Asics are my favorite. Always comfortable and perfect fit.

Not a nimble shoe, but a good option that can transition from the road to trails.

The shoe has good grip and is flexible. The cushion set up could be better. It's not bad for walking but I would change the insoles to hike or run. It also seems to run a little snug which I like so no complaints from me.

This is my 5 version of the GT 2000 and the third time in a row since I switched from the road to the trail version. The GT 2000 works well for me. I switched to the trail as I do a combination of terrains and didn't want a dedicated trail or road shoe and this crosses over well. The trail has a little more support in the heal and this version has a little less than the prior two. The previous two also had a little rubber rand around the toe that I don't think was necessary. I use the heal locks on my running shoes and the 7 and 8s could stand to have longer laces to accomodate this. I also wasn't as pleased with the color options on this season's version but style isn't as big a factor for me.

I have tried them while running and hicking and they are comfortable. Also the color makes them hard to easily get dirty. I have used them just a couple of weeks, my comment could change in the long term. I'll update if needed.

Tread is not aggressive. Fine for sidewalks. Nice looking shoe, but not a great trail shoe.

Not as good as its predecessor in the fit and finish department. While best suited to dry trails and multi-surface running, it does take a beating pretty well in the mud. The upper lets in quite a bit of dirt and crud as compared to the 7, but it is still a fairly solid shoe.

Fits true to size. Yet very uncomfortable with wearing and walking extended time

They feel pretty much like the version 7 (which was as I hoped). The treads are not designed for trail running; lots of flat surfaces that don't keep traction in the mud, and there is an annoying set of ribs in the middle that pick up rocks. I need to keep needle nose plier by my door to pull out the rocks after each run.

This shoe has good grip and a stiff sole making it good for more technical trails. However, I feel the shoe is a bit clunky. The toe box was big and it feels like there is a lot of stress on the mid-sole. I have high collapsible arches so the issue could be arch support. I was not complete happy with the shoe but not completely unhappy either. That said I would caution against this shoe. Do not buy without trying it on.

I've run exactly 108 miles over 11 runs in these shoes and have had to repeatedly glue the tread back to the heel, or at least the tread that I haven't lost on the trail. I've run them everywhere from Florida pine woods, NC Appalachians, north NM mountains to the CO Rockies so they've seen every type of terrain, but just haven't held up to it. I had a wonderful first impression of these due to how comfortable they are, but it didn't take long to realize they just won't hold up. Wish they were better because they sure are comfy, but I can't recommend them. I hope future models can improve on the tread, but I'll probably be looking elsewhere.

These gave my son sharp foot pain after only 2 hours of use. Strange because he loves the feel of his Gel Kayano's, which he has worn for years. I know the model is different and all feet /users require diff footwear, but it should not had caused such discomfort over a short time!!

The Laces are very hard to adjust. And it looks like their other shoes are similar/
