Great barefoot shoe. Stopped my PF in its tracks. I will be buying more of these. I love my gloves but needed some cushion !

I was in search for a "barefoot" styled recreational shoe that did have some support but with a minimal insole. I have been highly satisfied with these shoes. There is a wide toe box and just enough support for me. I work on my feet 7 plus hours, 5-6 days a week and I do not get fatigued! I typically wear women's size 8.5 but in these shoes I needed a size 9. They fit perfectly!

Like the color and the comfort

Too small. Hopefully the exchange to a half size bigger works out because they were otherwise what I'm looking for in a trail shoe.

I liked the style of this shoe. It fit approximately to size except that on me the fabric area over the toes was very baggy. I ended up returning it as the Bare Access Flex 2 was a much better fit for me. I think it would have been a nice light weight summer shoe if it had fit me.

I just received these shoes and have to admit I'm a little disappointed. This is my fourth pair of Bare Access shoes and I don't like the updated version. It is a much bulkier shoe than my previous pairs. The sole is much thicker and the barefoot feel isn't there. Still a very comfortable shoe, but just not as good (in my opinion) as previous versions were. It also fits bigger than my last 3 pairs, probably a 1/2 size bigger.

I love my Bare Access Flex 2 shoes, but these were not available in women's sizes so I tried the Bare Access XTR. The shoes are comfortable, but my left inside arch started to bother me after wearing for a week and so I went back to my old shoes.

I adore Bare access shoes and wear them for my work as a hospital nurse. This is my first xtr pair and the midsole is extraordinarily high. They aren't barefoot, in that there seems to be a very high arch support. I chose these bc of the vibram sole, which is great. But they're painful to those of us with flatter feet. I'm very disappointed and hope the insole can come out.

Love the color. Love the fit. I have to remove the inner sole to accommodate the use of ankle foot orthotics. Found the toe box to be a little tight. Also found the shoe lacking in the kind of support I have found in other Merrill products; therefore I can only wear them for occasionally.

I have been wearing Merrell's for years, especially the barefoot line, and I have always been the same size. These are too large and the arch isvery high. This creates a slip back into the heel as you walk. I don't know why hey changed the old style. They worked better beore.

I was so excited to get these shoes and I knew that the size was going to be different from my trail glove 5's (that I absolutely LOVE) so I got a 7.5 and an 8 just to be sure one of them was a perfect fit. The 7.5 is too small and the size 8 is too big. What gives? And I absolutely hate the narrow tongue on these shoes. It bunches up and puts pressure right on the top of my foot. The tongue on my trail glove 5's is absolute design perfection. No other brand has that tongue. Why would you ever make any running shoes without that feature? Also my heel slides around in these horribly. I will be returning both pairs of these. The only reason I'm giving these 2 stars is because they are nice looking shoes. Too bad neither of them fit at all.

While the shoe was well sized and the fit good, I found that the sole was thin and did not offer a lot of support while walking outside. I had tried the shoes indoors for a few hours and they felt OK but, when I tried them outside, I felt like I was walking bare feet. Unfortunately, after that, I could not return them. I wish the description of this particular shoe was a bit more informative

I'm very disappointed in these. I have a previous pair of date access that I adore, and have worn for many 12hr nursing shifts comfortably. This newer fit is nothing like the older ones. I only made it a few hours before my feet began aching terribly. I won't wear them again, and unfortunately cannot return them after wearing them for one shift.

It is not a minimal shoe. I was looking for a shoe that was not as minimal as the Merrell Glove, but allowed my feet to be natural. This one did not do it for me. It has too much arch support.

Entirely too narrow. Shoes run small. Order wider and larger than normal.
