Love these boots! Super comfy- lightweight, yet sturdy. Good height. Insole comes out for easy use with orthotics (though the insole is quite comfortable if you don’t have feet issues.) I didn’t realize they were waterproof and was excited to test out the weatherproofing. They’ve held up well and still look new after several hikes in mud and snow. They are also just super cute.

These shoes are super comfortable and cute. I didn't realize that they are waterproof and was happy to find that out. I wear them with my own insoles, so I'm happy that the insoles that come with them are removeable. I'm sure I'll be wearing these boots for years to come.

I initially struggled with the sizing, ordered a size 9 and then a 9 1/2 to compare. I have a wide foot, but based off a reviews thought they may work out. The 9 was great, without a sock. With a sock, too tight in the toe box. Size 9 1/2 with a sock felt good, but, their seemed to be extra room in the top of the boot, where the laces meet and just too much room over all. So, I settled on the 9's. Super soft interior, awesome sole, no breaking in needed and the style is classic. The suede is a pretty shade too.

Great looking boot and extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, felt a half size larger so I had to send it back. I'm between a 9/9.5 and the 9.5 was just too large, even with thick socks. I'm worried sizing down to a 9 will fit too snug with thick socks.

These are great for hiking! Look cute with leggings and shorts and are comfortable.

No crunching. Yahoo. 7.5 fit like a 7.5 to me, with enough room for heavy socks if I choose. A very flexible shoe, with a roomy toe box which I like, but some, with a narrow foot, may prefer a snugger fit. My concern would be that I could slip around in the toe box, but because the shoe comes above the ankle and is tied well over the arch, the heel is held in the heel cup very well and I would not expect any slipping around in the front of the shoe with a steep climb. They are so comfortable and make my feet happy to walk in them. I am pleased with this purchase. Taking them to Alberta Canada to break them in right.

I wear a 40N Birkenstock and the 9 fits perfect. I would recommend these boots. I wore them a couple of times for a few hours each and then wore them all day. My feet did not get tired and they did not rub anywhere on my feet. I am very happy with this purchase

Super comfy and fits perfect- I am a 9 and normally size up for boots but these are a perfect fit for me at a size 9. I wore these on a several mile hike yesterday and I barely remembered I was wearing shoes! Today I have no pain in my feet and no time was needed to adjust. They were so soft and springy with great support- I have a feeling these will be my favorite hiking boots :)

Best hiking shoes

Love these boots. Very comfortable and I love the style. I have serious back problems and I needed more support than just my athletic shoes to walk my dog. We go for long walks in areas that are more like hiking trails. The first time I put them on they fit like a glove and worked beautifully. I ordered my regular size - I wear a size 9.

This is my second pair of Danner boots. I absolutely love them! They keep my feet warm, comfortable and that’s saying a lot as I suffer from major foot issues!

The Danner 4in. chukka boot fit perfect as soon as I slipped my foot into it. I had on a moderate weight sock and it was very comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box also. Weather getting cooler, leaves are falling perfect boot for hiking. Try a pair enjoy every step you take.

These fit like a glove right out of the box. They are comfy. I haven’t used them for hiking or long walks yet due to the Missouri summer temps! I’m looking forward to cooler weather.

They were out of my usual 8.5 size, got the 9: a little extra room but they fit fine. Lovely plum color and all day comfortable, but haven't tried them on the trail yet.

These boots are well made and attractive. The foot bed is very comfortable. I have high arches and unfortunately the collar hit my slim ankles in an uncomfortable way. I did not think that breaking them in would help. I wish they had worked for me. They are a great price and otherwise very comfortable boot.

Went with usual boot size and they feel great for day hikes. Walked 4 miles in wetlands after establishing fit for a few days on carpet. My feet stayed comfortable and dry. Good support on gravel, dirt trails and up and down small inclines. Felt sure footed on all types of dry land. My only disappointment is that these will be too warm to wear in spring and summer. Nearly perfect for what I wanted, but would not consider these for any type of backpacking trips.

I wasn't crazy about the grey in person but the boot was well made and comfortable. Sadly, it was about 1/2 size too big so back it went.

I loved the look of these but the top of the shoe (below the laces) put pressure on the top of my feet. They were comfy otherwise but not great ankle or arch support so I wouldn't rely on these for hiking. I would've kept them if it weren't for the foot pressure.

I have never tried Danner shoes before, but decided to test them based on a recommendation from my brother. We are planning a one-hundred mile hike this summer, and I wanted to get some shoes going well beforehand. All four pairs of Danner shoes/boots fit great and were comfortable right out of the box. This style did not make the cut, however. A spot on the top of my foot rubbed just at the start of the lacing.

Fit is true to size. I had ordered these along with one other Danner boot that I ended up liking better. These are super comfortable. As others have noted they make a strange plastic bag sound when walking.

I really liked these boots. I wear a size 10 M and didn't have a problem with the fit. The problem was with the left boot. The right boot was fine, but the left one had a weird curve at the instep and didn't match the right boot (although they looked fine until I put them on). I purchased them in the gray/plum color and they didn't have any more in my size or I would have re-ordered them. The only color left in my size was brown with green laces and that color combination just didn't appeal to me. Sadly, I returned them.
