This is one of my favorite MR Packs. The only thing missing from this is padded hip belt. It would be perfect if it had a removable padded hip belt like the scree 32. I mainly use this on my motorcycle transporting tools and lunch to work and back. Would like to use for day hikes, but with lack of padded hip belt, I don't feel this would work well for that.

THis backpack is definitely a change for what is offered on the market I love it. It officially my travel backpack. It has pockets and compartments in the right areas the l/do isn't even that big as you would expect it's the length of my north ace recon but somehow offers more space and compartments. I live this bag it's one of a kind I recommend buying it I might buy the bigger version of this one I think it's the 3 day assault.

I bought this a month ago and have been putting it through its paces as a everyday carry/head for the hills bag. Lots of room and easy access to the interior via the quick open 3 way zip. Great in between bag to compliment my full frame pack.

Purchased just over a month ago and has been an excellent pack. Most used has been for lunch break gym visits and easily hold shoes, shorts, shirt, hooded sweatshirt, travel kit, and towel. Plenty of room for all of this. Have not had opportunity to wear on any hikes yet but know it will work great.

I've been using it for a few weeks now. I think the bag lives up to its expectations. It seems well made, and the pockets/layout work well for what I needed.

I bought this pack about 3 weeks ago and it's made my life easier. I use this bag for work as my hotel bag carrying all my miscellaneous work items and it can hold a lot. The inside storage compartments are huge and the compression straps really help to make the pack more compact. Anyone looking for an amazingly made pack should get one today.

Long time 3 day user but spending more time on a computer than in the field. Best of both worlds here. Highly recommend.

I grabbed this bag in forest green for a trip to the Smokies. Used it over two weeks on several day hikes and fishing outings. Love the bag. Lots of space to hold what you need for a short outing. The webpage markets it more as an urban/EDC bag, but it worked well in the mountains too. Computer sleeve doubles as a good spot for a hydration bladder and the zipper pocket allows for easy pass through of the hose. I didn't load the bag down super heavy, although there's room for it, but I wish the waist strap was a little beefier. It's good for retention, but not to really support much load. I look forward to continuing to use this bag.

I'm a huge fan of the adjustable shoulder harness and the breathable back panel. Great load distribution and very easy to access. Think I found a winner

I have had this for about a year now. Never had one problem with it. Definitely holds up against any issue when it comes to taking it up to the mountains or my everyday commute. It can hold really anything I put in it and great drink holders on the side. Love the plate they put in the back of the backpack to help it fit better. Definitely my favorite backpack. I'm a life long customer. Thanks mystery ranch for you amazing designs and products. Of course your hard work as well.

I'm using my 2DAP to securely carry a sandbag and a hydration bottle. Yesterday's ruck was 41.6 pounds. This Wednesday it will be 45 pounds and we will see. Not going to push the bag beyond that.

Traveled with this pack a few times for business and took it on a few hikes. So far my favorite pack and my third Mystery Ranch bag; can't beat the quality and design. Side pouches fit a nalgene or hydrflask. I like the easy side access to my laptop.

Here's pictures of the bag completely flipped inside out. Tape measure is to show estimates of pocket depth or features that aren't made obvious like the space behind the 2 side mesh pockets or the elastic bands on either side of the laptop/water storage area.

I purchased this bag a few months ago and had been waiting to write my review. This bag IS AWESOME! It quickly became my favorite bag. I purchased the MR 2DAP to replace my issued assault pack. I recently used the pack on a long hike, as my carry on bag for overseas travel, and am using it as an EDC for work. I'm confident the bag will take all the future abuse while in the field. I purchased the MR Rip Zip Pockets and the removable Stick-it to add storage capacity to my 2DAP. The only recommendation I have to MR is to make the top compression straps about two inches longer so that they can be used around the Rip Zip Pockets when they are loaded.

I've been using this pack daily as a student for the last 6 months and can without a doubt say that it the best bag I have ever used. The straps hold 10+ lbs easily and the bags inside are great for holding any tools you might need. The zip down front is an amazing feature and allows easy access to anything in the bag no matter how lost it is. This bag is an absolute no brainer for anyone who has to travel or needs to carry large amounts of gear for a sustained period of time.

I've only had it a month, but first impressions are good - overall good quality and access to laptop storage and other areas is nice. Proper size for day-to-day use/overnight bag.

I'm excited to put this bag through the wringer. It came just in time to travel to Hawaii with and get a few hikes in, of which were in the pouring rain. The bag fits like a dream and is super easy to pack. High quality materials and stitching. I'm already looking at ordering a Terraframe 50 for longer backpacking trips. I'm a Mystery Ranch convert for life at this point.

My 12 year old wanted a new pack for school as well as something to use in the woods for hiking. I took him to the store to try some packs on and he gravitated towards MR stuff. I'm a MR fan and was pleased when he settled on the 2 day assault pack. He wants to carry it everywhere now, including hockey practice and boxing lessons. It's the perfect pack for him, and he will be traveling with it in a couple months on a Florida vacation. I'm saving up for a Scree 32 myself, so I guess it runs in the family

Just got this backpack and have only used it for a couple days. But I'm loving it so far. The frame on it makes the weight feel really well distributed. The quality looks and feels amazing. Very satisfied so far!

Bought this for frequent short trips. It is typical great quality from Mystery Ranch. I wish it had a quick detach waist belt but the strapping is easy enough. Overall the bag is very comfortable and has a lot of adjustment

I bought this bag about a month ago. The first thing I noticed was how light it was for such a robust backpack. Simple to adjust and super comfortable, this backpack has replaced 4 others! I have used it for skiing, daily carry for work, tattooing on the go, and have it packed for an international trip I'm about to take( this will be my carry on.

I bought this pack prior to travelling to Sint Maarten and Saba at the front end of 2020 (right before the great reset) and it was my primary luggage for 10 days. I did also take a small duffle bag but in reality I could have done without it. The configuration and organization of the pockets on the top flap are solid, the ability to se throught he mesh with the lid up is useful but not essential, I was worried about the durability of the mesh initially, but that has proven to be unfounded. I also greatly appreciate the ability to access the laptop/tablet sleeve without opening the pack while also keeping whatever is stored in that pocket secure. I have since transitioned this pack to my vehicle essentials bag, primarily due to its compact form factor while still being capable of storing everything that I might need for emergencies or an unexpected overnight while still fitting under the rear seat of my pickup - the black helps to conceal from casual glances into the vehicle as it blends well with the flooring. If I had one complaint it would be that the side "water bottle" (yeah, sure...) pockets are too shallow - twice the depth would not be detrimental to the overall size of the pack but would actually be usable as bottle pockets or to store other things without them falling/bouncing out unexpectedly - OK, actually expectedly. Make that one small change and I'd happily spring for another one!!! blake

Solid quality, wish it had a bit more internal organization, but solid pack. It's on the big end to use as an EDC, but I got it to also use for travel.
