Love love love!
I have tried so many day packs, and wasn't willing to pay any extra for them until now.
I travel for work, and needed something comfortable, but yet large enough for a weekend trip if needed.
A worthy investment if you like a lot of pockets/organization and travel a lot.

If you've got one backpack to rely on, take this one. I use it for both civilian & military purposes, and it serves me well in both capacities. I love the quick-access pouches on the top and I love the fact that I can unzip all the way to see all my contents inside. I didn't think I'd need it, but it's come in handy many times over. I was surprised at how much content I can fit inside too. The length of the internal capacity allowed me to carry more than what I usually need and I always carry extra essentials, just in case. The durability of the materials is unmatched. The shoulder straps are comfortable and I can carry it through the length of my rucks and hikes without my back throwing out. The external side pockets also surprisingly carry my 32-oz Hydr*flask without fail and anything I want to keep for quick access. I don't even use my Fils*n Nylon backpack anymore (the rucksack style prevents me from being able to see the bottom of my pack unless I shine a light).

I recently got the 2DAP as an Urban Pack Substitute for my Rip Ruck 32. Overall design and features are great. I carry around my laptop, EDC Tool Kit, IFAK, Trauma Kit, Change of Clothes, Hydration Vessels, and Tech Kit with no issues whatsoever. Comfortable even at 35lb loads and higher. Definitely I would recommend as an EDC Pack overall.

I bought this pack for a deer hunt that was in treacherous steep terrain. I loaded the pack nearly 100% and it handled it beautifully. I was most impressed by how balanced the pack felt, and even with 60 plus pounds it was a breeze to carry. The pack is super high quality and I will most likely buy another for as a Christmas present for my dad.

Use this for work and hiking and it's been flawless. Build quality is superb and the top zipper pockets are great for holding my wallet, keys, snacks and sunglasses. The only change I'd make is to make the side pockets capable of holding Nalgene bottles. You get what you pay for with this thing - buy nice or buy it twice.

Bought this about a month ago and received it ion the mail after a few weeks. Sizing online was on point, and YouTube video showing how to adjust the bag was a great help. So far been using it as an everyday bag with great success. Holds lunch, PT gear, water, laptop and booboo kit with no issues. The tri-zip is a great way to get at anything in the bag, and the inner mesh pockets help a lot with organization of smaller things. Also took this on a few hikes already and loving it. It holds everything I need for a day hike, and I'm sure I could cram a few days' worth of camping into it if I kept it light. Love the bag so far, just wish it had keepers on the shoulder straps, but aftermarket velcro straps work. At least the ends of all adjustment straps are looped, so it's an easy Quality of Life add-on. My last daybag lasted me 11 years over mountains, desert, jungles, city across 3 continents, so I've got high hopes for this one.

I bought this bag for short car trips (2-3) days. It is proving to be almost exactly what I was looking for. EDC items, plus iPad and clothing for outdoor oriented trips. Will probably buy the 3 day assault for 5 day trips or when more gear is needed. Retiring my 5.11 that just had too many pockets.

I purchased this a month ago after comparing almost every brand that offered a product for everyday use and for a carry on. I wanted something rugged that I could use for multiple purposes. It needed to small enough to use as a carryon to travel with and rugged enough to use for hiking or hunting if needed. I chose the 2 Day pack and used packing cubes for
clothes, toiletries, and extras. I was able to get 2 medium cubes and 2 small ones packed with 1 cube for a pair Hey Dude shoes. I flew to Denver used it as a carry on. The 2 Day compartments on top I placed my phone,
charging cords, ear pods, keys, and snacks.
I used the shoulder straps with ease and was very comfortable. The backpack did everything I needed it for and would recommend it anyone wanting the versatility.
with some extra room still available. The 2 Day pack was full and Inmight could have taken my Ipad pro in the lap top compartme

Due having it few days I'm using it for carrying my laptop and another devices to office and soon I will test it at fields considering the rain cover I got with my backpack :D I just added paracord on zip pullers to add some color to my 2DAP :)

Purchased this from a retailer needing a "go-bag" that I could trust. Like a lot of us, I like to keep a bag ready to go in case of emergencies, natural disasters, etc. and I carry mine quite often when I'm on the road. I haven't had this long enough to tell everyone it will last forever and your days of backpack searching are over. However, I can honestly say, being a gear guy, I'm 100 times for confident in this bag after having it 2 weeks than I ever have been with any other bag EVER. The quality of the workmanship is ridiculously good. My father, being a bit of a Scrooge sometimes, almost threw up when he asked what I paid for it (which I didnt think was unreasonable). We went on a trip
together, and he texted me this morning to say his 2DAP came in today.
Super solid bag - Buy it.

Just getting it broken in but the fit is perfect and adjust-ability is top notch. Really like this unit. It looks great and holds a lot for a small pack.

This pack is an excellent option for Deployment, Backpacking and Trekking. For anyone who just thinks this is strictly an EDC bag is mistaken or didn't pack right. Not to offend anyone. Obviously everyone has their own uses in regards to what a pack should be and fulfill their needs. I have been running the 2 Day Assault for over a year now. It is durable, withstood everything I or mother nature threw at it, packed everything I needed and nothing I didn't. I utilize First Spear Summit Bags in it to keep it well organized, identifiable and packed nicely. Had plenty of room in my top lid to pack in admin stuff, spare M4 magazines, Maps, Petzl Gloves, Cleaning Kit and Boo Boo kit. Main Compartment held a 4S Sleeping Bag, 3S Tent, WWP Jacket, Spare Crye Combat Set, Mid & Base Layerings, Socks, Undergarments, 30ft Static Rope, Climbing Carabiners/Figure 8 1.5L Qore Ice Plate/Water, IFAK, Snacks (Clif, Jerky, Tuna/Salmon Sleeves) and a water filter. Multiple other trinkets, mission based essentials.

I purchased this pack about two years ago, as a paramedic student, and have brought it with me into the field. I use it everyday to carry everything from water and snacks to laptops, books, clothes, and just about anything that will fit into it. The tri-zip opening was something I didn't really see myself needing, but now that I have it I don't think I could live without it. I frequently find myself attempting to locate that once cord or piece of equipment that has migrated to the bottom of the bag and the tri-zip has made all the difference. I sewed a strap with a one hand triple action connector to the top handle and that has made it a dream to hook to the head rest on most vehicles, or a variety of webbing In all sorts of ambulances. I work in a medium sized city and we are seldom light on equipment, and the 2 day assault has held up better than just about anything else. I absolutely love the pack and have recommended it to several friends. The size is just about perfect for my use and I love the oversized compression straps which allow me to strap a variety of bulky jackets to it. The inner compartments also hold a reflective vest perfectly.

Made this my get home bag. It is absolutely perfect. The pockets are good sizes and placed well. Only regret was not getting a 3 day bag as well.

This is the first Mystery Ranch backpack that I have in my possession, and I am totally satisfied with the backpack. I had done an extended amount of research on the Mystery Ranch backpacks, and I could not decide which one to invest in. After a few weeks of deliberating, this 2DAP was given to me as a present, and it has been the best present thus far. The 2DAP has exceeded all of my expectations. I, still in High School, use it mainly as a school backpack. It has taken countless beatings on the daily travels, and it has held up. I usually carry about 2 32L Nalgenes, a computer, several books, notebooks, folders and more. I have more than enough space for ll of my school items, and there is still room for more. The sharp edges of the binders have yet to cause any wear on the bottom or sides of the bag, and the zippers have beautifully broken in due to the daily opening and closing. the computer sleeve comes in great handy, and the two pockets on the lid are unbeatable. They offer quick access to many misc things, and expanded more than they seem to hold.
What really sold me on this bag was when I took it to Big Bend Nat'l Park, on a small backpacking trip. Although it is not meant for it, the bag held up over the 3 day hike, and it carried the load perfectly. This revealed to me the possible versatility of this bag and how proficient it is in many ways. Overall, I do recommend.

Ever since I became a backpack junkie I've been constantly on the fence of getting into MR bags, had been hearing quite a few interesting stories about their packs and bags and I'm finally here. The 2-DAP is the first ever MR bag I've bought in my life and so far I'm genuinely satisfied with the overall design and build quality. Even with the manufacturing of this particular bag being outsourced to overseas, it's still really well-built and totally up MR standards.
The main and the only compartment is quite spacious, the Tri-zip design makes accessing it a real breeze and there's definitely enough zip pockets for loose or small items. The laptop sleeve is a neat addition to this bag for more EDC-oriented utility but so far I've yet to put one in there, it looks rather thinly padded but should be adequate as long as you avoid dropping the bag or tossing it around when there's a Lappy in there. The adjustable Futura frame and yoke shoulder straps are highly ergonomic and makes the bag super comfortable to carry on my back all day long. All things considered this is the best feature I've found on this bag. For me nothing else on a backpack matters more than weight distribution and MR did an excellent job with their ingenious design.
My only complaints are the carry handle which is just a simple nylon strap sewn into the bag and that there's no way to tidy up the excess straps which is scattered all over this bag. The former hasn't been much of an issue for me as the strap for the carry handle is firmly sewn in place and doesn't feel like it's gonna break off any time soon with my current 5-ish kg load. The latter bothered me a lot but it's actually a pretty quick fix with any type of strap keeper you can find, though I still wish MR could make those come with the bag since they're quite cheap and shouldn't jack up the overall price as much.
Although it's advertised as an EDC bag, it's actually rugged enough for outdoor use, which is one of the reasons I picked it up. I'm planning on using it as my primary all-around backpack for school, travel and a wide range of outdoor activities. The 2-DAP so far have been performing admirably for me and hopefully it'll still be going strong for the rest of the time when I need it. MR has truly blown me away with the 2-DAP and now I'm eager to give a shot at their other bags such as the 3-DAP I'm currently saving up for.
All in all, I highly recommend the 2-DAP for both EDC and outdoor use. In reality it's far more versatile than what MR advertises it for.
