I love these shoes! I needed a good walking shoe with lots of arch support, and these are it! If you have high arches, these are great, but I could see the arch support being too much if you don't have high arches. The toe bed is wider, which for me is great - I don't like having cramped toes. The traction is also terrific for these if you are walking on trails. Highly recommend!

I've only had them for a month but they've fared great in dry and wet conditions, from +15C to -5C. I find them very comfortable (I'm usually a Bare Access shoe runner) and they haven't changed my gait. No criticism so far.

I own many shoes from MerrielI. I keep buying them for all activities - from hiking to trail running to cross training - not to mention sandals and casual shoes - and have never been disappointed in their products. These sneakers fit great, have great feel in the road and satisfy my need for minimalist performance with cushion for pavement. Overall my expectations for another superb shoe - Merrill has delivered!

I'm recovering from surgery from Morton's neuroma. I found these shoes to be great 1 year post op as I get my feet stronger and wean off my orthotics. I am able to walk 2miles so far without my orthotics and the arch is enough support . They are cushioned, but not overly so that I still feel my foot contact the ground (which I am learning is important .) Nice wide tow box without looking super clownish .

I'm always a fan of Merrells and these exceed expectations. They are super comfortable right out the box, have plenty of room in the toe box while not being too big in the heel. The colors are gorgeous, tempting me to purchase another pair. I really like that this is an athletic shoe that is streamlined in appearance. I've gotten lots of compliments too. Thanks Merrell!

I walk daily and put on a lot of miles. I've only had these shoes for a few weeks but they are wonderful. Very flexible with a roomy toe box.

I've been dealing with really frustrating plantar fascia issues for the last year, and I wanted to start doing dedicated trail runs to get my feet off the pavement. I wanted to get some shoes to motivate me, but also, I wanted to find shoes that would support my arches while giving me a good amount of "feel" for the trail--I'm not a big cushioning person, but I know I need more of it for my feet these days. I was surprised and delighted to find that the Bare Access XTR has both a roomy toe box and natural foot shape while still maintaining really amazing arch support and structure. The nubs on the bottom are perfect for grip and traction, but the natural shape of the shoe and the neutral drop give me great trail feedback as I run. I feel fast, light on my feet, and supported. I feel like I can run again! Oh, also, don't sleep on the Goldfish color! I got it because there was limited stock and I was like, "Whatever who cares," but they're so cool! I'm very happy I bought these.

These shoes are fun! I'm a barefoot shoe kind of person and the Bare Access XTR provides a thin enough sole to where I feel the ground beneath me , all the while giving me the tread support I need to have safe and effective workouts. Right there with their comfort and functionality, the Goldfish color adds a bit of brightness that inspires me and adds a playful aspect to my routines.

These make my feet happy. Toe box is roomy yet snug on heel. I enjoy a more minimalist shoe for my 'shorter' 3-6 mile runs on gravel roads or trails so these are ideal for me. They are lightweight and responsive. I wear a 7.5 in reg shoes and ordered an 8 which fit great. I will be stocking up on these.

Saw my sister in a pair of Merrell's - green color and was instantly like, I need those. I ended up with this purple pair (my fav color) and they are a dream to wear. I'm into OCR, so I'll be back to get a pair for running races once the pandemic is over.

I was wearing a pair of adidas trail shoes and I felt like I just wasn't getting the support in my arch I needed. I tried replacing the soles with superfeet. Still didn't help. So I decided to get a different pair of trail shoes. My last several pairs were Merrell and it fit so well, I had support and they were comfy. Decided to go online since no stores were open at the time (yet). I ordered the Bare Access XTR, I like to trail run and I like to hike (lately light hikes to avoid the crowds in popular places). When these arrived I tried them on and they fit so well. I was a little nervous, sometimes my shoe sizes fluctuate. They were comfy and I could feel my arch being properly supported. I took these camping that weekend and my feet felt happy. Lots of awesome grip on the bottom, gave me confidence to walk on rocks without the bottoms giving out on me.

I just received the shoe, and have not wore it yet; however, the first try on I was amazed at how good they feel. The fit is great, good arch support, light weight, very supportive bottom traction. I am on my feet at work for 5 hours straight and needed a good quality shoe. The right balance and comfort of our feet are important; and I am confident the shoe is worth the extra cost. Wish I would have discovered Merrell years ago.
