I love these shoes. I fractured my foot in the spring and these were recommended by my doctor. I have been wearing them almost everyday. I am a nurse so I am on my feet for 12 hours a day. These are the first shoes I have found that don't make my feet hurt.

I'm a health-care worker and these are the best shoes I've ever owned! I work 12 hour shifts and my feet are never tired when I get home. They are comfortable all throughout my shift, and very stylish too. I'm always getting compliments on them. I'm so glad I discovered these!

I have early hallux rigidus (arthritis in big toe) and these are so great for it. Supportive yet cushy and plenty of room on the toe box. Only bad thing is the laces are slippery, so definitely have to double knot.

After trying multiple other Brooks and Nike running shoes, I finally found these and they are everything I could want for long distance running! They provide an adequate amount of cushioning without being too marshmallow-like, allow for the perfect foot landing, and boast a wide box toe for comfort. I have narrow feet and love the extra room for grip and avoiding any rubbing. I have been using these for 6 months to train and run a half marathon and they have held up amazingly with only minimal ware where my feet hit. Thank you, Altra for a great shoe!!! Will definitely be buying more!

I love the box toe, my toes aren't crowed. I always go for the extra padding for my foot, this shoe has amazing padding. The anti gravity heal is very good for my bad knees, I have worn them as my everyday shoe for about 5 yrs now and as long as they stay as comfy as they are I will continue to wear them.

I LOVE these shoes! They are the most comfortable walking/running shoes I have ever owned. I've spent a lot of money on shoes that were ok; these are absolutely great! In fact, I'm ordering another pair to have before my current ones wear out. I don't want to go a day w/out them! I usually wear a 9 1/2 in running shoes and the 9 1/2 fits me perfectly. The toe bed is not pointy/narrow which makes it extremely comfortable.

Had three pair of these shoes. They are the best shoes to walk in and if you have back problems they have great support and relieves pressure on back. Great shoes for a great price. Would recommend these over the many tennis shoes bought in the past.

This is my 2nd pair of Altra Torin's. I have read some feed back on Altra's website that they have made some changes to the shoe where people have complained about the changes made in the last 4 months or so are not good. I can see and feel the changes as well that people have mentioned but I don't feel them as a bad thing. I love the way the shoe fits and feels. I will continue to purchase the shoe. Love them.

This is the best pair of Altra Torin compared to the Torin 3.5. For me, this shoe was very comfortable on the first run. I like the padded tongue and the lacing system. The upper engineered mesh is much better than the knit upper of the 3.5 . The Torin 4 shoe is more fitted than the 3.5 which works well for me. I like the wide toe box Altra is known for, which this model has. This shoe was not as clunky feeling as the 3.5 . My runs are on paved roads. I hope the outsole on the Torin 4 is more durable than the 3.5. Altra did an excellent job with this model. I hope they continue the Torin 4. Every person has a different preference and foot size. Overall, I like really like the shoe.

I have bunionettes, which are bunions that are under my little toe instead of my big toe. Basically, the ball of my foot is the widest part of my foot and finding comfortable shoes is a nightmare. THANK YOU Altra for making shoes with a wide toe box that actually fit my feet!!!! I tried several styles of Altra running shoes, and the Torin is the best fit for my foot. I am recommending Altra to all of my friends, even those without foot problems. Please continue to make excellent footwear! I'd love to see more hiking boots & work boots added to the collection.

These shoes are amazing! They have just the right amount of cushion without being too heavy or making my feet feel weighed down. The toe box is huge, which is exactly what I was hoping for. I am a convert!

I always order a size nine in Brooks and New Balance shoes, but in the Torin 4 I ordered a half a size smaller. I loved the wide toe box, the way the shoe hugged my heel and of course the black color with the pop of green! However, the tongue of the shoe is not free flowing. It is attached to the inner sides of the shoe to keep it in place. This is a great feature for stability, but I have high arches so after walking around for a few minutes it was too tight on the top of my foot. If you don't have super high arches this would be a great shoe for you.

This is by far my favorite pair of Torins. I've had 2 previous styles, and although the others were very comfortable, I thought they were very unattractive, and the bottom soul were soft rubber and wore out way too quickly. This newest pair(I have purple/gray) look more like "normal" shoes, and the rubber bottom is firm and does not wear down nearly as much. I use these shoes for walking, about 4 miles each day. I have a bunion and neuroma, and neither one bothers me when I walk in these shoes. I was fitted in a running store with my first pair, and it was recommended that I go up a full size. Please don't change anything, I want to continue buying/wearing them.

I really liked these shoes initially. I am a supernator so I needed a shoe to help that and reviews said this shoe was great for that. I did love the deep heel, it really stretches your calf but the shoe isn't very supportive and it rolled my foot too much causing a lot of ankle, foot and toe issues. After a month of wearing them, my doctor said to find a more supportive shoe with firmer foot bed.

I literally don't want to take these Torin 4's off of my feet. I have never had a shoe that fit so well (I have tried many different brands of shoe). I have been a runner for about 6 years, and a very active person for many more. Over the last 2 years, I developed a toe condition which caused me to have to stop all impact activities. It's not possible to tell 100% that it was from my toes being squeezed into shoes, but it was likely that was the reason. I had surgery a month ago, but needed new shoes for when I got out of the surgical boot, so I did some research and ended up with a pair of Torin 4's, due to the roomy toe area. This is my first pair of Altras. I have been wearing them around the clock, because I'm not able to walk barefoot yet. I'm honesty obsessed with these shoes. I've always struggled to find shoes that fit really well in ankle, but are wide enough in the toe. No brand can compare to how roomy the toe box is (without feeling too wide) and how well the Fit for Her fits a woman's foot. The upper is comfortable, breathable, and flexible. The tongue of the shoe stays secured down. The amount of cushion is perfect for an every day shoe, and just what I would want for short runs. I didn't feel like I even had to break them in, they were comfortable from the start. I love them so much I also purchased a second pair of Torin 4 , Altra Lone Peak hiking shoes for myself and my husband, and the Solstice XT for cross training, for when I'm up and at it again. I am completely starting over with my shoe wardrobe due to this surgery, and could not be happier that I found Altras, especially the Torin 4 (I will be purchasing another when the gray comes back in stock in my size). I wish I would've started wearing them years earlier and possibly prevented the problem from happening. Please do not ever stop making this shoe!

I love this shoe. I'm currently on my second pair and am marathon training. It's very comfortable, lets my arches and toes spread properly, and I have not noticed much wear on the first pair that I ran 450 miles in total before switching to my current pair. It fits well and the only thing I would ask for in the next model is maybe a more supportive feel around the arches. I do feel supported, however, maybe a more firm or secure feel in the shoe and/or better traction on the bottom. I'm interested to see what the Torin 4.5 could be like. I just saw the plush 4.5 version was released and I'm interested to try that pair too. Overall, this shoe is great! I feel confident about running a marathon in them.

These Torin are closer to the old school fit and feel, and I'm so glad they're back. This version is the closest to the 2.0 and 2.5 so far - and that was my favorite iteration. They're great as a pavement pounder, and work great at a protest and standing still on your feet for a long period of time. Your feet will have plenty of room to breathe while smashing white supremacy or standing in solidarity.

Altra, Thank You for creating a shoe that is so far working for me. They are comfortable, and just may end up being my all time favorite shoe. I am so glad that I found you. This shoe has me excited to get out and run again.

I wish I had a chance to run in this shoe, but I broke my foot the day after they came in the mail. I had a chance to walk around in them, though, and as always was excited about the width of the shoe. I have a pretty high volume foot, and this shoe might've been ok but it would've been tight. The top was lower than I was hoping for. I have the altra lone peaks for trail running and love them, and the 6.5 seemed like it was slightly smaller on these guys than on the loan peaks. Overall, I'm returning them, but I really wish I could've given them a shot. They seem like they would've been a smooth ride, if a little snug. RIP to my left foot.

My podiatrist recommended these for my bunion. These are comfortable and I was able to put 10 miles in them in first two days with no pain. I did add arch support for my plantar fasciitis, but that was easy to do. I will buy these again.
