I am a standard size 8 in a running shoe like Hoka Clifton 6, Biondi or Gaviota. Lately in Brooks & ASICs I’ve been 8.5. In the Altra Torin 4 size 8 is perfect! It took me 5 tries to find the perfect shoe with the perfect fit and these are it! I love that the toe box is foot-shaped. It’s nice & roomy without being too wide. It’s a zero drop shoe which is great for hills. My toes don’t jam into the front running down steep hills. Perfect amount of cushion & stability. Hokas were too squishy and a bigger platform than I need. The Altra is the perfect height of platform. Enough that I don’t feel the pavement but not so much I’m bouncing around & scuffing my foot due to the height of the platform. My only complaint is that the laces are too skinny & too long, but I double knot & get over it. These shoes are great!

I have worn Torin for 5 years. Each year I purchase the current style. The shoe fit was fine and it was cut a bit narrow which makes the Torn 4 the best fit for me. BUT THE SHOE WAS DELIVERED DEFECTIVE. The right shoe lace was twisted, tangled and was impossible to straight. I returned and if I could get a guarente from Zappo that I would not get another defective shoe I would reorder...otherwise I will look for an retail where I can inspect for damage.

The toe box in these shoes are a dream come true for those of us who need extra room to accommodate a foot injury. In my case, Morton's Neuroma and posterior tibial tendonitis force me to have a critical eye when it comes to footwear and these fit the bill. I like that these shoes have enough room in the mid-foot vertical section however there's not enough arch support for my liking. The black and teal color combo make this a very attractive shoe and I found the fit to be TTS.

I have worn Provisions for years, but the newer models seem to be over-correcting my pronation and causing wear on the outer part of the shoe, and pain on the outside of my foot. So I tried Torin because it was neutral, but I did not like the fit compared to Provision. Felt too narrow. Trying Paradigm now, which is a little more cushion than the Provision, but struggling with the fit ... one size is just a hair small and half size up is slipping on one heel :( I know a lot of people who love Torin ... just wasn't a good match for me.

I think the shoes shipped to me were possibly defective. They were extremely short and narrow. It felt like a full size smaller. I compared the length of these shoes with another pair of Altra shoes and they were indeed shorter. The idea of the shoes felt nice but I wasn't able to fully enjoy the shoes as they didn't fit.

The fit is similar to described but I typically wear a 9 and I got an 8.5 and they are still a tiny too big. There are two problem. The laces are crazy long!! Also the shoes have a loud embarrassing squeak with each step.

The idea of these shoes and what they could provide is a great idea. They just didn't work for my feet. It felt like the shoes were a half size too large. There is little to no arch support for my feet. And it felt like the lack of our support was making my feet roll inward. It also felt like the heel was too tall for my feet. I noticed that he'll was rubbing at the bottom of my achilles tendon and causing uncomfortable friction. Overall the design is really good but there are just a few things that could make it a lot more comfortable.

Loved these shoes. However, when walking around the house after a couple of hours, the back of the shoe was rubbing against my ankle and making it sore. I have small feet and love the ankle support, but it was to high for my foot. Sorry to have to return them.

I have the Torin 4 & Timp 2. Both have allowed me to walk on the treadmill again pain free. I had a big toe fusion and these are the first athletic shoes that work for me. I could use a wider width for the foot that had surgery, but the Torin has a soft upper that gives a little stretch (size 7.5), The Timp is stiffer, so it can be a little snug around the ball of my foot (size 8.0). Both shoes have stiff soles, which my surgeon recommended for me to look for. (Shouldn't be able to hold the shoe and bend it.) Plenty of room in the toe box. And as my 30 yr old daughter said, the Torin looks like a regular athletic shoe, not an orthopedic shoe. The zero heal/toe drop is a must for me and both these shoes deliver. Well worth their price.

For my narrow foot but need of a wide toe shoes or box toe it is helpful. My bunions force second toe into end of shoes. This shoe makes it feel ok bc it gives me room and fits my narrow foot. I’m sorry they won’t be making the very same shoe in the future

It was perfect for me. I need a little larger width in the toe box, so it is the perfect shoe for me plus the extra cushion.

I didn't even have to break these in... AMAZING. This is my second pair of Torins and they are a lifesaver for me. I don't have wide feet but I do have baby bunions. These shoes are fantastic, comfortable, flexible, and I'm so glad someone suggested them to me. I love the plum/coral, too.

I love these shoes, the width of the toe box allows for comfort in running long distances. The cushion at the ball of the foot gives the right amount of extra padding I need for road and track running.

I have broken both ankles (exterior roll) in the last two years while walking so I decided to try Zero Technology. Immediately loved this shoe. I have a very narrow heel but also hate my toes being smashed up. It finally felt like I was finally wearing shoes made for a woman's foot. The shoes lasted me 9 months and then the fabric on the back of the heel tearing and breaking down. At first I was disappointed, thinking they should have lasted a year, but the truth is my walks are the only time out of the house during this pandemic and I've walked every single day, longer distances, so 9 months probably wasn't too bad. Then the next day the dreaded happen: I fell again. Guess what, no broken ankle. Thank you Torin Plush! I bought these shoes again and just got the news ones, same great fit. I also ordered the torin 4.5 plush, which I have to say is a much more attractive shoe, but my heel slipped in them, and I got a blister on the two times I wore them, so I've returned those and sticking with the 4.0

These are the only shoes that have ever worked perfectly for me! I have bunions on both feet so the wide toe box is amazing. Seriously these shoes are life changers for me.

Sure they look a little weird (hello wide toe box) but once you get over that - you will love these! They are so comfortable and the wide toe box and the zero drop feature has made Altras the only running shoes for me. LOVE THEM!

I'm a 60+ yo woman with terrible feet, no fat pads left on my feet, bunions, hammer toes. etc. I also have narrow heels & a wide toe area. My feet were always hurting, especially my toes. These shoes are like walking barefoot on clouds! I wore the Timps in the past. They were a huge improvement over my past sneakers but they were not padded enough for my needs. The sales person suggested the Torin & I haven't looked back! Absolutely love them & my feet hardly hurt any more. Now Altra needs to come up with an insulated boot version for winter!

These are my favorite running shoes. I run up to 25km per session and these hold up great. They feel a bit narrower than the 3.5's on the front of my feet but not as narrow as the newer plush models.
