BEWARE!!! The tread on these is soooo grippy. They caught the carpet at my home and I fell down the stairs, braking my arm and bruising nearly every part of my body. I’m lucky to be alive.

I was super excited to try this Merrell sneaker, with it's fantastic turquoise laces/purple & black color scheme. The coloring is BEAUTIFUL and the shape looks very nice- 5 starts for aesthetics. The back side of the heel feels supportive and well made too. But I am very puzzled by the underside tread of this shoe though. Why the heck would you design the tread look/feel like this? You can actually feel the tread through the shoe- a bumpy, ribbed sort of feel, and a little bit hard. With new shoe inserts, I am liking the Merrell sneaker once again, but not without doctoring it up a bit.

I had been eyeing these online and happened to see them in a store so I could try them on before purchasing. I am usually a 9 in everyday shoes and up to a 10 in athletic shoes, and the 9.5 was right for me. However, like some other reviewers, I noticed that these felt a tad narrow. After walking around the store for a long time and really debating whether to just take them home anyway, I noticed that there's a men's version that looked exactly the same. I decided to just try them on and I found the only difference to be in the width! I liked the men's color options just as much so ended up purchasing a men's size 8 and am really happy with them! I love how versatile they are - I plan to take them on a long trip where I want one pair for casual wear, moderate hiking, and light workouts. So, definitely recommend these, and suggest trying the men's version if your feet aren't narrow.

Comfortable and stylish! I decided to change shoe laces to black to match the look I was going for. Shoes provide great arch support.

These Merrell’s run REALLY large! I generally wear a women’s size 9 and the Alpine was almost an inch longer than my foot in the toe area. I’m going to reorder a size down and hope for the best. Super cute sneaker, though!

I have narrow feet but when I use the filter for it, it just takes away my options. I rely on reviews and when I read these ran narrow, l thought I would give them a try. They look skinny. They fit my narrow feet pretty well. I had some slippage in my right foot but I did my five mile dog walk with no real issues. Plenty of toe room for me! I’m hoping the crazy treads will hold up as I can feel the tiniest pebble in my treads and these appear to eliminate the problem.

The fit was good. I forgot that Merrell’s are way too firm for my feet. I have neuropathy in my feet and I need a more cushioned foot bed. I also didn’t like how the white fabric on the right foot puckered. Other than that they were really cute.

LOVE these shoes! I had been looking for a comfortable and stylish sneaker and these deliver! Wore them for a 12 hour on my feet the whole time work day and was pleasantly surprised with how well they supported my feet throughout the day.

These are nice and cushy. I usually have to size up for athletic shoes but had to send the first pair back and go down a half size. Nice style too.

I am a very consistent 9 1/2. I initially ordered a 9 based on reviews saying they run a little big. The 9 fit ok but was worried they would feel too big after wearing for awhile. I tried the 8 1/2 and they were perfect. My big toe is comfortable despite it being a full size down from my usual size and the width is perfect. I received two compliments my first day wearing. It’s a great looking shoe.

Hey all! Tnis shoe is really unique in that it's got a lot of style and also is very functional and comfortable. I have wide feet w high arches, usually prefer keens, but got these on sale to try- tney are a half size large as my usual seven was way too long. The 6.5 was shorter, better fit overalll. I wouldn't hike in these because I feel like the outside is made of that suede type material tnat would just look wrecked after maybe a couple muddy outings. I got these to wear to work as a nurse- the black are really nice looking and the purple/real at first seemed too young for me with the bright laces, no worries I got navy laces and now tney look much better! I recommend these for people who want an indoor/ outdoor shoe or casual shoe for town- rugged but more refined than a traditional low hiker.

These shoes are so colorful and fun! I like them so much I bought a second pair. I wear them with medium weight socks and they fit true to size.

These look great and they feel okay on my feet BUT the tread is dangerous. I fell TWICE today going downhill where it was a little wet. The tread makes a slide so you slip super easy. Also the rubber at the toe is starting to peel off and I’ve only worn them for about 4 miles. Disappointed that I can’t return them now that I’ve worn them. They’re kinda pricey and I don’t feel safe wearing them. And I’m on a long trip and they’re the only sneakers I brought with me. Don’t make the same mistake I made.

I really liked this shoe! I had a broken sesamoid bone and was heading to NYC for the week. I ordered 5 pairs and this was the winner. I walked 5-8 miles a day in these on the concrete and didn't have any issues with my feet. That is a huge win for me!

Aaaaahhhh....Great, soft toe box! I got the suede version in the Cloud color, and I have to say that this is one of the most comfy, pliable toe boxes I've ever put my foot into. Most shoes are reinforced at the end with cardboard between the layers of leather and my toe usually bumps into the end and is uncomfortable, but the toe box on these is super soft. The toe box is also the right shape for me. I like that it doesn't curve in on my big toe like most shoes styled like this one. I will echo someone else's review who said that you can feel the treads through the shoe. I will also be using a rigid orthotic, so hopefully that will solve that problem. Fit is true to size (THANK YOU, Merrell, for making Size 10.5!). Wish it had a tiny bit more arch support.

Fit well and very comfortable. Good traction on wet roads but have not used on snow yet.

I've been eyeing these shoes for a while but wasn't sure which color combo I wanted. I'm used to a slightly wider toebox in other shoes so these felt a little tight but loosened up after wearing them for a weekend. Otherwise they barely needed any breaking in and I now wear them all the time. They are really comfortable and look good with most of my pants. I wear a size 11 and worried these would look like clown shoes but they don't look or feel that way. Fit true to size. I saw in someone else's review that they switched out the bright white laces for black and I did the same - way better. Don't have any issues with the tread, neat pattern.

Loved the shoe! But, my usual size 8 was too large in the heel and kept slipping. I sized down to the 7.5 and it was too tight across the instep (read “painful). I really wanted to keep these beautiful shoes but, at my age, if it’s not comfortable right out of the box, I don’t keep them.

I love these shoes, the color is what first grabbed me. I first ordered 8.5, my normal size for a walking shoe, but felt the toe box was too snug. Went up a half size to 9 and they feel great.

Very cute sneakers that are very stylish looking for sneakers (ordered in black). The tread is outstanding and very grippy which will be perfect for winter wet weather. Just wish they had them in my size. Even the Merrell site doesn't. Do not agree with another reviewer who said they were too big and recommended that others size down. I sized down just 1/2 (because they were in-stock) and of course they are too small. Highly recommend!
