the 17, I can't keep running in Brooks. I'll have to go back to Nike Vomeros. And like others have said, they are not anywhere near as cushioned as the 17s. Felt former, no, harder than my 17s or my Ghost 11s. Utterly disappointed.

Ordered these to replace my Glycerin 17s. Wow, this is a totally different shoe. Far less cushion from heal to toe. I need a lot of cushion in the forefoot and this shoe does not deliver at all. Not sure how Brooks can even call this a Glycerin. Very disappointing as I had switched to Glycerin after wearing Adrenaline for many years until they ruined it. Now I'm off to find another brand that does deliver cushioning. Going to take a look at Hoka. I'm returning these.

For the past 15+ years I used another company's shoes and was mostly to greatly satisfied with each pair I owned. However, I decided to make the switch to Brooks as my wife has been such a huge fan and supporter for a number of years so I decided why not and bought a pair last year: the Ghost 11. I was thoroughly impressed and as much as I have enjoyed them decided that I might want a little more comfort and went with the Glycerin 18s. Well that was a huge mistake, and I'm not sure if it's a design flaw or a manufacturing defect but these are the most uncomfortable running shoes I have ever worn. I gave them probably ten times or so running in them before I had to retire them to the back of the closet. I can't even wear these to walk the dog down the street. Literally painful. I even tried several different insoles thinking that might help, but alas, no such luck. Great product with the Ghost 11, not at all on these.

Bought these in June, in August the plastic eyelets at the top holes for the laces have broken through. The soles seem to be exhibiting a lot of wear. My first pair of Brooks were great. Not liking these much.

I so wanted to like the 18 but I just can't. The shoes make me feel like I'm running flat footed , the cushioning on impact feels way less and the overall quality of the shoe build has again seemingly dipped. I say this as a loyal customer since the 11s and through every iteration. The 15 is still the cream of the crop , the 16 ran it close, the 17 felt inferior and the 18 well, truth be told, has drained my confidence in a great great brand . Please take this in the positive spirit it's intended - I want to stay with you guys but come on !!!

My husband ordered these shoes a few weeks ago and they are TERRIBLE. They have a hole in the big toe and look like they are MONTHS not weeks old. Will not order again.

Hate them. Glycerin 17's were great. My feet never hurt. My feet hurt when walking now. I want to return them and get the 17's.

Cant wear them without getting blisters. Far from the quality of the 17s. Sizing is all wrong.

I am very disappointed in the Glycerin 18's. They are stiff and my feet hurt from running in them after just a week. Also they are so plain looking.

I have been wearing Glycerin for years. I completed 6 marathons wearing Glycerin. G18 is uncomfortable -- knees hurt, my ankles hurt... almost as if the cushion is too hard and does not adjust to stride. Honestly, my favorite was Glycerin 13.

I am not sure why Brooks has lowered their quality standards on the Glycerin. The 16 and 17's were way more comfortable then the 18's uniformity I will be returning these. Also what's up with the boring bland colorways, awful.

I have been wearing Glycerins for many years. This is the first time I have been disappointed. I'm not sure how or why, but Brooks took a great product and made it super uncomfortable for me. I have worn the shoes for a week now and my feet have hurt whenever I wear them. I'm going to return these for last years model. Which I think is a much better product. Hopefully the 19 will go back to being the shoe that I love.
