I usually wear a 5 or 5.5 in American sizes, but a 35 in European sizes. I ordered the 5/5.5 size first even though it was actually size 36 and had to exchange for a 35, which is described as a 4/4.5.

This was an attractive sandal but did not give me the side support I wanted.

The width i got was narrow as i have a narrow foot and the footbed is very narrow, so i will return for regular. They are very cute and i like the style

these are HUGE. i've worn a 39 in birkenstocks forever. these make me wonder if i need to even go down to a 37.

I like the style but once they were on they felt like they wouldn't stay on my foot, not enough strapping maybe (?). It just felt like if I had to run after my kid, the sandal would just fall off my foot. I guess maybe it's a little too flip flop feeling.

These sandals came with "built in" foot and toe marks on the insole. I don't know how the previous wearer did that without scuffing the sole, but I don't want $100 sandals that others have worn. I have worn Birkenstock sandals previously, but the suede on this insole is kind of hairy and cheap looking. I think Zappos needs to improve the QC for returns before reselling items.

Love my Birkenstocks and so glad they are back in style. These were very comfortable. A little more light weight than I remember but overall I was very pleased with my purchase.

The fit is similar to a flip flop but a little more support over the top of the foot. Definitely not like the Arizona. Still a cute feminine sandal with all the support of a birk. The buckle has caused a little soreness on the top of my foot but hoping that my foot will adapt. Still a nice addition to my collection.

I had to buy a few pairs of Birkenstocks, Vionics and Oofos (shoes with great arch support) because of my recent diagnosis of plantar fasciitis. These are comfortable and functional. The brown color looked a bit dull to me but they're still attractive shoes. I'm not a fan of the double strap Birks so I was looking for a pair that was a little more "in the now." The Yao and Madrid styles are my favorites.

The straps dug in a little at the top of the foot. Needed to return. Mayari much more comfortable.

After reading the available reviews, I ordered a 39 Regular (Women's) width. This proved to be too wide, although i suffer with bunions on both feet.Would recommend that purchasers consider the Narrow width instead- unless feet are very wide.The Mocha colour can be described as 'drab', but can pass as a neutral,as it goes with everything. i still kept the item, as I can wear with socks so that the oversize would not be that obvious Very satisfied with the service at Zappos!

I have a narrow foot and ordered narrow. These fit well. My husband is not a fan of the Birkenstock look but said this style with the narrow footbed was more flattering. I kept them, and will probably wear them most of the summer.

The toe at the sole came up too high and interfered with my toes.

I love these shoes! Always a go to over the years for all day comfort.

I have very narrow feet and had to put the buckles on the tightest setting which in turn caused the bucket to dig into the area under my toes. Couldn't walk. Sandal is pretty color, but the buckles clash, creating a cheap look.

Haven't wore them yet, but really a pretty color. I have a narrow foot and these do have a narrow footbed along with adjustable straps. Usually Birkenstocks run very wide. I like them, most likely a keeper.

I love the look of these Birkenstocks, they are a lot more feminine compared to some of the other styles. My only wish is that they came in a regular width as they are a little narrow for my feet.

Once I started walking in these sandals, they were way too front-heavy for my comfort. My gait was actually altered due to the front par being so much heavier.

Since the straps don't go up very far on the foot, these fit more like a flip-flop or a slide than Birkenstocks. If that's what you want, then these are super comfortable. Unfortunately, I want more of a traditional Birkenstock fit, so I'll be returning these.

Only one reason for 3 stars overall: I got these in black and received a defective pair, where the attachment of the straps was spaced very notably differently on the two shoes. Got another black pair and those are fine, love them. Now i ordered and received the brown ones, and here too there is a defect - the buckles on one of the shoes are severely warped, look like they were under immense heat and the metal softened to the point of being bent completely out of shape. About to order another one to see if it will be fine. One trick to note in these cases - do not return anything until you get the new one, so that you don't end up receiving the same one again. I am really a little surprised that these German made wonders are having so many defect issues. This is not the first time that i am prompted to get a second pair of the same with birks. Up to very recently i usually only had issues like this with shoes made in China, but now seems the whole world has dropped the ball on quality. I am hoping that this last incident is a transportational issue, but attachment of straps certainly cannot be. I hope someone from the company reads this and takes note.

I opened the box and instantly loved the shoes! I usually wear a 9 however this 9-9.5 was too long making all the bumps on the soles of the shoes hit the wrong places on my feet. On the up side, the narrow width was perfect. Due to the lack of true half sizes I won’t reorder, I’m afraid one full size down would be too much.

These sandals are hard as a rock. They kill my feet. I hate them. They are cute, but extremely uncomfortable

not liking the fit !

I have a wide foot and wear a size 35 (or US 5) in most other brands (such as Naot, Teva, KEEN), but this sandal in 35 is too long. It is listed as the equivalent of a US 4 but fits me more like a US 6. Many brands are too narrow for my feet, so I was disappointed in Birkenstock's sizing as this is the smallest the brand offers and I liked these sandals otherwise.
