I looked at this backpack for about six weeks before I went and purchased it locally. The structure and the wide mouth are what initially sold me on it, but the padded backpack straps, top-carry handles, and side pockets sealed the deal.
My work and personal items are happy together in this bag. It will work beautifully as a personal item when I fly, yet I will use it every day for work.
The material and stitching seem like they'll hold up very well (as have all my Bagallini products). My only complaint regards the texture of the fabric. I suppose the raincoat feel will protect my laptop, but I sure wish the olive or stone textured material from the All Day backpack were options for the Soho. I nearly went with the All Day instead just because of the color and texture options, but the structure and size of this one won out.

This is a great backpack. I'm transitioning from a tote for travel to a backpack and this is light, compact, has great organizational compartments, and fits my suitcase, and style, perfectly!

I have been looking for a backpack like this for a long time. I wanted something that would hold my computer and be separate from everything else so it wouldn't slide around and move so much in the bag but not be in a separate zippered part. This bag will hold a 15.5 inch laptop (I tired it with an older thick Dell laptop we had at work) but it is a tight squeeze to zipper the top. It can be done but I am glad that I have a 13 inch laptop instead. The laptop section fits my macbook air, my ipad, and a 1 subject notebook and there is still room for other things in the bigger portion of the bag. The front pocket can hold all of my computer cables and accessories and I am an accessory fiend. I also like that there is a slip pocket by the pen and credit card pockets to slip my iphone XR into and it's not too tight to get my phone in or out. While I didn't think I would use the backpack straps that often, I actually use it every day and this bag is very light weight, even with all of my stuff in it. The only issue that I have with this bag is the zipper. It is plastic and sometimes acts like it doesn't want to zip up and the very beginning. I just try to make sure I gently and slowly zip it up so I won't break it since I want this bag to last a long time.

I've been using this bag daily since receiving it. It holds so much stuff and has been great for a new work bag which is what I got it for. It hold my 15" laptop as well as many notebooks and other documents. Plus i love the side pockets that are easily to access when wearing the bag. I use one for a water bottle and one for an umbrella when needed. The bag is super sleek and stylish and i've gotten several compliments on it as well.

I love this backpack! It's very lightweight; it's big enough but not too big; and it stands up by itself.

I bought this bag a couple weeks ago. I've been looking for a backpack that would fit over a suitcase handle and that wasn't too deep. I love how it sits upright on the floor and allows you to open fully to see what's inside.

I recently bought this bag because I work hybrid now and I needed something that had more organizational pockets and was easy to pack and unpack. I love the opening on this bag and all the pockets. All the items I need to take to the office fit well and I can find them easily wherever I am working. It looks professional but also sleek and fun.

This is a beautiful pack. Very classy; color goes with everything. Opens up wide to get things out of the bottom easily. It is a very stiff pack and, unfortunately, too small for my needs, so I sadly returned it. It is, however, well made and organized.

I bought this 2 weeks ago for a vacation.. I used as a carryon I absolutely LOVE the easy access to the main storage space. That plus all the great zippers and padded compartments that side and out, makes sunglasses, iPad, credit cards and cash an organized WIN.

Ive purchased this bag a few times in the past 6 years (different colors, etc). I thought this school year (Im a school administrator) I would change it up and not use a backpack. It didnt last too long before I missed my Soho backpack. I even tried a backpack by another brand - not even close! The Soho backpack has all the necessary pockets that I need for pens, computer, computer accessories, personal items, books, water bottle, etc. The main opening stays open for me to easily grab what I need as I move around from place to place. Oh, did I mention I went back to my dependable Soho backpack! You wont be disappointed; get one now!!!

I bought one of these bags several months ago and my husband declared it is the best bag! So I had to buy another one so we both have one! The size is great although on the small side, but great for under an airline seat. It also has a nice sleeve to slide onto your other luggage. The top opening is nice and wide and the zippers are nice quality. Love all the compartments, space for water bottles and last minute pocket on the outside. Highly recommend!!

This backpack is perfect! Best features: pop-style zipper opening, good storage inside, excellent exterior pocket store, and TWO pockets that handle a water bottle and/or glass cases.

I have owned mine for over a year now and it is my go-to backpack and has held up exceptionally well. I especially like the large opening on the top. It The only issue I have had is that one of the zippers consistently sticks and has to be aligned just right to work. I REALLY wish they would make a smaller version of this backpack with the padded straps (and a zipper pocket on the back would be a nice bonus) that could be used as an everyday purse. All the smaller versions have plain straps which can become uncomfortable when wearing all day.

This bag is so well thought out, with the exception of the zipper that runs along the top. It broke on my very first trip. I am heartbroken! This bag needs a metal zipper, not a flimsy nylon one to its main compartment.
I purchased this on March 29th, to use on our trip to Hawaii. On our flight out the zipper failed. It will still zip on the second side, but for $130.00 I cannot recommend that anyone purchase it.
My hope is that Baggallini reviews my review and they offer me a replacement. This bag is so well designed, minus that top zipper.

My Soho Backpack arrived today.
Over the years, I have had multiple cross-body bags from Baggalini and other companies.
I just moved my items from my older cross-body and my belongings are more organized!
I now have room to carry a water bottle in a nice deep sleeve!
I am 64 with some walking and balance issues.
I decided to try using a small backpack and balance my belongings.
I tried the Soho Backpack on with my winter coat--the straps are long enough!
I am pleased with that part.
I walked out of the gym building last week and saw a lady with a navy blue backpack...and the silver "baggallini" label on the back!
I should have stopped and asked her what she thought of it.
I was very happy to find it on the website and read all the details.
While I do not carry a laptop, I will use that pocket for my zipper folder of medical papers I keep with me for emergencies.
I want to thank "Eker" who titled her review as VERY CUTE BACKPACK WITH TWO FLAWS. (1.) I agree about the outer zipper that does not close completely! Yes, a good downpour will cause a leak for sure! The company should have fixed that one!!!
(2.) I agree that the snap fixture keeps the two handles together should be able to move aside. Yes, it will get in the way!
I am already missing the long strap to attach my car keys!
I thought that was always added to a baggallini bag!
I will give my Soho a try and see how she does.
Someone mentioned the "pleather" handles came apart for her in the review.
I will watch out for that one, too!
Thank you ladies for all your comments and for helping me to find a new backpack to use as my everyday purse!

This bag was my daily work bag for months. I loved it right up until I had to take it outside in heavy rain. The front pocket is adorable, but the raised extra fabric that minimizes the visual impact of the zipper also collects water on top of the zipper, which lets the water run straight into the pocket and onto whatever you might have stowed there. Because of the way the fabric sits, that zipper doesn't quite shut completely either. I was outside in rain for maybe 10 minutes total. So much water got into the outside bottom pocket that it seeped into the main compartment too. I needed to take everything out of the bag and let it dry for two days before I could use it again, at which point I bought a bag from a different company that promises to be designed for the rain.
The top carry handles are comfortable, but the little snap to strap them together is sewn on and makes them uncomfortable to carry even when it is unsnapped. Other similar style bags (I have two) have a snap closure strap that slides over to one side when you are not using it. I removed the little snap strap and now it is very comfortable to carry, provided it is not raining of course!
I love the way this bag looks. I love the way this bag is organized. The size is perfect for a small daily commute bag, and the frame top is perfect. This has kept me from tossing it after the rain incident: it is now my at-home bag for my laptop to take it from room to room in my dry house. It is perfect for that, but it could be so much more!
